Chapter 35: Chapter 35: The Battle at Celestia

After the three of them arrived at the location of Miyuki and Alice’s father, they were shocked to find them surrounded by Celestia’s royal army.

"Hoo, so you dared to come here, huh?" said King Albert.

Alice stepped forward to face them.

"What are you doing here?" Alice asked.

"There it is, Father, I told you she had escaped," Lucien said.

"Oh, so you dared to run away from my son, huh?" King Albert said.

"Maybe I was scared back then, but now with Ryutaro by my side, I’m not afraid of you anymore," Alice replied.

Hearing Alice’s words, Grace and Aurelia, who were standing nearby, praised Alice.

"Wow, what a great line, I like it," Grace said.

"Yeah, I didn’t expect you to say something like that," Aurelia added.

"Hehe, thanks for the compliment," Alice said.

"So you’re brave now, huh? Do you not see that your father is surrounded by our forces?" King Albert said.

"That’s right. Maybe if you come here and kneel at my feet because you’ve insulted me, I might forget about this matter," he added.

"Do you think that with me here, your army can do whatever they want to them?" Grace said.

Seeing Grace step up to respond to his son, King Albert questioned her identity, as he had heard reports about her but had never seen her in person.

"And who are you? Why are you interfering with us?" King Albert asked.

"Ugh, you’ve already interfered with my husband, but you don’t even recognize me?" Grace said.

At that moment, King Albert realized something.

"Your husband? Could it be that you’re Grace, the Demon Queen sealed for 500 years in the Black Forest?" King Albert asked.

"That’s right. It seems you’re smarter than I thought, considering you’re a lowly king," Grace replied.

King Albert then noticed Aurelia standing next to Alice.

"And you, are you the Dragon Queen, Aurelia Snowmourne, the one being chased by Ashen Fang?" King Albert asked.

"Hehe, so you recognize me, huh? Hahaha, yes, I am Aurelia Snowmourne, the strongest Dragon Queen," Aurelia said.

Hearing Aurelia’s boastful words, Grace facepalmed, while King Albert instantly felt fear. Meanwhile, Lucien screamed in frustration.

"Why?! Why would women like you be with such a lowly man like him? You should be with me, the heir of Celestia’s kingdom!" Lucien shouted.

After hearing such an insult, Grace and Aurelia immediately grew angry and prepared to unleash their magic to eliminate him. Meanwhile, Alice, Miyuki, and Alice’s father just watched them getting angry.

King Albert, who had been scared, suddenly panicked when he realized the magic the women were about to unleash. In a rush, he slapped his son.

Slap!

Lucien, who had just been slapped by his father, immediately asked, "(Holding his cheek) Father, why did you slap me? I was just speaking the truth."

King Albert scolded his son immediately.

"Fool, why would you say something like that to them? It only provokes their anger!" King Albert shouted.

Lucien, however, argued back.

"So what? We have hundreds of elite soldiers, plus assassins who are ready to move on your command," Lucien said.

Grace and Aurelia immediately released chilling, yet terrifying sounds. fгeewebnovёl.com

"Oh, so you think that with hundreds of elite soldiers and assassins, you can stop our magic?" Grace said.

"You’re just pawns in front of us, and only Ryutaro can subdue us," Aurelia said.

Before unleashing their magic, Grace instructed Miyuki and Alice’s father to come closer to her so they wouldn’t be affected by her spell.

"You two, come here so you won’t be affected by my magic," Grace said.

"Alright, Your Majesty," Miyuki said.

"Y-yes," Alice’s father said.

They quickly approached Grace for protection.

As soon as Miyuki and Alice’s father were near Grace, her gaze shifted to Lucien and King Albert.

"Do you two understand your mistakes?" Grace asked.

"I... I know, I should have taught my son better," King Albert replied.

"Good, and you, Lucien, do you know where you went wrong?" Grace asked.

Despite the threats from Grace and Aurelia, Lucien remained stubborn.

"What’s wrong with that? I was just stating a fact. He’s beneath me, and you should be licking my feet right now," Lucien said.

"Idiot, what are you saying? Apologize to them right now!" King Albert shouted.

Before Lucien could apologize, Aurelia immediately shot an ice orb next to him as a warning.

"Say that again," Aurelia threatened.

Lucien immediately turned pale from Aurelia’s threat and quickly apologized.

"Forgive me, I was wrong. I promise I won’t insult him again," Lucien said.

Hearing Lucien’s apology, Grace and Aurelia calmed down, and they withdrew the magic they were about to unleash.

"Good, now you know your place. I will forgive you this time, but if you insult him again, you know what will happen to you," Grace said.

"Yes, yes, we know," they both replied.

After calming their anger, Grace and Aurelia turned and left, leaving King Albert and Lucien alone.

As they were leaving the wedding venue, Alice’s father asked Grace a question.

"By the way, are you just letting them go? They’ll surely send more people to disturb Ryutaro," Alice’s father said.

"That’s true. He even dared to twist the truth about Ryutaro," Miyuki added.

"Don’t worry, they’re just pawns. If they try anything again, we can easily defeat them," Grace said.

"Exactly, we’re not ordinary beings. We can defeat them with one move," Aurelia added. frёewebηovel.cѳm

"I see. Well, I’m relieved. By the way, where’s Ryutaro?" Miyuki asked.

Alice immediately answered Miyuki’s question.

"He’s fighting Shohei," Alice said.

"What? Why is Shohei here? And why is he fighting Ryutaro? Didn’t Ryutaro already defeat him in the training room that day?" Miyuki asked.

"That’s because Shohei isn’t the Shohei you knew, Miyuki. He’s now possessed by the power of the Dark God Xerathos," Aurelia explained.

"Xerathos? Isn’t that the god who caused Ryutaro’s father, the world’s first hero, to die, while his mother, the Vampire Queen, was imprisoned in Nocthollow Vale?" Miyuki asked.

"That’s right. It’s said he obtained the power of the god, but he never said where he got it," Grace replied.

"But isn’t it dangerous to let Ryutaro fight alone? We don’t even know the true power of the Dark God Xerathos," Miyuki said.

"At first, we wanted to help, but he said he would fight Shohei alone because he’s been targeted by him for so long," Grace explained.

"Exactly. Even though I’m a bit upset with him, being a burden to him would just put him in more danger," Aurelia added.

"You’re right. We can only pray for the best for him," Miyuki said.

Shortly after, they arrived at the carriage they used to travel to the Celestia Kingdom.

Suddenly, just as they were about to board the carriage, a loud explosion was heard from the direction of Ryutaro’s battle.

"What was that? That’s from the direction Ryutaro is fighting!" Aurelia said.

"Why was the explosion so strong? What happened to him?" Grace asked.

Seeing the worry in Ryutaro’s women, Alice’s father allowed them to go while he waited alone in the carriage.

"Go and help him. I know you’re worried," Alice’s father said.

"But Father, you’ll be alone here. I’m afraid something will happen to you, and we’re still in enemy territory," Alice said.

"Don’t worry. Have you forgotten that I was once the strongest fighter?" Alice’s father said.

"Alright, if something happens to you, let me know right away," Alice said.

"Alright," Alice’s father replied.

They quickly headed toward Ryutaro and Shohei’s battle, unaware that some people were already targeting the carriage where Alice’s father was sitting.

What will happen to Alice’s father? What caused the explosion during Ryutaro’s battle? And how will Ryutaro fare after his fight with Shohei? Stay tuned for Chapter 36!
