Chapter 389: Chapter 389: Coming in the Name of Justice

Unable to find anyone on the first floor, the group went upstairs together.

Claire Sinclair followed behind them, not saying a word the entire time.

When Tristan Tanner reached the second floor, he happened to see a young man sitting at a computer in the study, cursing while playing a game: "Damn it, you motherf... @#@¥..."

Tristan Tanner gestured to his subordinates to apprehend him. Several men swarmed forward and instantly pinned the young man to the floor.

"Aah! What are you doing? Let me go! Do you know who I am? Let go of me!"

"Which precinct are you from? I’m going to sue you for illegal entry!"

"Let me go, now!"

Although the young man had just turned eighteen, he was surprisingly strong. It took several men pressing down on him forcefully to get him under control.

Tristan Tanner walked up to the young man and said sternly, "Deacon Collier, do you know why I’m arresting you?"

"I don’t know! Let me go, or my dad will make you pay!" Deacon Collier showed no signs of remorse, and his struggles only grew more frantic.

A smirk played on Tristan Tanner’s lips. "I don’t care who your father is. You’re coming with us to the station. Take him away!"

Just as he finished speaking, a deep voice boomed from behind them. "Who dares take him away!"

The old man’s voice had barely faded when Claire Sinclair silently flashed Adrian Quincy’s ID card and said, as a reminder, "Old Mr. Collier, I wonder if *this* person dares to take him away?"

When Hector Collier saw the photo on the ID card, his eyes widened. "You were sent by Young Master Quincy?"

Claire Sinclair offered a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. "We are here in the name of justice. If your grandson has committed no crime, he will be back soon. Please cooperate with the officers, Old Mr. Collier."

Hector Collier had navigated the worlds of politics and business for many years and could say he had never feared anyone. But the name Adrian Quincy was a nightmare for every official. To defy that name was to openly challenge the prestige of the entire Quincy Manor, and no one who had ever done so had met a good end.

In the end, Hector Collier caved. He changed his tune and said to his grandson, "Deacon, it’s alright. Just go with them for now. Grandpa will come get you and bring you home soon."

"Grandpa, I don’t want to go with them!" Deacon Collier was still fiercely resistant.

Before Hector Collier could reply, Tristan Tanner cut in, "It’s not a matter of whether you want to or not. Take him away!"

And just like that, Deacon Collier was handcuffed by the police and led away.

Watching his grandson being treated so disrespectfully, Hector Collier clenched his fists, a storm of rage brewing within him.

’That upstart named Tanner, I’ll remember him. And that meddlesome woman, Claire Sinclair. I will make these newcomers who don’t know their place pay the price!’

After leaving the Collier residence, Deacon Collier was put into one car, while Claire Sinclair and Tristan Tanner got into another.

Over the course of the day, the group went to several other locations. With the cooperation of other teams, they arrested a total of five suspects, but a few fish still slipped through the net.

When the suspects were gathered at the police station, they finally began to realize why they had been arrested. A few of them couldn’t help but start crying, while others remained silent with long faces. Only Deacon Collier remained defiant, firmly believing his grandfather would get him out.

Claire Sinclair looked at the young people in the temporary holding cell. ’Deacon Collier is without a doubt the youngest among them. At their age, ordinary kids are in school. But these few, instead of learning anything good, just had to go down the wrong path. Hopefully, this will teach them a lesson, and they can turn over a new leaf when they get out.’

However...

Claire Sinclair scanned the group several times but didn’t see any women among those arrested.

’Why haven’t they arrested Yvonne Judd’s stepsister yet?’
