Chapter 462: The Extortion

[The Mountain Peak.]

"Ok, Ok, I heard you... You are free to bring all your force here, but remember, you can’t destroy my realm, and also, You must get rid of the evil blood clan."

Tan Suey spoke with a slight tremble in her voice, stubbornly refusing to look up at the suffocating, death-infused darkness of the dragon hovering above them. As the Goddess of the Moon, she was used to being the most intimidating presence in any room, but the sheer, primordial weight of the God of Death was too much to casually dismiss.

"That’s all I need."

Sunny snapped his fingers. Instantly, the massive smoke dragon collapsed in on itself, vanishing into the cold mountain air without a trace. He smiled warmly, the terrifying aura dissipating as if it had never existed, and asked:

"What is in for me?"

"Huh?" Tan Suey shot him a fierce glare, her silver eyes flashing with indignant divine light.

"What do you mean by that?!! I already gave you the right to bring your army here and also hunt the Beast you’re after, what else do you want?" she asked, a deep, frustrated frown marring her flawless face.

"Hold on." Sunny raised his palm toward her, stopping her tirade in its tracks.

"I can do these two even if you don’t allow it, I will just use force. So you didn’t help with any of these... I am being friendly, that’s why I am asking for something in return."

"You... You are shameless!!" Tan Suey snapped at him, her regal composure fracturing completely.

"Hey! What can you do about it? Come on, you are a realm ruler, you’ll surely have valuable treasures on you," Sunny said with a cheeky smirk, completely unbothered by her divine wrath. To him, this wasn’t a clash of gods; it was a business transaction.

"Fine! Help me defeat the Evil blood clan, and I will give you a god rank artifact! What about that?" she asked, staring at Sunny with a deep frown, hoping a weapon of that caliber would satisfy his bottomless greed.

"Hahaha! That’s the spirit! I need you to add Primordial stones in it, how many can you give!" Sunny laughed, his eyes gleaming at the mention of loot.

"You--"

Tan Suey paused, seeing Sunny’s terrifyingly serious expression beneath his jovial tone. She exhaled a long, defeated breath, realizing she had zero leverage.

"I can give you five billion."

"Make it ten."

"You’re actually negotiating with me?" Tan Suey was so angry she felt she could launch at him and tear his throat out, but she forcefully held herself back. Engaging in physical combat with the Ruler of the First Realm over cultivation resources was a death sentence.

"Defeat them first, and I will give it to you!" she finally said, trying to claw back some semblance of authority.

"Not allowed, I will take the artifact later, but I need the Primordial stones now," Sunny said, shamelessly stretching his open hand toward her, waiting for payment upfront.

"A realm ruler, and you’re billing a woman, aren’t you embarrassed or something," Tan Suey muttered with violently gritted teeth. She reached into the shimmering void beside her, bringing out a dense, heavy pouch from her spatial storage.

’What can I do? I can’t beat him,’ she thought bitterly, forcefully handing him her precious reserve of Primordial Stones—the highest grade of condensed universal energy.

"That’s the spirit!! I have a feeling we will be good friends," Sunny said with a bright, satisfied smile, smoothly storing the immense fortune into his own spatial storage.

’Why do I feel like I just got robbed?’ Tan Suey thought, staring at Sunny with a deep, resentful frown.

"Stop frowning at me, just take me to the place those guys are located... Leave the rest to me."

Tan Suey exhaled sharply. Resolving to just get this nightmare over with, she waved her elegant hand. Instantly, the spatial laws of the moon wrapped around them, and the two vanished from the mountain peak.

[The Richest Land of the Second Realm — Tan Xui]

Sunny and Tan Suey appeared high above the sky, hovering silently in the freezing upper atmosphere.

"Where is the place?" Sunny asked, moving his sharp golden gaze over the endless sea of white clouds stretching out beneath them.

"Right below us." Tan Suey pointed a slender finger at the ground. Following her command, the clouds parted rapidly, making way to reveal the earth below.

Nestled in the center of a vast, vibrant valley was a huge city. However, it was completely enclosed by a sickening, pulsating red dome. The barrier looked like coagulated blood, sealing the city off from the rest of the world and radiating an intensely foul, parasitic energy.

"Is that a city? Does it belong to them?" Sunny asked in genuine confusion. His plan was to wipe out the Evil Blood Clan to avenge the fallen, but he had no intention of butchering innocent people in the crossfire.

"Of course not! The evil blood clan only consist of five to ten thousand people, I can’t accurately tell, but that city has more than twenty thousand people... Even with their soldiers, the evil blood clan defeated the city, and took it hostage. With the barrier, I have no idea what’s happening in there, or how the people are being treated," she said. A look of profound sadness and guilt crossed her face as she stared down at the captive city, haunted by her inability to pierce the bloody veil.

Sunny moved his gaze outward, surveying the land outside the city walls. He saw resource-rich soil, crystal-clear rivers, and terrain practically overflowing with natural vitality.

"It seems they moved here due to the land and resources, anyway... You didn’t pay me for survivors," he said, turning to her with a calculating, almost detached smile.

"You... Seriously? Fine!! If you kill them without hurting a single innocent soul in that city, I will become yours," she said, turning to Sunny abruptly. Her face was set in a mask of absolute, desperate determination. As a goddess, her freedom and purity were her highest pride, but saving her people was her fundamental duty.

"Hey!! Hold on there!!! I am already married, and also have four kids!! I don’t need another wife!" Sunny yelled, his calm, calculating demeanor instantly shattering. He physically recoiled, stepping back in the air to create immediate distance from her, looking at her as if she were a live grenade.

"Really? Someone with your strength should have more than ten wives... But here you are, even rejecting a beauty like me, even when I want to be part of your harem," Tan Suey noted, genuinely baffled. In the realms of gods and conquerors, hoarding beautiful women was as common as hoarding Primordial stones. Yet the strongest being she had ever met was acting terrified of a simple proposition.

"Please shut up! I don’t need a harem, and I will never have one, My wife is enough... Now, what will you give me, other than yourself?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest. His gaze was fixed firmly on her, making it crystal clear that his loyalty to his family was the one boundary he would never, ever cross.
