Chapter 5: Building Home.

"Yes, it’d be nice to make a house in here, and now I have to start working." A small sigh left through his mouth as he took another look across the area.

The sun had started to set slowly, and its rays had finally turned orange. The shadows had started to take over the surroundings.

Kael’s gaze turned towards the kid, and he noticed that Sylas had closed his eyes.

"I guess he’s sleepy. Well, he just ate, so that’s usual kid behavior."

Kael took his shirt off and kept it on the ground. He leaned in lightly and placed Sylas over the shirt.

The athletic, but buffed muscles of his looked nice in the broad, shiny light of the moon.

Broad muscles flexed beneath the moon’s sheen, each line of his body sharpened by the silver glow.

"It’s now time to start building the house." He muttered.

He made his way towards the trees that he had cut a while ago. His mana left through his hand and was directed towards the trees.

The mana took the shape of ropes, and there were multiple of them. The ropes wrapped themselves around the wood.

Kael lifted one of his fingers, and the wood followed behind his lead. "Where should I make a home?"

His gaze turned towards his surroundings, then he closed his eyes.

Sensing the surroundings, trying to find the perfect spot. After a while, he noticed a spot that was a few meters away from the lake and the city.

He opened his eyes and saw that there were a lot of trees in there. He lifted his other hand and swung it towards the trees.

All of them got instantly chopped into small pieces of wood, which were ready to be used in the process of making his new home.

He then directed his finger, which was controlling a large group of wood, towards the area that he had just cleared. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

And then he swung it downwards, and then in all four directions, and the wood followed his lead. The wood had started getting stacked one over the other, and some were laying on the ground, and walls had started to get built.

Soon after, the structure of the house was finally built. "These many rooms would suffice the need for Sylas."

He studied the ground, sketching the framework of the house he needed. Mana carved the lines deep, shaping a rough design that grew into the silhouette of a castle.

The moment he drew the silhouette of the castle, he directed his mana towards it. The mana of his started to swirl around the silhouette, and it continued to do so for a while.

And then, the mana travelled towards the wood and started building the house by itself according to the silhouette.

"It will finish by tomorrow, and the traces of my mana will gather the desired materials by itself."

His gaze shifted towards where Sylas was sleeping soundlessly. "I should take a nice sleep myself for once."

He sat next to a tree, back resting against its stem. His head rested on the tree lightly, as he shut his eyes.

The time had started to pass quickly. A fresh morning breeze had started to swirl around the surroundings, and shiny rays of the sun covered the entire ground.

Kael’s eyes twitched as he let a small yawn escape through his mouth. "The time passed a little sooner than I anticipated it would."

His gaze shifted toward the place where he had been trying to build a home. To his surprise, a massive, fully furnished castle now stood before him.

The castle looked no less magnificent than the residence of a noble. At the front stood a huge wooden-and-stone gate, while towering fences surrounded the area. The beauty of the structure was almost unreal, far too breathtaking to ignore.

He stood right in front of the newly built castle, looking at it. "It’s nice, better than what I expected it to be."

But before he could continue thinking about anything else, a soothing voice fell into his ears.

"Mister,"

His head turned backwards, his gaze fell on Sylas, who was walking towards him slowly. Sylas was rubbing his eyes and seemed to be half asleep.

Sylas spread both of his hands toward Kael, clearly indicating that he wanted to be lifted into his arms.

Kael took a few steps closer to Sylas as he picked him up. His arms wrapped around Sylas’s body, embracing him in his grasp. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

"Good morning, Sylas," Kael said, as a smile tugged on his lips.

Sylas’s face automatically lit up; it felt as if he was excited to be with Kael. "Good morning, mister."

His eyes turned towards the castle, and his mouth opened. The state of confusion and shock had taken over Sylas’s body.

"M-Mister... it wasn’t here yesterday, right?" Sylas’s voice stuttered as a gloomy expression appeared on his face.

"No, it surely was there yesterday too," Kael said as he shook his head lightly.

"No, mister... it wasn’t there, I know it well."

"It definitely was there, maybe you saw it wrong because it was night yesterday."

Sylas didn’t say anything because he wasn’t able to fathom anything. But he broke the silence a while later. "As you say, mister..." Sylas said, as an adorable smile appeared on his face again.

Kael noticed that Sylas had agreed to his false words, and the innocent look on his face made something inside Kael stir up a bit. "This kid, and his expressions, are making me feel something, and I have never felt it before."

He patted the head of Sylas slowly, trying to make it affectionate towards him. "Yeah, it’s our new home from now on, so use it however you like, okay?"
