Chapter 208: Chapter 208: You Just... Don’t Cry

Yue Yue opened her mouth slightly, but before she could respond, Xing Luoye had already reached into his storage space again.

Another scroll appeared in his hand.

"It has already been quite some time," he said calmly.

"We should return before someone notices your absence."

Yue Yue quickly nodded.

She knew very well that if she stayed away for too long, some people would definitely start looking for her.

Xing Luoye slowly opened the scroll.

A soft light immediately began glowing from the ancient paper.

"This one leads us back," he explained briefly.

Then he unfolded it completely.

A powerful swirl of energy suddenly filled the room.

Before anyone else could react...

Swish.

Both of their figures disappeared from the spacecraft of Dune City.

Moments later, the teleportation light appeared again inside a quiet corridor.

This time it was inside the massive spaceship of the Sea Empire.

The light faded quickly.

Yue Yue and Xing Luoye appeared once again.

But the moment they arrived...both of them froze.

Two tall figures were already standing directly in front of them.

Feng Yanshen and Han Soi.

The two men stood side by side with completely calm expressions on their faces.

Their gazes were cold and steady. They had clearly been waiting.

The sudden eye contact made Yue Yue’s heart skip slightly. She also felt a chill run down her spine.

Meanwhile, Xing Luoye’s gentle expression completely disappeared.

His face instantly turned stern and hard as he faced the two powerful men standing before them.

Yue Yue’s heart began beating faster. She suddenly did not know what to do. After all... she had disappeared without telling them anything.

Lowering her head slightly, she felt a wave of guilt rising inside her chest.

Just then, Feng Yanshen slowly moved, His tall figure moved calmly as he began walking toward her.

Each step he took made the air feel heavier.

Seeing him approach, Yue Yue instinctively lowered her head even more. Her hands clenched nervously together as if she were a child waiting to be scolded.

But before Feng Yanshen could reach her...

Someone suddenly stepped in front of her.

It was Xing Luoye.

Luoye had moved without hesitation, placing himself directly between Yue Yue and Feng Yanshen.

He simply could not watch her stand there with her head lowered like that. And he could not take the risk of Feng Yanshen losing control.

For a brief moment, the corridor became even colder.

Feng Yanshen stopped walking. His calm expression instantly turned chilling. His dark eyes slowly lifted to look at Luoye standing in his path.

"Move," Feng Yanshen said coldly.

"I am talking to my female."

But Xing Luoye did not move. He remained standing exactly where he was, his tall figure acting like a silent shield in front of Yue Yue.

His gaze was steady and firm. He had no intention of stepping aside.

The pressure between the two men instantly grew heavier.

Standing behind Luoye, Yue Yue felt the suffocating tension spreading through the corridor.

Her heart became even more anxious. She could not allow them to start fighting because of her.

Without thinking further, she suddenly stepped forward.

Luoye felt her hand gently touch his arm as she moved past him.

"Don’t harm him," Yue Yue said quickly. Her voice was slightly nervous.

"It was my decision to go outside."

"He is not at fault."

The moment Feng Yanshen heard those words, his entire expression froze.

A faint hurt suddenly appeared deep in his eyes.

So in her mind...

He only looked like someone who would harm others?

For a moment, he remained silent.

Then he slowly let out a quiet sigh. After all... perhaps he really had been that kind of person before. ƒreewebɳovel.com

Just as the atmosphere was becoming awkward again, another figure suddenly stepped forward.

Han Soi walked over casually and gently took Yue Yue’s hand. His usual bright smile appeared on his face.

"Yue Yue," he said lightly.

"We are not asking why you disappeared."

He spoke in a relaxed tone, though his words were direct.

"Just tell us before you go somewhere next time."

The moment Yue Yue heard that, something inside her finally broke. Her eyes instantly filled with tears.

So many things had happened in such a short time. The sudden attack from the empires. The people of Dune City escaping for their lives. The two brothers being poisoned.

All of it had piled heavily on her heart.

And deep down, in one small corner of her mind, she felt that she was the biggest reason behind everything.

If she had not been the so-called precious female.

Perhaps none of this would have happened.

Her tears suddenly began falling uncontrollably.

Seeing her cry like that, Han Soi’s smile instantly disappeared. Without hesitation, he pulled her gently into his arms.

His strong arms wrapped around her as he patted her back slowly.

Yue Yue buried her face against his broad chest and began crying softly.

"I’m sorry..." she sobbed.

"I’m really sorry..."

She repeated the words again and again.

"I didn’t want to neglect you..."

"It’s just... too many things happened."

"I was never prepared for any of this..."

Han Soi continued rubbing her back gently, allowing her to cry without interrupting.

Not far away, Feng Yanshen watched the scene silently. Seeing Yue Yue crying like this made his chest tighten painfully. He could not bear it.

After a moment, he finally stepped forward.

Then he gently wrapped his arms around her from the other side.

His head slowly rested on her shoulder.

"Yue Yue..." he said quietly. His voice sounded unusually soft.

"I’m sorry."

"I will try to change."

He paused before continuing.

"You just... don’t cry." His arms tightened slightly as he held her.

"I know you have faced many things too."

"We do not blame you."

After a moment, he added in a low voice,

"After all... it was because of our own incapability that you were kidnapped in the first place." Feng Yanshen said in a low voice.
