Chapter 29: 29 | Learning The Technique (100 PS Bonus Chapter)

"Tell me. Where did you get it?"

Dexter simply smiled but said nothing.

Mira stared at him for several seconds, then quietly looked away.

She didn’t push further.

Instead, she drank the entire cup in one go.

Then immediately closed her eyes.

Mana began circulating through her body as she focused entirely on guiding the medicinal energy toward her damaged meridians.

At the side—

Lyra and Selene had heard the entire conversation.

At first, both were skeptical.

But after seeing Mira’s reaction—

They immediately drank theirs too.

The effect was instantaneous.

Their breathing immediately grew heavier.

Mana fluctuations surrounded both of them.

Without wasting another second—

They closed their eyes and began circulating the medicinal energy through their own damaged channels.

Dexter smiled faintly as he watched them.

Thankfully—

The herbs he received from the system were plentiful.

Nearly a pound each.

Enough for them to continue drinking for at least a week.

Unfortunately...

There was one drawback.

Rewards obtained from the system...

Could not be reused to trigger new rewards.

Otherwise—

This would have been ridiculously overpowered.

He needed fresh methods of gaining rewards.

Just then— Knock. Knock.

The room service had arrived. A staff member rolled a tray of food into the room, the smells of fresh bread, cooked eggs, and steaming meat filling the space.

After taking the tray, Dexter closed the door behind him. "The food is here,"

But none of the girls responded. All three remained seated silently, eyes shut, completely focused on circulating the medicinal energy through their damaged meridians.

Dexter chuckled softly. Then suddenly— a thought crossed his mind, sobering his mood.

The Divine Pill.

The reward he had obtained earlier, before his reconciliation with the girls. It had the power to completely repair one damaged body.

But he only had one.

One pill.

If he gave it to Mira— then Selene and Lyra would be left out. If he gave it to Selene, the other two might feel abandoned, If he gave it to Lyra— same problem.

No matter what— someone would feel left behind. And in a relationship as fragile and complicated as theirs, that could create unnecessary tension, could reopen wounds that had only just begun to heal.

After thinking for a moment, weighing the options in his mind— Dexter shook his head. Not yet. I’ll wait.

Quietly, he moved toward the door, casting one last look at the three women who had become such an unexpected and important part of his life. "I’ll be back soon."

None of them answered. All three were still fully immersed in cultivation, their bodies still, their breathing synchronized with the flow of energy through their systems.

---

Outside— the old man was already waiting. But unlike before— this time he wasn’t standing on the balcony.

Instead, he stood calmly in the open hotel courtyard below, hands clasped behind his back, his posture somehow both relaxed and focused.

As though he had been waiting for a long time.

Dexter approached quietly and greeted. "Good morning."

The old man nodded. Then asked calmly. "Are you ready?"

Dexter smiled, feeling a strange mixture of anticipation and nervousness. "Yes."

The old man said nothing further.

Instead, he slowly inhaled, his chest expanding with a deep breath that seemed to pull in more air than his frame should have been able to contain. Then exhaled, the release lasting far longer than any normal breath should.

And instantly. his aura changed.

Without warning, he began moving. His body entered the first form, then the second. Then the third. His breathing shifted with every movement, each inhale and exhale.

At that exact moment, a system notification appeared before Dexter, its text flickering rapidly as it processed what it was observing.

[Progress: 25%]

Then— 26%... 27%... 28%...

The percentage began climbing steadily,

Twenty minutes later— the old man completed one full cycle, He stopped and looked at Dexter, his eyes sharp and assessing.

"Did you get it?"

Dexter smiled faintly and replied. "Getting there."

The old man narrowed his eyes, clearly dissatisfied with that answer but not surprised by it either. Then immediately began again.

And again.

And again.

Over and over.

Repeated endlessly.

The hours passed. Morning slowly turned into afternoon, the sun climbing higher in the sky until it was directly on top of them.

Heat covered the courtyard, the air shimmering with thermal distortion,

Yet, the old man continued moving. Again. Again. Again. Like a machine.

Four full hours passed.

And through it all, there wasn’t a single bead of sweat on the old man’s body.

Dexter watched in stunned silence, his respect for the old man growing with each passing hour.

Even standing nearby, Dexter could feel an invisible pressure radiating from the old man, and he knew the man was probably a hidden powerhouse.

[Ding!]
