Xing Luoguang’s head snapped toward her. His face was terrifying; blood was trailing from his eyes, nose, and mouth, staining his dark skin. He looked like a god of death.
"Yue? How... why are you here?" his voice was a broken rasp. "Stay back! I have to... I have to end this for you!"
"You can’t do it that way!" Yue Yue lunged forward and grabbed his massive wrists, trying to pull his fingers away from Lin En’s neck.
"If you kill her, the world ends! I have a way to kill the thing inside her! Trust me!"
Luoguang was stunned. The sheer desperation in Yue Yue’s eyes made his murderous grip loosen. Lin En fell to the ground, gasping for air, clutching her bruised throat.
But Lin En didn’t look grateful. As she breathed in the cold air, her shrunken pupils turned toward Yue Yue. A twisted, unnatural grin appeared on her face.
"You... you foolish snake female," Lin En hissed, her voice sounding like two pieces of sandpaper rubbing together. "You actually came here to save me? Now, you will be the first one to die!"
Suddenly, Lin En’s eyes turned completely black. Not just the pupils, but the whites of her eyes vanished into a void of darkness. A black aura erupted from her pores.

Yue Yue closed her eyes and tapped into the very bottom of her soul. She ignored the system, ignored the pain, and focused on the S+++ Purification Energy her husband had always praised.
Her entire body began to glow with a blinding white light. She looked like a small sun in the middle of the dark nebula.
"Get out of her!" Yue Yue roared.
She lunged at Lin En, wrapping her glowing hands around Lin En’s head. Lin En tried to scream, but the light was too intense. Yue Yue poured every bit of her life force into the purification, trying to wrap the energy around the black void inside the female lead.

A horrifying, non human scream erupted from Lin En’s mouth. Suddenly, a mass of black, writhing shadows flew out of Lin En’s eyes and mouth. It looked like a giant, ghostly insect with a thousand legs.
The shadow didn’t vanish. Instead, it saw the source of its pain. It turned mid air and lunged directly at Yue Yue.
"YUE!" Luoguang screamed, reaching out to catch her.
But it was too late. The black shadow slammed into Yue Yue’s chest, consuming her white light.
Yue Yue felt a coldness she had never known. Her vision went dark as her consciousness was pulled into a deep, swirling vortex of evil.
