Chapter 135: Chapter 135: The Heir of Winged Serpent Clan

Yue Yue didn’t even notice the two men as she rushed to the stone table. She leaned over until her face was almost pressing against the glass of the incubator.

All her sleepiness had vanished, replaced by a surge of maternal instinct so strong it made her eyes sting.

"Baby... I’m here," she whispered, her voice trembling with sweetness. "Mama is right here. Don’t be afraid."

The effect was instantaneous.

The egg, which had been jerking violently a moment ago, suddenly stopped its frantic movements. It settled into a soft, rhythmic vibration, basking in the sound of her voice.

But after a few seconds of peace, a series of loud knocks echoed from inside the shell.

Crack!

Tak! Tak!

The cub was working harder than ever now. It wasn’t just trying to hatch; it was trying to break down the walls to get to her.

Every strike against the shell was more determined than the last. The little creature inside seemed desperate to finally meet the woman who spoke so kindly to it.

Yue Yue’s heart felt like it was overflowing. She watched the tiny hairline fractures spreading across the surface of the egg, her hands hovering over the glass as if she wanted to reach through and pull the baby out herself.

Han Soi stood right behind her, his large hand resting protectively on her shoulder. His eyes were fixed entirely on the duo...the mother and the egg.

For the first time, the fierce SSS-rank warrior looked completely vulnerable. His son was coming, and the woman he loved was welcoming him into the world. It was everything he had ever fought for. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

On the other side, Feng Yansheng remained leaning against his ancient throne. His silver eyes were not on the egg but solely on Yue Yue.

He watched the way her face glowed with love, the way her eyes softened, and the way she seemed to forget the rest of the world just for that little cub. freewёbnoνel.com

A strange, possessive ache stirred in his chest. Yue’er, he thought silently, his gaze darkening with a mix of envy and desire. You are so full of love for this little snake. You have to love my child just as much when the time comes. I won’t settle for a single drop less.

Suddenly, a loud SNAP echoed through the quiet room.

A small hole appeared at the very top of the egg. A tiny, obsidian-colored tip of a nose poked through the gap, sniffing the air for the first time.

"He’s here!" Yue Yue gasped, her breath catching in her throat. "Han Soi, look! He’s coming out!"

The shell finally gave way with a loud, wet crunch. After one last determined push, the little creature fully emerged from the egg, tumbling onto the soft padding of the incubator.

It was a beautiful, sleek black snake, its scales shimmering like polished obsidian.

On its back were two small, delicate limbs...the beginnings of what would eventually become massive, powerful wings. For now, they were just tiny, featherless buds, but they twitched with life. Unlike a normal snake, he moved using four small, sharp claws that gripped the fabric of the nest.

The little cub looked up, and Yue Yue gasped. He had huge, deep violet eyes that occupied half of his small face. He blinked at her, his head tilting curiously as he focused on the woman in front of him.

"Hiss! Hiss!"

He let out a soft hissing sound and immediately began crawling toward the glass, his tiny claws clicking against the surface. He wanted to get to her.

"My baby..." Yue Yue whispered, her voice cracking as tears finally blurred her vision. She looked at Han Soi, her hands trembling. "Han Soi, open the incubator! Please, let me hold him!"

Han Soi didn’t hesitate. His own hands were shaking slightly as he reached out and lifted the heavy glass lid. The barrier was finally gone.

The moment the air hit him, the little black snake hissed again, more loudly this time. He lunged toward Yue Yue’s hands. She cupped her palms together, and the cub crawled right onto her skin.

He was so small that he fit perfectly in the center of her hands, his tiny body feeling warm and surprisingly heavy for his size.

He coiled his tail around her thumb and nuzzled his cold nose against her palm, letting out a satisfied purr.

"Look at him," Yue Yue sobbed happily, bringing the cub close to her face. "He’s so beautiful. He looks just like you, Han Soi."

Han Soi leaned in, his large finger gently stroking the top of the cub’s head. The little snake didn’t flinch; instead, he leaned into his father’s touch, his violet eyes closing in content.

Feng Yansheng stood back, watching the scene. Even his cold heart felt a strange tug. The cub was undeniably powerful...he could feel the SSS-rank potential radiating from those tiny black scales.

But the peaceful moment didn’t last long. Outside the heavy doors, the sound of shouting grew louder.

A powerful, familiar roar shook the walls of the main shrine.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY! THAT IS MY GRANDSON’S AURA!"

Han Qiaone had finally arrived, and he was not planning to wait for an invitation.

The room was filled with the soft sounds of the newborn cub, but the heavy thud of footsteps outside made everyone freeze.

Yue Yue stiffened, her arms instinctively pulling the tiny black snake closer to her chest. She recognized that voice...booming, arrogant, and full of a power that made her skin crawl.

It was the voice of Han Soi’s father.

"When did he get here?" Yue Yue whispered, her eyes wide as she looked at Han Soi. "Why is your father at the temple?"

Han Soi didn’t answer immediately. His face was stiff, and his eyes flashed with a dark, dangerous anger. He looked like he wanted to tear the door down himself just to keep the person on the other side away.

Feng Yansheng also stopped moving. His casual, playful expression vanished.

He stood tall, his eyes narrowing toward the entrance. The presence of another powerful Orc in his inner sanctum was an insult.

"Han Soi?" Yue Yue pressed, her voice small. A flicker of hope appeared on her face. "Did he come all this way just to see our son? Does he want to meet his grandson?"

Looking at her hopeful expression, Han Soi felt a sharp pain in his chest.

He wanted to protect her innocence, but he knew the truth. Han Qiaone hadn’t traveled across empires just to give a warm welcome. He had come to claim the bloodline. He had come to take the child back to the Winged Serpent Clan, with or without Yue Yue’s permission.

"He didn’t come here for a family visit, Yue Yue," Han Soi said, his voice grating and harsh.

Before he could explain further, the heavy, reinforced doors of the main shrine were pushed open. With a massive BOOM. The doors flew open, hitting the marble walls with enough force to crack them.

Han Qiaone stepped into the room.

He looked like an older version of Han Soi, but his presence was much more suffocating.

His long hair flowed behind him, and his eyes were bloodshot with exhaustion and frantic excitement. He didn’t even look at his son or the High Priest. His gaze locked onto the small, dark bundle in Yue Yue’s arms.
