Chapter 38: Chapter 38: The Unexpected Appearance of Ryutaro’s Father

After Ryutaro talked about his father, who resided in his mind, suddenly, his father appeared in front of them.

"Well then, can I call you ’Dad’ just like Ryutaro does?" Aurelia asked.

After observing Aurelia’s behavior, Ryutaro’s father turned his attention to Grace.

After speaking to Grace, Ryutaro’s father approached Alice.

"And you, who are you?" he asked.

"I am Alice de Rossete, your Majesty," Alice said.

Upon hearing Alice call him "Your Majesty," Ryutaro’s father laughed.

"Haha, don’t call me that. You are already my son’s wife, so you can call me ’Dad’ if you want," Ryutaro’s father said.

"Oh, I see. I’ll keep that in mind," Alice replied.

After their conversation, Ryutaro’s father paused, thinking about the surname "Rossete" that Alice carried.

"Rossete, huh? Did Sebastian change his last name to Rossete?" Ryutaro’s father mused.

"Um, if I may ask, who is Sebastian?" Alice asked.

"Sebastian was my servant, whom I appointed as the next king just before I went to war with Xerathos," Ryutaro’s father explained.

"So, in other words, I’m a descendant of your servant?" Alice asked.

"Yes, but don’t be worried. Even though you have servant blood, you are now a princess of the kingdom and also the daughter-in-law of the first king," Ryutaro’s father reassured her.

"Alright then, Dad," Alice said.

After speaking with Alice, Ryutaro’s father turned to the last woman present, Miyuki.

"By the way, who are you?" he asked.

"My name is Miyuki, and I was a friend of Ryutaro’s when he was bullied in the previous world," Miyuki replied.

Ryutaro’s father bowed his head in gratitude toward Miyuki.

"I see. In that case, I thank you very much for being my son’s friend and for protecting him," Ryutaro’s father said.

"You don’t have to. It’s only right that I protect him since he also protects me," Miyuki replied.

"No, as a parent, I must truly thank you. As his father, I wasn’t there for him," Ryutaro’s father said.

As he bowed his head, Ryutaro walked over to him.

"Enough, Dad. You’re making everyone awkward. Let’s move on now that you’re here," Ryutaro said.

"Yeah, we’re also happy to see that you have such a son like Ryutaro," Grace added.

Everyone nodded in agreement with Grace’s words.

"Alright then, you truly are good women. And you, my son, don’t waste the kindness of your wives," Ryutaro’s father said.

"Of course, I won’t waste their kindness, and I’ll make sure they never regret choosing me," Ryutaro promised.

"Good, then," Ryutaro’s father said.

After giving Ryutaro the advice to take care of all his wives, Ryutaro’s father slowly disappeared and returned to Ryutaro’s mind.

Just before he vanished, Aurelia quickly told Ryutaro’s father something.

"By the way, Ryutaro has one more wife, but she couldn’t join because she has to take care of Alice’s mother," Aurelia said.

"I see. I’ll appear again when I meet the wife who’s not here," Ryutaro’s father said before disappearing.

After Ryutaro’s father disappeared, Ryutaro invited everyone to head to the carriage to return home.

"Let’s go home then," Ryutaro said.

"Alright, I’m really tired of being here," Grace said.

"Yeah, me too," Aurelia agreed.

The two of them nodded, signaling that they agreed with Grace and Aurelia’s words.

Shortly afterward, they arrived at the carriage, and Alice was shocked to see her father’s lifeless body lying on the ground.

Alice ran to her father’s body and immediately began to cry, unable to believe what she was seeing.

"Dad, why did this happen? Please, wake up, Dad!" Alice cried, overwhelmed with grief.

Grace, Aurelia, and Miyuki were shocked to see Alice’s father in such a state.

"How could this happen? Why is this happening now?" Miyuki said, confused.

"Yeah, how could this be?" Aurelia said, equally stunned.

Grace remained silent, unable to believe what she was seeing.

Ryutaro quickly approached Alice and tried to comfort her.

"Calm down, Alice," Ryutaro said softly.

Hearing Ryutaro’s words, Alice snapped at him without realizing it.

"Do you think I can calm down seeing my father suddenly dead like this?" Alice yelled.

Ryutaro, hearing her outburst, embraced her in an attempt to calm her down.

"I’m sorry. You can yell at me if it helps you calm down," Ryutaro said.

After a while, Alice, now calmer, apologized for yelling at Ryutaro.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to shout at you," Alice said.

"It’s okay. Are you calm now?" Ryutaro asked.

"I am. Thank you, everyone," Alice said, finally at peace.

After their conversation, Ryutaro’s father spoke to Ryutaro, mentioning something unusual about his body and asked him to touch it.

"Hmm, son, I feel something strange. Could you touch my body?" Ryutaro’s father said.

"Alright, I’ll touch it," Ryutaro said.

Ryutaro moved to touch Alice’s father’s body, and when he did, Ryutaro’s father was shocked.
