Chapter 183: Genetic Battle Suit Functions
This bore similarity to the time he awakened the Will stat while still being a Shackled rank human.
But this time he unlocked a slot supposedly meant for those two ranks ahead.
Seth’s eyes traced his status...

His eyes lingered on the title Origin Blessed. This was the same title that allowed him a 100% drop rate in the origin realm as well as unlimited respawn chances.
It also granted him the chance to stay in the origin realm for an unlimited amount of time.
He had suspected he got this title because of the so-called Origin Soul Adam had highlighted that he bore.
But could this also be the reason for this anomaly?
He didn’t need to ask the Oracle why there was a rank requirement to gain new attributes and slots like Class and Profession.
He already understood that it wasn’t that lower lifeforms were being denied the chance to gain one.
It was that they couldn’t bear it...
For example, his Will. The mere fact that he awakened it as a Shackled human made him one of, if not the strongest, Shackled rank individuals on Earth.
Heck, he was even able to slay a Charm Beast — something the Oracle had warned was statistically impossible.
All because he awakened something beyond his grade at the last moment.
Could it be that the reason the system allowed him a chance to access these forces was precisely because of his Origin Soul?
As Adam once told him, the Origin Soul was so vast it could even bear the core flames of the Earth — something that would have incinerated Adam in all his powers.
But Seth had withstood it, and still came out unscathed...
Maybe his Origin Soul allowed his existence to bear what others of his rank couldn’t?
Maybe the Origin knew this, hence saw no reason to restrict his access to this force?
Seth wasn’t sure, but he felt he was close to the truth...
But since the Oracle couldn’t answer the question he needed, he would have to find more about this new slot called Profession all by himself.
Seth wished he could relate things of the Origin to human terms, but he knew not to make such mistakes.
Just because there were correlations in the vocabulary didn’t mean the words held the same meaning.
After all, one had to realize everything the system displayed was a direct translation of whatever primal language it spoke in.
And the word sitting as the slot "Profession" might be the only word it could use to express this slot. That didn’t mean it carried the same meaning.
Dismissing the Oracle, he got to his feet to equip his genetic battle suit.
Due to the military intervention, he hadn’t had time to find out the function this armor had.
According to Brandon, all genetic armaments bore functions, gained based on what genes they mirrored.
And seeing that this genetic battle suit was crafted with his genes as a template, he suspected its factor would be related to either the Asura King Lineage or the Grand Weapon Maester’s lineage.
’Or maybe both?’ he thought as the static blue flickered, encasing the facial opening.
Once more he was met with the sight of the battle suit stats and current status.
His eyes flashed. "Are you there?" freeωebnovēl.c૦m
The screen went blank, turning translucent as a voice rang in his ears.
[I’m always here at your service, Master.]
Seth’s eyes flashed. Hearing the AI speak gave him quite the feeling. ’I feel like Iron Man.’ He chuckled to himself.
"Let’s give you a name. I can’t keep addressing you without one, can I now?" Seth said to Autonomous Support.
And it responded in beat.
[As you wish, Master. I will be honored.]
Compared to the Oracle, this Autonomous system felt more lifelike, compared to the monotone nature of the Oracle.
Thinking for a bit, he just decided to go with the first name that came to mind.
"Mark... let’s call you Mark." Seth snapped his fingers as he announced.
[Registering designated mode of address...]
The core of the armor pulsed brightly before it began to dim.
[Registration complete. Designated mode of address/name "Mark" has been registered.]
Seth smiled. "So Mark, tell me the full function of the battle armor..."
The reason Seth deduced the passive effect of the Absolute Weapon Resonance didn’t reveal this to him was because it couldn’t read the Primordial gene patterns for some reason.
No matter how he tried, he never got information on the weapon’s function, though everything else flowed naturally into his mind.
This info remained elusive.
[As you command, Master...]
[Function of the Gene Battle Suit includes...]
[Blood Aggression!]
[Item Restructuring!!]
[Details of Blood Aggression include: the ability to feed on host blood to initiate instant overdrive module!]
[Details of Item Restructuring include: the ability to tamper with atomic bonds of all items, manipulating structure to a certain extent.]
Seth’s eyes glowed brighter the more Mark responded.
’Just as I hoped, two functions!’ Seth celebrated inwardly. The genetic armament gained two functions due to his dual lineages.
He didn’t even need to guess which stemmed from which — their abilities were telling enough.
’With this I think I’ve made all preparations needed for the origin realm!’
Seth had gone through a lot. He had gained a lot of items from Flash Sales, he had a pet, and then there was the fact that he upgraded his race.
At this point, what else did he need aside from a class?
Once that was obtained, he could then say he was fully prepared for war.
He dismissed the suit and collapsed back onto his bed. It was already dusk, and by tomorrow they’d be going to the origin realm.
He needed rest...
Before he could summarize his thoughts, a knock rang on his door, causing him to sit up.
"Who’s there!"
"Dinner’s ready!" Jack’s gruff voice rang.
Followed by immediate receding footsteps...
’Ah? They can already cook?’ Seth chuckled to himself.
He could imagine his absence for the past three days forced them to acquire the skills needed to cook...
’Fine, let’s eat first. After that I can go for my nap.’ Seth decided.
He went downstairs, and fortunately no one teased him, but they did have a lively conversation.
Mostly him speaking about things he noticed on his quest to extract required ores.
After dinner, he joined Jack in doing the dishes and everyone bade each other goodnight.
That was after agreeing on the time they would be leaving...
The sun dipped down the horizon, welcoming the night, the cold that followed several times the usual.
The planetary upgrade already showing signs of completion.
Lights across all their rooms switched off one after the other, as everyone went into slumber...
Getting as much rest as they’d be needing, because tomorrow no one knew what lay in wait for them on the other side.
