Chapter 1: The World Is Cruel

The world is cruel.

Everyone has their own sob story.

Victims of wars.

People suffering from incurable diseases.

Less fortunate who couldn’t feed their children.

I mean if you were to walk along the street of a busy city right now you’d find a dozen homeless people easily.

They came from different backgrounds with different

experiences but they all ended up the same way.

But the truth of the matter was what made the world cruel. freewebnσvel.cѳm

It was that most people these days were immune to the suffering of others.

The government or big corporations didn’t care about those affected by their greed. People drove by the homeless almost every day to work and yet never once thought to help, Instead they lock their doors when one gets too close. Insurance companies rejected the claims of those who needed help because they didn’t think their life was valuable enough compared to their precious money.

What a shitty world.

As for me.

I wouldn’t say I’m a bad person but at the same time I wouldn’t say I’m a good person either.

I’d given money to a few homeless people before.

But I’ve also stolen from the convenient store near my apartment a couple times.

I became friends with a kid who was getting bullied in elementary school.

But i also used to make fun of another kid because I thought it would help me fit in.

I was full of contradictions but I guess everyone my age was.

I was grateful for the life I had.

I knew I had it much better than most of the population, I had food on table everyday and a warm bed to sleep in at night.

But that didn’t mean that I didn’t have my own sob story just like everyone else.

A mother who ran off when I was just a child.

A father who resented his children and rarely returned home.

Raised by my elder sister and the money our father sent so that he didn’t have to deal with us.

It wasn’t much but it was my story.

At the end of the day I couldn’t complain about my life.

But there was something that would make others look differently at me.

It was something I’ve never once spoken out loud.

My dirtiest secret.

The one thing I would never tell anyone about.

That I liked NTR.
