Chapter 133: Who Are You?
No longer feeling the attack towards him, Theodore restrained himself and did not attack the woman again. Because the surroundings were dark, Theodore summoned a flashlight from within his sacred dimension.
Theodore turned on his flashlight and pointed it in the direction from which he heard the woman’s voice coming. As Theodore told the flashlight towards the woman, he could see the woman raising her hands to cover her eyes.
"Why are you still awake? Even though I’ve activated my skill," the woman muttered softly. She felt very threatened at the moment, significantly since Theodore had injured her.
"So it was you who put me to sleep. Tell me where your other friends are if you don’t want to die at my hands," Theodore said after he heard the woman’s words.
To make his threat feel more natural, Theodore also pointed his sword towards the woman’s neck; he would not hesitate to kill this woman if she didn’t want to listen to his words.
It could be seen that the woman was throwing a deadly glare at Theodore, but he couldn’t do anything either since he was at a disadvantage here.
Gritting her teeth, the woman was forced to tell her situation to Theodore, who did not flinch and continued to point his sword at her.
"I’m here alone," the woman finally said with a resigned sigh.
"Don’t lie. There’s no way anyone would be wandering around outside alone," Theodore retorted sharply. He wouldn’t believe this person so quickly.
"No wonder you don’t believe me. Yes, I was indeed with my group, and we intended to go to the base in this city. It’s just that they betrayed me. That’s why I desperately broke into this salon—re chasing me," the woman finally explained.
Actually, the woman did not intend to explain this matter to Theodore, but she was forced to explain it because Theodore would not believe her if she did not explain this.
"Damn it! Then you lured them here!" Theodore immediately cursed loudly. He didn’t expect that this woman would bring people after him.
Realizing that Theodore quickly turned off the flashlight he was holding and put it back into the sacred dimension. Because the woman was injured, Theodore lowered his guard.
Theodore chose to walk towards the salon’s entrance, where the barrier had shifted due to the woman’s actions.
Because if only with the barrier, it would be easy for other people to get in there. Theodore also took a long chain from his sacred dimension; without waiting long, he immediately used the chain to lock the door.
Theodore also fixed the barrier that had shifted to return to its original place. Layered security never hurts. After makin’ that, the door locked tightly. Theodore turned to the woman.
"This time, I’ll trust you; you’d better not bring any more trouble to m.," Theodore said sharply. He then walked away from there and went upstairs.
Theodore left the injured woman alone downstairs, but before he went any further, he stopped his steps.
"You better pull your skill. My friends are still asleep because of your skill," said Theodore, who remembered that Geoffrey and Roxanne were still asleep because of the woman’s skill.
"Then let me see them; I can’t do it without touching them," replied the woman indifferently. After all this time, Theodore was the one who needed her.
Hearing what the woman said made Theodore furious. Cinching his hand, he told the woman to follow him upstairs. The woman happily followed Theodore upstairs.
After they reached the top floor, Theodore took the woman to where Geoffrey and Roxanne were currently. As the woman looked at the two people sleeping peacefully, she could tell that they had been affected by her Deepest Sleep skill.
"I thought my powers were weakened by being injured; it turns out they’re still functioning properly," said the woman as she glanced at Theodore, who consciously didn’t look the least bit affected by her skill.
"Now wake them up!" Theodore looked at the woman sharply.
The woman only gave Theodore a glance, then slowly crouched down while holding her injured stomach. She approached Geoffrey and Roxanne’s bodies to remove the influence of her skill from the two of them.
But, just as the woman was about to touch Geoffrey and Roxanne’s bodies, she felt a cold metal on the side of her neck; from the tail of her eyes, she could see there was a long sword ready to behead her.
"If you intend to do any harm, I will not hesitate to kill you." Theodore gave the woman a clear warning.
But instead of being scared, the woman chuckled softly and ignored Theodore’s words; she closed her eyes and began to do what she had to do.
It wasn’t long before Theodore could see Geoffrey and Roxanne slowly opening their eyes as if they had just woken up from a deep sleep.
Theodore rushed over to them and shook their bodies to wake them up.
"Why are you shaking my body like that?" Geoffrey frowned while rubbing his sleepy eyes.
"Did something happen?" Roxanne herself sat up, but it was clear that she still needed to gather her strength to be fully conscious.
"Thank goodness you guys actually woke up," Theodore said, breathing a sigh of relief. He was pretty worried that the woman would trick him and do something dangerous to Roxanne and Geoffrey.
"What’s going on? Why do you say that?" Roxanne, who was slowly gaining consciousness, was confused by what Theodore said.
Theodore then turned to the suspicious woman he found downstairs and pointed at her, "She came to infiltrate and did something with her skills," Theodore explained in a sharp-sounding voice.
The woman raised her hands playfully while smirking; she was used to being treated like that, "I’ve already proven myself that I have no ill intentions towards you," explained the woman while leaning her back against the wall; her bleeding was really making her weak.
"Oh my, she’s hurt!" Roxanne was shocked when she saw blood flowing from the woman’s stomach. freewebnøvel.com
Roxanne walked over to the woman while grabbing her first aid kit. She told the woman to show her the wound.
"Your wound looks very deep; just hold on for a while. It’s going to hurt," said Roxanne, who immediately took care of the woman’s wound.
Theodore did not stop Roxanne and chose to believe what Roxanne did. He also chose to chat with Geoffrey, considering that the woman who came here with her group was chasing her. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
"You’ve awaked, right? Tonight, it looks like there will be people coming after that woman, including you. You should help me handle this matter," Theodore briefly explained their current situation.
"Why does our journey never go smoothly?" Geoffrey shook his head in disbelief as he heard Theodore’s explanation.
