"Don’t harm him," Yue Yue said quickly. Her voice was slightly nervous.
"It was my decision to go outside."
"He is not at fault."
The moment Feng Yanshen heard those words, his entire expression froze.
A faint hurt suddenly appeared deep in his eyes.

All of it had piled heavily on her heart.

Han Soi continued rubbing her back gently, allowing her to cry without interrupting.
Not far away, Feng Yanshen watched the scene silently. Seeing Yue Yue crying like this made his chest tighten painfully. He could not bear it.
After a moment, he finally stepped forward.
Then he gently wrapped his arms around her from the other side.
His head slowly rested on her shoulder.
"Yue Yue..." he said quietly. His voice sounded unusually soft.
"I’m sorry."
"I will try to change."
He paused before continuing.
"You just... don’t cry." His arms tightened slightly as he held her.
"I know you have faced many things too."
"We do not blame you."
After a moment, he added in a low voice,
"After all... it was because of our own incapability that you were kidnapped in the first place." Feng Yanshen said in a low voice.
