Yue Yue rested comfortably in Han Soi’s arms, both of them content and wrapped in the warm afterglow of their sweet moment. The room felt peaceful, filled with quiet affection.
Suddenly, the door was pushed open with a soft click.
Yue Yue looked toward the entrance. Xing Luoye stood there, his handsome face lighting up the moment his eyes landed on her. He completely ignored the way Yue Yue was still clinging to Han Soi and stepped inside with a bright smile.
"Yue, you are awake. That’s good," he said cheerfully. He pushed the door wider and walked in carrying a large tray filled with many dishes.
"I personally cooked for you. See? All of them are very healthy and delicious, perfect for your fragile body after giving birth. They will definitely give you strength."
He placed the tray carefully in front of her on the floating table that adjusted itself smoothly.
However inside, Xing Luoye felt quite nervous. This was his first time ever daring to cook.
Last time, his brother had always handled the meals for Yue, and he was really good at it.
Today, with his brother’s guidance step by step, Xing Luoye had tried his best. He could only hope she would like it.
Yue Yue looked at the dishes curiously. Most of them looked strange to her. She had never seen anything like them before, only recognizing a few.
"What is this? And what is that? And that one over there?" she asked, pointing at each one with wide eyes.
Xing Luoye sat down beside the bed, his voice gentle as he explained each dish with pride.

Yue Yue listened with interest, though the names and appearances were completely new to her.
Xing Luoye picked up the chopsticks and gently fed her the first bite. The moment the food touched her tongue, her eyes lit up brightly. "Mmm! It’s really good!"
Xing Luoye’s nervous expression finally relaxed into a happy smile. He continued feeding her with care, one spoonful after another, clearly enjoying every second.
Han Soi watched quietly for a moment, then reached over with another pair of chopsticks.
He took a piece from the same bowl Xing Luoye was feeding Yue from and tasted it himself.
Xing Luoye immediately frowned. "What are you doing? This is for our female! Why are you eating it?"
Han Soi’s expression stayed calm, but there was a hint of nonchalant in his eyes.
"I have to check what you are feeding my female. If something is wrong and she is just eating it to keep your heart happy, I need to make sure it’s safe."

Yue Yue quickly chewed the large mouthful Xing Luoye had just fed her, swallowed, and shook her head with a bright smile. "No, no! It is really good. Here, taste it yourself."
She took the chopsticks from Xing Luoye’s hand and fed him a bite from the same pair she had used. Xing Luoye’s eyes widened.
A sweet, warm feeling spread through his chest as he ate from her hand, tasting the food she had already eaten. It really was delicious. His brother’s guidance had worked perfectly.

Han Soi did not eat much. He only tasted a few more bites to double-check that everything was truly good. He could not allow Xing Luoye to feed his female anything bad.
After making sure it was safe, he stood up. "I will go bring the children. Yue Yue really wanted to see them."
Yue Yue nodded softly, not stopping him. She knew he was going to fetch the cubs, and she missed them dearly. She had only seen them briefly before falling asleep.
As Han Soi walked toward the small attached room, Xing Luoye did not miss the chance to compete. "See? My cooking is perfect for her. She likes it so much her eyes lit up. You should learn from me."
Han Soi paused at the door and glanced back with a straight face. "Tasting once is not enough. I still need to make sure nothing will upset her stomach later. Your cooking might look good, but safety comes first."
Xing Luoye huffed lightly, continuing to feed Yue another bite. "Safety? She is eating happily. Stop pretending you are the only one who cares. I cooked with my own hands for the first time just for her. That’s real effort."
Han Soi chuckled softly as he disappeared into the next room for a moment. "Effort is good, but experience matters. Next time, I will cook and you can watch and learn properly."
Xing Luoye’s competitive spirit flared. He fed Yue another spoonful and said proudly, "No need. She already likes mine more. Right, Yue?"
Yue Yue could not help but smile at their bickering. She swallowed the food and teased gently, "Both are good. But if you two keep fighting, I might finish everything myself."
Xing Luoye immediately softened and fed her faster. "Then eat more from my hand. I made it specially for you."
