Chapter 32: Chapter 32: The Wedding Rescue

The next day, Ryutaro and the others were preparing to attend the wedding to rescue Alice. However, before they left:

Just then, Lucien entered the room, holding a slave with him.

"Oh, you’ve been dressed so beautifully, my future bride. You truly deserve to be by my side," Lucien said.

"Thank you for your kind words, Prince," Alice replied.

"Why do you look so sad, Alice? You should be happy to be joining my kingdom," Lucien said.

"Oh, it’s not sadness, Prince. I was just too excited last night, so I couldn’t sleep," Alice explained.

"I see. Take care of yourself. I don’t want you collapsing at our wedding ceremony," Lucien cautioned.

"Yes, Prince," Alice replied.

Lucien left the room, and before he exited, the slave spoke to Alice in a hushed voice.

"Don’t worry, the one you love will come to save you," the slave whispered.

Alice, confused, asked the slave what he meant.

"What do you mean?" Alice asked.

Before the slave could respond, Lucien approached him, striking him harshly.

"What did you say, you worthless slave?" Lucien demanded.

"No, Master, it’s nothing," the slave stammered.

"Remember, if you try anything funny, I’ll make you suffer for a week," Lucien threatened.

"Yes, Master. I won’t do anything," the slave replied.

With that, they both left Alice’s room.

"What did he mean by that?" Alice muttered to herself, thinking about the slave’s words.

Meanwhile, on the way to the Celestia Kingdom, Grace and the others were still confused about where Ryutaro had obtained the earpiece.

"Yeah, isn’t this device only found in your world?" Aurelia asked.

"That’s true. This device only exists in our world, and I’m just as confused as you about how Ryutaro got it," Miyuki admitted.
