Chapter 300: Chapter 300: The Return of the Villains
Miao Qing looked at her crying, trembling figure, and for the first time, a slow, mysterious smile appeared in his eyes. It was not a smile of kindness...it was the smile of a player watching the final pieces of a game fall into place.
Suddenly, the floor of the mansion began to hum.
Vrrrrm!
Three massive, glowing arrays erupted around the fallen Phoenix. The light was so bright that Lin En had to shield her eyes, her smug laughter cutting off in her throat.
From the first array, a man with a cold expression stepped out, his aura making the air turn volatile. Han Soi had arrived.
From the second, a tall, silent figure with the eyes of a deep sea predator materialized, his presence heavy with the scent of the ocean. Cang Yuze stepped forward, his gaze immediately locking onto Yue Yue’s bloody face.
From the third, Xing Luoye appeared, his face twisted in a snarl of pure, unadulterated hatred as he saw Lin En.
The five villains were almost all gathered.
But that was not all. On the other side of the hall, two more arrays lit up with a golden light.
The first "Male Lead," Shao Han, the crown prince of the Sand Empire, stepped through the light. Beside him was the third "Male Lead," Cang Mingyu, his face calm but his hand already gripping the hilt of his sword.
The room was suddenly packed with the most powerful beings in the Interstellar Beast World. The air was so tense it felt like it would explode at any moment.
Lin En’s eyes widened with greed and triumph. My men! They are all here! The villains and the heroes... all of them have come for me!
Yue Yue sat on the floor, cradling the head of the injured White Phoenix, her tears dripping onto his white feathers. She looked at Han Soi, her first husband, and let out a sob.
"Soi... please... help him," she whispered.
Han Soi did not look at Lin En. He did not look at the other male leads. He only looked at Yue Yue and the collar marks on her neck.
"Every single person in this room who touched her," Han Soi said, his voice so cold it felt like death itself, "will wish they had never been born."
Han Soi, Cang Yuze, and Xing Luoye did not spare a single glance for the "Heroine" Lin En. Their eyes were locked on the center of the room.
There, their precious Yue Yue was a crying mess, her face pale and her small body trembling as she tried to shield the broken White Phoenix.
When they saw the dark, angry red marks on her neck, the remnants of the Taming Collar, and the way Feng Yanshen was pinned to the ground like a common beast, the three villains completely lost their reasoning.
"Yue Yue!" Xing Luoye screamed, his voice cracking.
They rushed to her side, their powerful auras clashing and cracking the marble floor beneath them. Cang Yuze immediately knelt, his cold hands shaking as he touched the bruises on Yue Yue’s neck.
Han Soi stood over them like a god of war, his blue hair whipping around his face as his killing intent reached a peak.
Lin En stood in the distance, her face twisting with an ugly, jealous rage. She had expected these men to fall at her feet the moment they saw her. She was the protagonist! She was the one with the system!
"Damn it!" she cursed, gritting her teeth so hard they bled. "These blind fools... how are they all here? Why are they looking at that bitch instead of me?"
She realized she could not tame all of them at once. She had used her most powerful "God Slaying Shackle" on Feng Yanshen, but she did not have enough system points to instantly control three more high level villains.
She looked at her own "team"...Shao Han, Cang Mingyu, Lu Huoyan, and Han Ruyan. They were all standing there, injured and confused, but still bound to her by the "destiny" the heavens had forged.
"What are you waiting for?!" Lin En screamed at her men, her voice like a screeching zerg. "Capture these three! How dare they challenge me in my own home? I will show them what happens to those who defy the Heavens!"
The four "Male Leads" roared, their beast instincts suppressed by Lin En’s influence. They lunged forward, clashing with Han Soi, Cang Yuze, and Xing Luoye.
While the villains and heroes tore the mansion apart, Miao Qing remained perfectly still. He did not listen to Lin En’s screeching orders. He did not join the fight. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
His amethyst eyes were fixed entirely on Yue Yue.
Yue Yue felt his piercing gaze and gulped. To her, this "Spirit Cat" was the most dangerous person in the room. He was too calm, too mysterious.
She tried to scoot away, her hands still resting on the Phoenix’s white feathers, trying to drag the crippled Feng Yanshen away from the man’s shadow.
Miao Qing did not let her go. He took a slow, graceful step forward, a small, unsettling smile curling on his lips. He leaned down, his voice a silky whisper that only Yue Yue could hear.
"Lady Yue Yue," he said. "Why are you hiding? Do not you want to save your second husband?"
Yue Yue froze. "What?"
"Xing Luoguang," Miao Qing whispered, his eyes dancing with a strange light.
Yue Yue’s heart skipped a beat. She looked over at the hole in the wall where Xing Luoguang had fallen from. He still had not come back.
"She used Zerg parasites to control him," Miao Qing explained, his voice full of casual cruelty. "Currently your husband has used way too much of his power, and now the parasites have become active."
"At this very moment, a microscopic Zerg germ is eating its way through half of his brain. If you do not save him now, the man you love will be nothing but an empty shell by sunrise. Are you really going to leave him like that?"
