Chapter 111: It’s Your Turn
When he wanted to return to the ground floor, Theodore killed three zombies with powers. They all had the same power as the ones he had killed before, namely poisonous smoke.
After ensuring there were no more zombies with powers on the first floor, Theodore decided to return to the ground floor and take turns with Cassian to clean up the remaining zombies on the first floor.
"I finally have some time alone. I think I should go into the sacred dimension and talk to the system there." Theodore had already decided to rest in the sacred dimension when the others went to the first floor to exterminate the zombies.
Used to jumping over the protective wall, Theodore easily reached the other side of the wall. He quickly walked down the elevator to return to the others.
At the bottom of the elevator, Theodore saw Cassian waiting for him there; he slowly approached him.
"I’ve finished hunting down zombies with powers. Four zombies have powers, so you no longer have to worry." Theodore explained the current situation on the first floor.
"Thank goodness you’re okay. I was a little worried when you didn’t come back," Cassian replied, finally breathing a sigh of relief when he saw Theodore coming down from upstairs.
"It took a while because those zombies are pretty good at hiding themselves," Theodore explained why he was gone for so long.
"Then we’ll go upstairs and slaughter them; you rest here. I’m sure you’re very tired after hunting them down," Cassian said as he patted Theodore’s shoulder lightly.
"Oh, yes. Where are my friends?" Theodore didn’t see Roxanne and Geoffrey. He wanted to say something before they followed the others to the first floor.
"They’re with Chelsea and Neville." Cassian also pointed towards his right side, where the people he mentioned were.
"I’ll meet them first. Please take care of them when they go upstairs with you later," Theodore said, then waltzed off to meet his friends.
They were near the information desk in the lobby when Theodore walked towards them. Geoffrey called out excitedly.
"Brother Theo! You’re finally back, too. Are you alright?" Geoffrey looked much better and quickly pulled Theodore to sit with them.
"Those zombies won’t be able to hurt me. How are you? Are you still claustrophobic?" From outside, Theodore could see that Geoffrey and Roxanne’s condition was much better than before, and he returned to the first floor.
"No wonder Theo said that," Geoffrey said with a happy laugh. You don’t have to worry about me, brother; I am fine," Geoffrey continued as he turned to Roxanne, sitting beside him.
"Thanks to you, we’re fine. I heard you won’t be coming to the first floor with us anymore?" Roxanne had already heard from Chelsea that Theodore would not go upstairs with them.
"That’s right. Cassian will take over while you guys do the zombie cleanup on the first floor. I’ll rest here." Theodore nodded his head in agreement with Roxanne’s words.
"Have you really finished off the zombies with powers?" This time, Chelsea spoke up.
"Yes, I found four zombies with powers. So the situation above is safe; you just need to kill the ordinary zombies there," said Theodore, explaining the situation on the first floor.
"Wow, there are a lot of zombies with powers!" Geoffrey was quite surprised to hear Theodore had found four zombies with powers.
"No wonder the poisonous smoke was so thick before," Roxanne nodded her head, understanding why so many were exposed to the poison when they attacked the first floor earlier.
Theodore also nodded his head in agreement. He did not expect more than one zombie with power on the first floor.
While they were talking, Cassian’s voice called the others to gather. Theodore thought they were about to leave to attack the zombies on the first floor.
Before Roxanne and Geoffrey joined the gathering, Theodore stopped them to say something to them.
"You better follow Chelsea when you go upstairs later; she will take care of you. I hope your assault will go smoothly," Theodore told them to follow Chelsea during the assault to the first floor.
"Alright, I’ll keep your words in mind," Roxanne replied while nodding.
Geoffrey smiled and nodded his head. He also waved his hand at Theodore while walking away to gather with the others. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
Because Theodore did not participate in the attack, he chose not to gather with the others; he only watched them from behind.
Sure enough, after that, Cassian took their group to the first floor. Theodore saw their departure only from behind.
Theodore finally had time alone after everyone had gone to the first floor. After ensuring he was alone there, he immediately closed his eyes to enter his sacred dimension.
A soothing breeze caressed his face. When he felt that peaceful sensation, Theodore knew that he was already in the sacred dimension.
"It feels like a long time since I entered this place," said Theodore, stretching his stiff and tired body.
Theodore got up from his position and started walking towards his field. But this time, Theodore did not intend to take care of his field; he turned his steps towards the bamboo forest beside his field.
Theodore’s body was already filthy after he had killed many zombies before; he also felt full of sweat, and black blood splashed onto his body when he slashed the heads of the zombies.
Theodore entered the sacred dimension to bathe in the pure water river behind his bamboo forest.
When Theodore saw the river of pure water, a big smile appeared on his face. He was very uncomfortable with his body, which felt very sticky.
Theodore immediately removed all his clothes and threw himself into the river of pure water.
As the dirt on his body slowly began to fall off, Theodore finally decided to soak in the pure river water.
"Ahh, how refreshing! I would have come here sooner," Theodore said as he leaned against the low stone wall at the edge of the pure water river.
[The host’s fatigue level will decrease after soaking in the river. The system recommends the host to rest there]
"Oh, yes. I almost forgot about your system!" If the system had not made a sound, Theodore would have forgotten that he wanted to ask the system something.
"I wanted to ask you about something. Why can’t my body be exposed to poison?" Theodore was curious about this.
The problem was that the system never told him about this. Theodore only learns about this when exposed to poison from the zombie with that power.
If the system had not helped, Theodore was sure their group would have died by now.
