Xing Luoye immediately shut his mouth and turned his attention to the bed. The two precious babies were staring up at him with very big, curious eyes. He reached out a finger and gently petted their bald, fuzzy heads with a loving gaze.
His eyes watered again. "Babies, I am your father," he whispered. Then he felt a pang of sadness. "I wish Luoguang was here. He should see you too."
Suddenly, a thought hit him. He forgot that the other three men were standing right there. He immediately opened his digital terminal and started a video call to his brother.
After a few rings, the call was picked up. Xing Luoguang appeared on the screen. He looked tired and was covered in some dust from the chaos in the Land Empire. He looked worried, thinking his brother was calling because of an injury or a new attack.
But then, Xing Luoye turned the camera toward the small bed. When the two tiny, mythical Griffin cubs came into view, Xing Luoguang froze on the screen. He became so shocked that he couldn’t move or even blink.
"Are those..." Xing Luoguang’s voice was a tiny whisper from the speaker. "Are those really...yours? I mean, ours?"
"They are Griffins, Luoguang!" Xing Luoye shouted happily, forgetting all the secrets. "Look at their wings! Look at their little paws!"
The two little Griffin babies just blinked at the glowing screen, wondering why this man was trapped inside a tiny box.
Xing Luoye was so happy that he forgot how to be a cool, serious warrior. He held his terminal up high, moving the camera back and forth so his brother, Xing Luoguang, could see every tiny detail of the two Griffin cubs.
"Look at them, Luoguang! Do you see those wings? Do you see those little lion paws?" Xing Luoye shouted into the screen. He was boasting so loudly that the guards outside the door probably thought there was a party happening.
On the screen, Xing Luoguang could only nod his head again and again. He was so shocked that he couldn’t even find his voice. He looked at the two small babies and felt a huge wave of pride.

Xing Luoye puffed out his chest and looked at the other three men in the room... Cang Yuze, Feng Yanshen, and Han Soi. He gave them a very smug look, like he had just won the biggest prize in the entire world.
"Do you all see this?" Xing Luoye asked with a big, goofy grin. "They are not just half-Griffins. They are pure, one-hundred-percent Griffins! Do you know how impossible that is in our timeline?"
It was true. Even if one father was a Griffin, the cub usually took after the mother’s side or ended up being a mix. It was very rare for a baby to be born as a full, pure-blooded Griffin.
But looking at these two small cubs, anyone could see the truth. They had the golden eagle heads and the strong lion bodies of the ancient legends. Their bloodline was completely pure.
"They are mythical!" Xing Luoye laughed, his voice bouncing off the walls. "My children are the strongest! My children are the most beautiful!"
Feng Yanshen rolled his eyes and sighed. "We can see them, Luoye. You don’t have to scream in our ears."
But Xing Luoye didn’t care. He was too busy being a happy father. He even pointed the camera at his own face to show his brother his wide smile. "And look! They have my eyes! They are going to be even more handsome than me!"
Han Soi snorted. "They are only one day old. They don’t even have all their fur yet. How can you say they are handsome?"
"Because they are mine!" Xing Luoye shouted back, laughing like a madman. He was so happy that he was literally boasting in everyone’s face. He didn’t care if he looked silly. He had two perfect children, and he wanted the whole world to know.
Xing Luoguang laughed from the screen too. "Brother, you are going to wake up Yue Yue if you keep shouting like that."
Xing Luoye immediately covered his mouth with his hand. He looked at the sleeping Yue Yue and then back at the terminal. He whispered in a very quiet but still very smug voice, "I am the luckiest man in the world, Luowang. I have the best female and the best cubs."
He spent the next hour talking to his brother about how they would train the Griffins and what kind of gold they would use for their first gifts.
The other three men just sat there, watching the "mighty warrior" turn into a total fool for his kids. It was a very funny and heartwarming sight.
Xing Luoye continued to hold the terminal, but his voice became very soft and low. He looked at the screen and whispered to his brother, "Luoguang... do you want to see her? Do you want to see Yue Yue?"
On the other side of the screen, Xing Luoguang’s breath hitched. He had not seen Yue Yue for such a long time, and he was literally craving a glimpse of her face. "Yes," he whispered back. "Please, brother. Let me see her."
Xing Luoye carefully turned the camera away from the Griffin cubs and moved it toward the bed.
There, Yue Yue was sleeping peacefully. Her hair was spread out like silk on the pillow, and her face looked soft and tired.
When Xing Luoguang saw her, his heart almost melted. He stared at the screen, unable to look away, as if he wanted to reach through the digital image and touch her cheek.
While the two brothers were sharing this quiet moment, the other three men in the room were not quiet at all in their hearts.
Feng Yanshen, Han Soi, and Cang Yuze were all staring at the man on the screen with very sharp and judging eyes.
Yue Yue had already told them everything about her life in the Dune city. They knew this man, Xing Luoguang, was her second husband.
They were openly looking at him, checking every part of his face and his aura, but they did not say a single word. They were just "studying" him like a dangerous animal.
