A brutal dark fantasy RPG he used to play in his college years, infamous for its punishing difficulty and branching storyline with multiple playable protagonists across the shattered continent of Aetheris.

The game was already hard enough with its multiple playable characters.

But on the game's third anniversary, the developers decided to release a free DLC as a gift to the community.

And a middle finger to anyone who claimed the game wasn't hard enough.

They introduced a bonus protagonist with the tagline:

[Some fates are not meant to be survived]

A joke character, Mikael Morwell.

The worst playable character in the entire game.

A route so brutally designed that the forums turned him into a meme and most players never even bothered finishing his story.

And that's not even the worst part?

Zen never played his route.

The DLC had dropped after he graduated, and he had already buried himself in overtime shifts and deadlines.

He never got the chance to play DLC.
