The maid replied in a calm, smooth voice, "Of course, Young Miss. I am programmed to respond to all your needs."
Yue Yue gasped. "You even reply properly! Do you eat? Do you sleep? Do you get tired?"
"No, Young Miss," the robot answered politely. "I only require power charging once a month. Other than that, I am fully functional at all times."
Her mouth formed a perfect O shape as she circled around the maid like a curious cat. "So cool... so shiny... Can I touch your hair? It looks real."
"You may," the maid answered.
Yue Yue instantly poked the hair, then poked again, then pulled it a little. "It feels like real human hair! Are you sure you are a robot?"
"Yes, Young Miss," the maid said again, not bothered at all. "Would you like a room tour? Or tea? Or snacks?"
Yue Yue paused dramatically. "Can you make the tea sweet?"
"As sweet as you prefer."
Her face brightened even more. "Okay! Then... then make it super sweet! Extra sweet!" She waved her hands in excitement.
The maid bowed and moved smoothly to follow the order. Yue Yue watched her go with sparkly eyes, almost hopping on the spot.
She was going to enjoy her luxurious life.
Who said she was too mature to enjoy such things? Whoever said that could go eat dirt. She had a floating manor, she had robot maids, she had freedom, and she had... a giant room bigger than her home in her past life.
"Waaah... so pretty..." she whispered as she spun inside her bedroom like a little princess. The huge bed looked soft enough to swallow her whole. The crystal lights sparkled. Even the floor looked expensive enough to not step on.
But the moment she opened the bathroom door...she gasped.
Inside was a massive bathtub the size of a mini pool. There were glowing floor-tile designs, fragrant mists coming from tiny vents, and shelves filled with bottles that looked like high-class skincare she could never afford by herself.
"Oh... I must take a bath first. Immediately. Right now," she declared as if announcing to the heavens.
She turned to the robot maid. "Prepare everything! Candles! Rose petals! Floating tray! Snacks! Soft music!"
The maid bowed calmly. "As you wish, Young Miss."
Within minutes, the bathroom turned out exactly as she wanted it. Candles flickered softly, roses floated on the water, steam curled prettily, and soft music echoed like she was some rich young lady from a movie. A floating tray drifted across the surface carrying all kinds of snacks.
Yue Yue stared at it all.
Then she stared at her clothes and threw her clothes away instantly.
The robot maid waited politely on the side.
Yue Yue paused halfway through stepping into the tub, suddenly shy. "Uh... should I really be naked in front of you?"
The maid blinked robotic, lifeless eyes. "Young Miss, I do not process embarrassment."
"...Right. True." She nodded, confidence restored. "Then I also won’t process embarrassment."
And she slid into the warm water with a hum of pure bliss.
"Aaaah... this is heaven..."
The water hugged her body perfectly. Roses floated past her shoulders. Soft lights danced on the surface.
She reached for a beautiful glass filled with some fancy-looking juice. She sipped it...then her face twisted instantly.
"What kind of juice is this?? Is this even fruit?? Why does it taste like shit water pretending to be fruit juice?!"
Still, it wasn’t disgusting... at least not as bad as that nutrition solution she had suffered earlier. So she bravely gulped some more.
Then she grabbed a fried snack from the floating tray and popped it into her mouth.
Her eyes widened. "OH! This is actually good!"
It had real taste and flavor. She tried another snack... but nope. The rest were rubbish. Total useless waste of materials. She pushed them away with a disgusted expression.
"Hmph. Only this one snack is worth trying for."
So she lay back in the bathtub like a queen, drinking her juice-that-didn’t-want-to-be-juice, eating her one good snack, and letting the water soak her like she was born for this life.
"This world isn’t bad at all..." she muttered smugly as she extended her legs like a rich lady. "I could live like this forever. Villains? System? Responsibilities? Who cares? This bathtub is my destiny."
But it seemed someone was very jealous of her sudden luxurious life, because in the very next second...
