Chapter 127: We Don’t Have Time!
"Why are you here? Aren’t you going up to the fourth floor soon?" Roxanne frowned when she saw Theodore behind her.
"Oh, about that, we’ll do it in 30 minutes. Cassian, let me rest for a while," Theodore replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"That’s it. If you want, you can come with us for a tour," Roxanne said, inviting Theodore to walk around with them.
Theodore happily nodded his head and followed them. After Theodore joined them, only Geoffrey was quiet, which made the atmosphere quiet.
"Geoffrey, are you tired? You’re not usually this quiet." Surprised by her younger brother’s movements, Roxanne finally decided to ask him.
Surprised that his sister suddenly called him, Geoffrey turned his head and smiled awkwardly at his sister. Honestly, Geoffrey was still thinking about the fact that he now knew Theodore’s power.
For some reason, Geoffrey was afraid that he would accidentally reveal Theodore’s secret that he now knew, especially since he liked to forget himself when talking with his older sister, so he was afraid that he would accidentally tell Roxanne about Theodore’s power.
"I’m just a little tired," Geoffrey replied, finally agreeing to his sister’s statement with an awkward laugh.
"Are you sure you can look for things with me?" Roxanne became quite worried about her younger brother’s condition.
"Yes, no problem." Geoffrey just laughed nervously and nodded his head.
On the other hand, Theodore felt that Geoffrey was a little more wary of him after he told him about his power; his current guess was that he was not too comfortable with him now.
Finally, the three of them began to wander around the area around the 3rd floor, looking for items that could still be used and that could be useful for them.
Theodore actually didn’t need anything. At most, he only took a few items to exchange with the military or keep them as exchange items in case he wanted to barter with others later.
After 30 minutes, Theodore had to prepare to attack the 4th floor of this building with half of Cassian’s group. However, before leaving, Theodore said something to Roxanne and Geoffrey.
"Just collect everything you want before I’ll take care of it later. Geoffrey, explain my secret to your sister," Theodore said with a grin and then walked away.
Geoffrey, still shocked, quickly shouted, "Are you sure this is okay?" Geoffrey honestly couldn’t believe that Theodore also let Roxanne know his secret.
"I already permitted you to say it," Theodore replied from afar before disappearing into the darkness.
Theodore immediately walked towards the elevator leading to the fourth floor. He saw several people already gathered there, and he thought Cassian had only sent four people to join him in attacking the fourth floor.
"Has everyone gathered?" When he got there, Theodore immediately looked at the people there.
"Yes, we will accompany you to attack the upper floors," answered one of the four. frёeωebɳovel.com
"Then, where is Cassian? He didn’t come here?" Theodore looked around but did not find Cassian.
"The chief immediately made a device to send the goods to the truck. He said they’ll go straight upstairs after we’re done. So we can leave this building tomorrow."
"Alright, then we’ll go upstairs now." Theodore immediately led the others to the 4th floor.
From what Theodore realized, the more they went up the floors, the fewer zombies gathered. However, the number of zombies with power was increasing, like the one Theodore and the others were currently encountering.
Although the hordes of zombies attacking them were not as many as those on the ground floor, they saw many zombies with powers there.
Theodore became very busy because he had to kill many powerful zombies. Fortunately, he had enough people to help him so they could hold the zombies while he killed one of them.
Without a break, they killed zombies and cleared the floor of zombies so that the rest of the members could go up and start looting.
. . .
It took them all day to clear out all the items on the first four floors of the building. Right now, Theodore only needed to put Geoffrey and Roxanne’s belongings in, after which they could go downstairs and leave the building.
After Theodore had previously given Geoffrey permission to reveal his power to Roxanne, he no longer needed to hide his power from the two of them.
Now accompanied by the two people, Theodore returned to the third floor to pick up the items that they had collected earlier.
"I still can’t believe you have such miraculous powers," Roxanne said in a low voice. She didn’t want others to hear her words.
"It’s normal. With this power, I can help you guys," Theodore replied, chuckling softly.
"But honestly, your power is really great" This time, Geoffrey was functioning as usual; he raised both thumbs at Theodore.
"Now you’re saying that to me," Theodore replied, glaring at Geoffrey.
Geoffrey just grinned and continued his steps to lead Theodore to where he was gathering the items they would carry.
The items Geoffrey collected on the floor were a little because some of them were taken by Cassian’s group. They didn’t mind that since they only needed a few things here.
While there were not many people around, Theodore immediately put all the items into his sacred dimension, which only took about five minutes.
"Should we go upstairs to help?" Since their business was done, Geoffrey thought they should go to the 4th floor to help Cassian and the others.
"No need to go straight to the ground floor." Theodore shook his head and stepped down.
Roxanne and Geoffrey quickly followed Theodore’s lead. If Theodore said no, they would have no reason to help Cassian and the others.
They went down to the ground floor and chatted casually, wondering what would change at the base when they returned. Theodore intended to return to the base soon.
However, after this building, Cassian and his group would still visit other places because the military had assigned them to them.
Given that Theodore was not part of it, he thought of not going with them to that place. Theodore intended to discuss this with Roxanne and Geoffrey; he would talk to Cassian about it if the two did not intend to go.
