Chapter 85: Chapter 85: Talking to Sect Leader [1]

After finishing his bath, Damon stepped out of his room feeling refreshed, he made his way toward the courtyard.

The morning air was crisp and cool against his face, carrying the faint scent of blooming herbs from the surrounding gardens.

Then he stopped dead in his tracks.

Standing in the center of the courtyard was a figure that he recognised immediately — Mei Nightrider, in all her overwhelming, mature glory.

Her long deep purple hair cascaded like a silken river down to the small of her back, catching the morning light with an almost otherworldly sheen.

She stood with her arms folded beneath her massive boobs, the movement causing her heavy chest to press upward and practically spill over her crossed forearms.

Her signature tight-fitting black dress clung to every generous curve of her figure, the ample cleavage cut doing absolutely nothing to disguise the breathtaking expanse of pale, jade-like skin it revealed.

Damon’s eyes betrayed him entirely.

They drifted downward before he could stop himself, tracing the elegant curve of her figure with an appreciation he hadn’t quite consented to.

Gulp.

The sound of his own swallow was humiliatingly audible in the quiet courtyard air.

"Boy~"

Her voice cut through the moment like a blade wrapped in silk. That single word, drawn out with her signature playful lilt, snapped Damon sharply back to awareness.

’Dammit, That was dangerously close. Her seductive aura almost pulled me under entirely.’ He thought, forcing his eyes to meet her predatory purple ones.

A faint, knowing smile curved her vibrant red lips, as if she had watched every second of his internal battle and found it thoroughly entertaining.

"Come with me," she said simply.

"Where?" Damon asked.

"Hector wants a word with you."

The casual way she used the sect leader’s given name spoke volumes.

Theirs was clearly not a normal acquaintance — they knew each other well, which raised the possibility that the sect leader was already aware of exactly who, and what, Mei Nightrider truly was.

"Okay," Damon replied evenly.

Without further ceremony, Mei closed the distance between them, her hips swaying with each step in a manner that seemed entirely calculated.

She reached out and curled her fingers around his hand, her grip firm and warm, and then she launched them both to sky, dragging Damon off the ground as effortlessly as one might lift a feather.

They arrived at the sect leader’s residence within moments.

With Mei’s Saint Spirit Realm cultivation carrying them both through the air, the journey lasted no longer than a few heartbeats, the sprawling sect grounds blurring beneath them before the grand structure came into sharp focus.

It was an imposing building, heavy with the quiet authority befitting the man who commanded the Azure Dragon Sect.

Layered rooftops curved upward at their edges, adorned with carved azure dragons whose open mouths seemed to swallow the morning mist.

Tall wooden doors, reinforced with spiritual inscriptions that hummed faintly with restrained power, stood at the entrance.

Mei did not slow her pace for a single step. She pushed the doors open without the slightest hesitation, strolling inside as though the entire residence belonged to her, her tight dress swaying with each deliberate stride.

Damon followed a half-step behind, golden eyes scanning the interior with quiet interest, cataloguing the spatial layout and the faint traces of suppressed spiritual energy layered throughout the walls.

He spotted the sect leader standing out on a wide balcony, his hands clasped at his back as he gazed out over the sect grounds below.

"Hector, I brought him, as you asked~" Mei announced, her voice carrying its usual honeyed lilt.

The man turned. Hector was older, composed, with sharp eyes that had clearly spent decades measuring people and never quite stopped.

He offered Mei a respectful nod before those eyes shifted fully onto Damon.

"Thank you, Mei." fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

Damon felt it immediately — a subtle but deliberate pressure, the sect leader’s spiritual sense washing over him in a quiet, methodical probe, testing the surface of his cultivation.

Damon kept his expression easy and unhurried, allowing it without reaction.

After a few measured seconds, Hector’s expression softened into something that resembled genuine approval, a slight smile settling at the corner of his mouth.

"Impressive," Hector said. "It has barely been a week since you cleared the inner disciple examination, and you have already broken through another level."

Damon returned the remark with a calm, easy smile, neither confirming nor denying anything beyond what was already visible.

"Come," Hector said, gesturing toward a chair positioned nearby on the balcony.

"Sit. There are things I wish to discuss with you — specifically, regarding the resources allocated that I promised to you, and the detail of the upcoming eastern continent tournament."

Damon moved to the chair without hesitation and settled into it, posture relaxed but attention fully sharpened behind his golden eyes.

Hector took the seat opposite him, leaning forward slightly. ƒгeewёbnovel.com

"The tournament is in seven months. Each sect sends a team of five cultivators under twenty-five, all at least at the Earth Spirit Realm."

"Then sect leader, What is the strongest disciple that participate in that event?" Damon asked.

"As the recorded highest cultivation is First Level of Heavenly Spirit Realm at 25, and it was 50 years ago. As for the last tournament the average are at Fifth to Seventh Level of Earth Spirit Realm, while the top sect genius at Eight Level of Earth Spirit Realm or Ninth Level of Earth Spirit Realm."

"I see... so my target is minimum at Eight Level of Earth Spirit Realm, right?"

"Yes, there already fixed member, Disciple Mio and Disciple Mia. Since they already at Mid Level of Earth Spirit Realm, I’m sure, they will reach Ninth Level of Earth Spirit Realm, by 7 months." The sect leader explain.

"And for you and Disciple Ariel, first you need, high grade of spiritual advancement pill for your spiritual roots, and more pills to accelerate both of your cultivation." Hector explained.

"But the sect currently don’t have it, so next week, you will go to the capital city auction house with my direct disciple and Lady Mei."
