Chapter 78: Sliding Through The Iron

Roderick, who saw Theodore just silent, frowned and patted Theodore’s back quite hard. He was surprised that Theodore was not previously excited to gather everyone, so why was he currently just silent like that.

"Why are you so quiet?" Roderick looked at Theodore in confusion. His face still remained flat despite being confused.

"I’m sorry. For a moment, I thought of something else." Theodore smiled sarcastically while rolling his eyes lazily.

To calm himself down, Theodore took a breath before explaining the plan he had thought of regarding the escape plan from inside this mall.

Theodore thought of using Cassian’s power to create a slide from the window he had broken to the tailgate of the truck they were carrying. Then, three soldiers and Winsor, who had telekinesis powers, were sent.

With Winsor in the back of their truck, Theodore and the others in the mall could roll the iron they had collected to the person already in the truck so Winsor could arrange it using his powers.

Once all the iron and metal had been safely placed in the truck, the rest of the people in the mall would slide into the truck one by one. Theodore deliberately sent three soldiers with Winsor so that they could keep Winsor safe down there.

Zombies were still roaming around the truck, so they still had to be careful. Theodore also needed the soldiers to clean up the zombies around the truck.

Three or four people could still be inside the truck, so they still had to clear the zombies around the truck.

Theodore explained his plan to everyone there, ensuring that Cassian and Winsor could do what he asked. Theodore had to confirm if they could do it as he expected.

"I could have done it. It’s just that my power isn’t that strong. If I were to make a launch path from this upstairs window to the truck, the iron wall below would disappear." Cassian explained how his powers worked.

"No problem. I’ll keep an eye on the movements of the zombies below. If they intend to go up, I’ll hold them off until you’re all on the truck," Theodore replied, not objecting to Cassian’s explanation.

"Then, does anyone have anything to add?" Theodore gave a chance to all of them who wanted to add something to his plan.

"Are three soldiers enough to go down?" Windsor, who had to go down first, asked about this for his safety.

"If it’s not enough, we can send more people later," Theodore replied casually. freewebnovёl.ƈom

Seeing that no one else was talking, Theodore asked Roderick to prepare everyone and to organize the soldiers who would go down with Winsor.

While Theodore chose to monitor the situation downstairs, he was curious about the state of the zombies downstairs.

Theodore must be ready to withstand these zombies later when the iron wall slowly disappears. It’s just that Theodore was surprised by the arrival of someone he didn’t expect.

"Excuse me, can I talk to you?" There was a man’s voice that sounded timid while talking to Theodore.

When Theodore turned around, he found it was Neville, the young man who had previously heard the voice that no one else had heard. Theodore needed clarification about why the young man had approached him like this.

"Why do you want to talk to me?" Though Theodore thought the one who tried to come to him was the woman named Chelsea.

"I was too rude to you earlier when you risked your life to save us. I want to apologize," Neville said as he bowed his head deeply. freewebnøvel.coɱ

Theodore realized that the young man did seem to defend Cassian earlier by saying that Cassian must have had a reason for doing what he did.

Theodore had not thought about the matter, but since the young man took the initiative to apologize, he would gladly accept it.

"You don’t have to think about it. It was also my fault for getting angry earlier," Theodore replied with a forced friendly smile while waving his hand lightly.

"Then can I accompany you here? You know I have a strong hearing; I can help you to monitor the movement of those zombies!" Neville immediately offered to help Theodore.

Theodore Remembered Geoffrey’s figure when he saw Neville, asking why his life was filled with these overzealous boys.

"As you wish." Theodore needed to be more active to deal with these over-energized people like Neville.

Fortunately, not long after that, Roderick called Theodore to start this self-rescue operation. Theodore returned to the place where he had broken the window earlier.

The people from Cassian’s previous group did not see Theodore’s action of breaking the iron trellis. They were actually looking at Theodore in awe as he walked towards them.

"So, who are you sending down to accompany Winsor?" Theodore was initially strange to find so many people looking at him strangely, but he ignored it and chose to ask Roderick a critical question.

"I’ll go down with the other two myself." Roderick decided to go down there to ensure the situation was safely under control.

"Then Cassian, you can start your part," Theodore said, nodding to Cassian, who was not far away.

Cassian nodded and began using his powers to create a slide connecting this window to the truck down below.

While Cassian was concentrating on doing his part, Theodore turned to Neville, who was beside him.

"Focus on listening to the movements of the zombies down there. Tell me if there are any suspicious movements," Theodore whispered to Neville.

"I’ll do well!" Neville nodded his head vigorously.

Theodore refocused himself to watch how Cassian used his power. Theodore realized that Cassian’s power was to manipulate metal; he could change the shape of the metal if he touched it at will.

Theodore slowly saw Cassian form a wide slide extending from the window towards the truck below.

"These power users are great," Theodore said seriously.

"Aren’t you a power user too?" Neville’s voice came from beside Theodore.

"No, I’m not a power user." Theodore shook his head.

Some people who heard Theodore’s words also silently glanced at him; they looked at him as if speaking and did not believe Theodore’s words.

Neville glared in shock when he heard Theodore’s answer; he felt the same way as the others. Ordinary people can’t have the strength of Theodore, who can even forcefully open the iron trellis attached to the window.

It’s just that when Neville was about to shout to refute Theodore’s words, he managed to stop himself. He didn’t want to provoke Theodore, so he better keep quiet.
