Chapter 53: Chapter 53: Han Soi is such a bully!

Yue Yue realized that no matter how much she pouted, Han Soi was not going to let her step foot on that toxic ground. He was a wall of muscle and stubbornness when it came to her safety.

"Han Soi, listen to me," she said, looking him straight in the eyes with a serious expression.

"I have a special power. I can purify things. I want to see if I can heal the soil. Please, just let me try. I won’t go out there, I just want to test it."

Han Soi’s expression shifted instantly to one of deep worry. "Yue Yue, what are you saying? Purifying a piece of meat is one thing, but the ground? This soil is the source of the pollution. It is concentrated poison. It is much more dangerous than anything else."

But looking at her pitiful, pleading eyes, Han Soi felt his heart soften. He sighed heavily, unable to win against her gaze.

He reached into his spatial storage and pulled out a small, sterile alloy box and a miniature shovel. He stepped out of the tent for a second, scooped up a small amount of the black, hissing mud, and brought it back inside.

"If you must try, do it here. Do not leave this tent," he commanded.

Yue Yue nodded eagerly. She leaned over the box. At first, she accidentally let her fingertip graze the soil, and she immediately hissed in pain. "Ouch."

The toxicity was so high it had given her a small chemical burn instantly.

Han Soi flinched, his hand twitching to snatch the box away, but he forced himself to stay still.

He knew that if her power was like the spiritual comforting of high level orcs, any distraction could cause a mental backlash.

He held his breath, his eyes fixed on her, moving only his eyeballs as he watched her every move.

Yue Yue ignored the sting and focused. She channeled her energy into the black dirt. It was exhausting. It felt like she was trying to scrub a mountain of coal with a tiny sponge.

But slowly, the black mist stopped rising. The ugly, oily sheen disappeared. The soil turned from a sickly charcoal color to a rich, healthy brown.

Han Soi’s eyes nearly bulged out of his head. He was speechless. For centuries, the Empire’s top scientists and SSS rank researchers had spent trillions of star coins trying to purify even a handful of dirt. Every experiment had failed.

And yet, this delicate female had just done it in an alloy box.

Yue Yue pulled her hand back, wiping sweat from her forehead. She looked at Han Soi with a smug, triumphant smile.

Han Soi couldn’t help but smile back, his eyes filled with a pride so intense it was almost overwhelming. His wife was not just unique, she was a miracle.

"Watch this," she whispered. She reached into her spatial space and pulled out a mysterious seed she had bought earlier. She tucked it into the brown soil and covered it gently.

She released another spark of her power. In front of their very eyes, a tiny green sprout cracked through the surface. It grew at a supernatural speed, leaves unfurling and stems thickening until a small, vibrant plant stood tall in the box. Then, with a soft pop, it bore a tiny, glowing fruit.

Both of them sat there in stunned silence.

Yue Yue felt a wave of massive exhaustion hit her. Using her power on the S level pollution had drained her battery to zero. She felt like she could fall asleep right there on the mat, but the sight of her fruit of labor kept her awake. She had done it. She had grown life in a death zone.

"I did it..." she murmured, her voice small but proud. "It’s not useless."

Han Soi looked at the green plant, then at the pale, tired female in his oversized coat. He realized in that moment that Yue Yue wasn’t just a female to be protected... she was the most powerful female the Empire had ever seen.

And worry clouded his eyes looking at her naive eyes, he knew she could be easily fooled by the malicious people of the Empire.

Just her beauty was enough to fear countless ways, and if they knew about her abilities to purify everything, from meat to soil and even the pollution in the spiritual season of orcs, the Empire would definitely go mad and would do everything to keep her.

Ding.

Yue Yue’s eyes immediately widened. Finally this mission was completed, and she could breathe a sigh of relief.

And now her mission was completed. She hoped Han Soi also completed his mission here so they could get out from this polluted zone.

She couldn’t wait to go back home, and maybe then she would sell purified meat and fruits. Then she would have so much money.

Her eyes were sparkling as she immediately stood up... and suddenly Han Soi’s gaze fell on the slender ankles of hers, and the thought immediately snapped him back that she was not wearing anything inside.

The oversized military coat she was wearing was thick and heavy, but as she moved, the hem swished upward, completely exposing her slender, creamy white legs all the way up to her thighs.

Han Soi, who had been marveling at the miracle plant, suddenly felt his throat go dry.

His gaze involuntarily fell on her ankles, then traced the graceful curve of her legs. A wave of heat rushed to his face, and he felt like his self control was about to snap into pieces.

"Yue Yue, don’t move," he said, his voice dropping into a deep, strained note.

Yue Yue stopped mid cheer, looking at him with wide, bewildered eyes. "What? Is there a bug on me? Did the plant do something?"

Han Soi looked at her innocent, confused face and let out a low, shaky chuckle. He realized she really was just that oblivious. He stood up, reached out, and pulled her into his arms, wrapping the coat even tighter around her small frame.

"Never mind," he whispered, leaning down to press a deep, lingering kiss against her forehead. His eyes grew incredibly serious as he pulled back just an inch. "I am telling you this again, and you must listen. Never use this ability in front of anyone. Do you understand?"

He took a jagged breath, his thumb grazing her cheek. "Not even in front of me, Yue Yue. It is too dangerous. If the world knows what you can do, I won’t be able to keep you in my pocket anymore. They will try to take you." ƒгeewёbnovel.com

Yue Yue’s eyes widened. "But why? You are my beast husband. Why would I hide things from you?"

Those words... my beast husband hit Han Soi like a physical blow.

A dark, intense desire swirled in his deep violet eyes, a hunger that made Yue Yue’s heart pound against her ribs with sudden anticipation.

He leaned in, his lips hovering just a hair’s breadth away from hers. She closed her eyes, waiting for a real, soul searing kiss... but it never came.

Instead, he just gave her a light, teasing graze against her lips, not even a proper kiss, before pulling away with a smirk. "Just be careful, okay? That’s all I ask."

Yue Yue’s eyes snapped open. She felt completely flustered and cheated. He had teased her until her heart was racing, and then he just walked away?

"You—!" she huffed, her face turning a bright, angry red.

To hide her embarrassment and her sulking mood, she didn’t even wait for him to respond. Poof. In a flash of light, the beautiful girl vanished, and a tiny, very grumpy white snake plopped onto the mat.

She immediately slithered away, curling herself into a tight, angry ball in the corner of the tent, refusing to even look at him. freewebnovёl.ƈom

She was angry! He was clearly toying with her emotions. Hmph!!

Han Soi stood there, watching the little white croissant sulking in the corner, and let out a genuine, deep laugh that echoed through the small tent. She was too cute, even when she was mad at him.
