Chapter 468: Inheritance: Revelation Of The Ancients
Seeing Sunny’s stunned expression, the frail old man paused. He realized the sheer, apocalyptic weight of the truth was difficult to process, even for a god. He decided to continue in a simpler form, breaking down the multiversal hierarchy so Sunny could easily understand the terrifying potential sleeping within his own veins:
"The God Bloodline you have seen so far, these are all normal god bloodlines gotten from normal gods and Beasts, which are the descendants of the Ancient... The Ancient Bloodline is the true pure bloodline in this world, the Leaders of all Bloodlines. Let me explain it to you."
With a gentle wave of his withered hand, the hyper-realistic galaxy projected in the room shifted. Swirling nebulas condensed into vibrant, living worlds, and the ethereal dust formed into the colossal, phantom silhouettes of different creatures—dragons that coiled around stars, and serpents that swallowed the void.
"Normal Gods are like the Governors of a country. They have "Authority" to enforce rules. Rules like the laws of gravity, element or light, and darkness. They are powerful because the "System" recognizes their status." He smiled lightly at Sunny, the cosmic light reflecting in his ancient eyes.
"Ancient Gods and Beasts are the Architects who built the land the country sits on. They don’t need "status" or "permission" to be powerful. Their strength is biological and fundamental. If a Normal God tells the Earth to move, the Earth obeys because of a law; if an Ancient God-Beast tells the Earth to move, the Earth moves because it is afraid of its creator... Do you understand?" freewēbnoveℓ.com
Sunny absorbed the holographic display of cosmic architects, the gears of his strategic mind turning rapidly. "So An Ancient Bloodline actually originated from true ancient gods and Beasts?"
"Correct, you must master and awaken these bloodlines continuously, to bring out the full powers... Due to their disastrous abilities, they are more difficult to master, which makes it seem like a god Bloodline is stronger. But in truth, before these ancient bloodlines, God rank bloodline are nothing but trash."
He relaxed his aching back against the pristine pillows of his bed, looking upon Sunny not just as a successor, but as the ultimate pinnacle of evolution:
"A God Bloodline makes you a master of the world’s rules. An Ancient God Bloodline makes you the reason those rules exist in the first place. One is a high-ranking official; the other is the very foundation of the universe... Do you understand now?" He asked.
Sunny blinked, the memories of his most harrowing, impossible battles flashing through his mind. The unexplainable survivability, the raw, chaotic energy that always shielded his soul when logic dictated he should have died.
"So that’s why I wasn’t blown up by Lilith in the past?"
"Correct, you not only have ancient bloodline, you have ten at that... And at that time, you already unlocked more than one... So tell me. How can trash who only have God bloodline or fake ancient bloodline defeat someone with more than one pure ancient bloodlines... By now, your Mastery over these bloodlines is in a whole new level." He smiled softly at Sunny, an expression filled with deep, paternal pride.
"Now, you are hunting more ancient Beasts, absorbing their bloodlines, and you now have twenty Ancient Bloodlines in your, including the great Phoenix, and deities... Truthfully, I am scared of your current strength." He admitted, his voice holding a trace of genuine awe at the monster he had helped cultivate.
"Now everything makes sense... This is why when I was training Jinx and Ellen, I could easily destroy all their Bloodlines skills... I am just too overpowered." He muttered to himself, finally realizing that he wasn’t just breaking their techniques with skill; his very biology was passively dominating their lesser authorities.
"Hahaha! Asking which is the strongest... Ignorance is cute; how can you even compare them?!" The man continued, still finding Sunny’s earlier question intensely amusing:
"God Bloodline; Imagine a very fancy, gold-plated kitchen tap. It provides clean, high-quality water (power) whenever you need it, but the flow is limited by the size of the pipe. And an Ancient God Bloodline; Imagine the entire Ocean. It is vast, heavy, and terrifyingly deep. It isn’t "clean" or "refined"—it’s wild and dangerous—but the sheer volume and pressure of that power will simply crush the pipe of the kitchen tap... And you want to compare them---"
"---Ok, I get it, An ancient bloodline is stronger." Sunny quickly said, eager to shift away from the old man’s teasing, but his mind caught onto a lingering flaw. He changed the topic:
"But why can’t I see the details of my bloodlines from the system?" He asked, turning his head to the silent humanoid System standing obediently some feet away in the sterile room.
"I already said this is a very important secret." The old man raised his frail hand, and with the last of his commanding strength, snapped his fingers.
".....?!"
Sunny watched in absolute shock as the humanoid system—suddenly shattered into thousands of brilliant, crystalline lights. The fragments swirled like a miniature galaxy, flew directly towards him, and sank seamlessly into his forehead, stunning him in place as an infinite library of forbidden data, and abilities flooded his consciousness.
"That’s for the best... Now you and the system are one. You will gain all my memories, abilities and knowledge in the system... Who knows, you might even gain the ability to create your own system, and pass it on to your chosen." He gestured weakly for Sunny to come closer, his physical form beginning to falter.
Sunny stood up from his spot and walked solemnly towards his bedside, feeling the heavy integration of the System within his very soul.
"Take my hand child, I have cultivated you for so long, it’s time to take my place... You will now become the realm ruler of the fifth realm, protect It and Victoria... Can you do that?"
Sunny nodded his head, his golden eyes burning with unwavering resolve. He gripped the old man’s cold, fading hand firmly. "I will protect the realms with my life." He said.
"That’s good... I made the right choice... Oh, My name is Dominic."
With those final, peaceful words, Dominic’s mortal shell dissolved completely. His body shattered into a torrent of pure, blinding conceptual light that flew directly towards Sunny, merging with him on a molecular level.
’Should I have asked him about Josephine? She has two ancient bloodlines, was it also because of Ezekiel?’ He thought to himself.
Sunny closed his eyes, bracing himself as the torrential, agonizing weight of the cosmos crashed down upon his shoulders. He was actively accepting the whole five foundational laws of the Fifth Realm, weaving them directly into his being, making 11 true laws currently under his absolute command.
On that historic day, Sunny became the Realm Ruler of the First and Fifth Realms—the very first supreme sovereign in existence to successfully rule over two multiversal domains simultaneously.
