Chapter 70: Chapter 70: The Female Lead is so Gentle?

Lin En, seeing Yue Yue’s blank, wide-eyed stare, tilted her head to the side. Her soft pink hair cascaded over her shoulder as she pouted her lips slightly, a look of pure concern crossing her face.

"Oh dear, are you in shock? You haven’t said a word," Lin En murmured, stepping even closer into Yue Yue’s personal space.

She reached out with a pale, slender hand, hovering it near Yue Yue’s shoulder as if wanting to offer a hug but being afraid of overstepping.

"Please don’t be scared. My name is Lin En. I arrived just an hour before you. We’re in this together now!"

Yue Yue felt like she was watching a high-definition movie. Every detail of Lin En was perfect...her long lashes, the scent of lilies clinging to her, her tiny, delicate frame.

She was the ultimate "Pure Goddess" that all the orcs in the livestream were probably dreaming about.

"Don’t worry," Lin En continued cheerfully, her amber eyes sparkling. "The first Queen’s blessing is very powerful. It will make all this loneliness worth it. We can share a room nearby, and you can tell me all about the man who made you so sad to leave! Was he your brother? Or perhaps a very dear friend?"

Yue Yue finally snapped out of her daze. Her heart gave a sharp, jealous thud at the mention of Han Soi. She took a small step back, her eyes narrowing as she looked at the "Perfect Heroine" standing before her.

"He’s my husband," Yue Yue blurted out, her voice a bit sharper than she intended. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

Lin En’s eyes widened, and she let out a small, breathless "Oh!" of surprise. She clapped her hands together, her expression turning into one of pure, starry-eyed admiration.

"A husband? You’re already mated? That’s so romantic! No wonder he looked so ready to tear the gates down. He must love you very much!"

Yue Yue bit her lip, feeling a strange pride and wariness. The female lead was being so nice and so supportive that it was hard to stay angry.

But every time she looked at those cherry-blossom locks, she was reminded of the "plot" that wanted to steal her man.

"I’m fine," Yue Yue said, trying to regain her composure. "I just... I want to be alone for a bit."

"Of course, of course!" Lin En nodded vigorously, her pink hair swaying. "But you shouldn’t be alone for too long. Why don’t I walk you to the guest wing? I know where the best dessert is served!"

She didn’t wait for an answer, gently tucking her arm through Yue Yue’s and leading her down the hall. Yue Yue felt like she was being kidnapped by a very beautiful, very persistent angel.

For a moment, Yue Yue felt she was thinking too much... but she also knew she had every right to.

After all, this girl was the female lead...the one who would one day steal her husband.

So how could Yue Yue not worry about her?

But when Yue Yue looked at Lin En’s bright and cheerful face, she felt confused. Lin En did not look dangerous at all.

She looked kind, lively, and full of warm energy. She seemed too innocent to be the type of person who would hurt someone.

Lin En was trying very hard to make her feel comfortable. So Yue Yue sighed quietly and accepted her fate.

If she refused, Lin En would definitely cling to her even more... and still drag her along. So Yue Yue followed after her as they walked toward the tea house area.

Soon, they reached the place Lin En had mentioned, and Yue Yue was stunned.

The place looked like a scene from a fairy tale.

There were floating trays in the air, each tray decorated with tiny glowing wings. They gently drifted around without any servants or helpers guiding them. Many females were already sitting around, chatting and laughing happily.

The place felt light... peaceful... magical.

Yue Yue looked around in amazement. Everything was beautiful.

Before she could process anything, Lin En pulled her inside. A floating tray stopped in front of them. Lin En picked something from it and smiled.

"Take one too," she said.

Yue Yue picked up a small crystal bowl. Inside was a creamy dessert with a smooth texture. It looked soft, delicate, and very pretty.

She hesitated for a moment.

Lin En watched her with hopeful eyes.

So Yue Yue took a small bite. Her eyes slowly widened. It was delicious. Soft... sweet... rich in flavor.

Lin En burst into laughter at Yue Yue’s surprised expression.

"Eat more," she said happily. "Everything here is made from real ingredients without any chemicals. All of this is recreated from the ancient human civilization’s food. You’ll never regret tasting them."

Yue Yue nodded.

She had never eaten anything so good before. No wonder it tasted amazing; after all, it was real food and not any chemical shit.

At least something in this temple was truly wonderful. And that thing was food.

Without realizing it, Yue Yue finished the whole bowl and wanted another one. Lin En laughed and dragged her further inside.

"Don’t just eat this...we have many more things to try!"

Both of them continued tasting different delicacies together.

But suddenly, a group of three females nearby sneered.

"What country bumpkins. They’re acting like this is the first time they’ve seen food."

"How embarrassing."

"A real sophisticated female would never behave like that." Their voices were full of mocking.

Lin En’s expression froze. She bit her lip in shame.

Because... they were right about one thing. She really was a country girl. She came from a far-away star and had just turned eighteen. Being invited to the temple was her only chance to leave her old life behind.

Everything here was new to her.

The sights... the smells... the food.

She was simply happy to experience it.

But under the scornful looks of those noble females, her heart ached. It felt like a knife had pierced her chest. She lowered her head quietly and gently took Yue Yue’s hand.

"Let’s go somewhere else," she whispered.

Yue Yue remained silent. Her face showed no emotion... only a small frown as she glanced at the three females.

Lin En tugged her again.

"Yue Yue... let’s not argue with them. They are noble females. We cannot afford to offend them."
