In an instant, Madeline ran towards the gate entrance; with a sword in her hand, she killed the remaining zombies that blocked her way.
As Theodore said, he used a spread arrow from the car to shoot at the zombies, which would most likely endanger the life of Madeline, who was running around the zombies.
That’s how they helped Madeline arrive safely in front of the gate entrance. Fortunately, the soldiers guarding the gate hurriedly gave Madeline a ladder so she could climb up the wall.
