Chapter 19: PRIMAL SWORD MANUAL (SSS+)
"Alright, let’s do it."
I tightened my grip on the sword and rushed forward while my wife’s sewing needles followed behind me.
As soon as I reached a goblin, I brought my sword down toward its head, just as I had done before. My swordsmanship still lacked flexibility, but I didn’t hesitate.
Just before the blade could land the target, two sewing needles shot toward it and struck its edge, slightly diverting its trajectory and sending sparks flying.
My slash seemed to be boosted by some kind of power, moving faster than ever and cutting the goblin in half with a single blow.
My wife yelled up.
"Remember that feeling!"
I nodded, closing my eyes, imagining the feeling of that perfect strike I had just performed. I opened my eyes, rushed toward another target, and made the familiar slash.
The goblin raised its rusted sword to block my blow. But as soon as our blades collided, mine shattered its defensive stance with ease. The next second, my sword pierced deep into the goblin’s skull, a painful scream ringing out before it finally died.

A faint smile spread across my face at that moment. I intended to use another sword technique, but my wife’s voice drifted over to me.
"H-Henry... I ran out of sewing needles and mana."
I blinked for a moment, then turned back to my wife, who was once again panting for breath. I walked over and gently caressed her back, then said in a neutral voice.
"Time to go home."

I gazed at the virtual screen in front of my eyes while sitting cross-legged on a lounge chair on the rooftop, enjoying the warm afternoon light.
My wife was bathing downstairs with Clara’s support after clearing the [F] gate with me three hours earlier.
Because my wife’s mana core was still weak, I couldn’t leave her inside the gate any longer. Moreover, I could not protect her if I went deeper into the gate to kill the monsters, so my wife and I had moved to a safe place while waiting for the other hunters to defeat the boss.
Once the boss was defeated, the exit would open for us.
"Our development is quite good, but it’s not enough."
We only had a few days left before the academy examination began. All of the candidates were at least [F] rank.
For sure, we were the weakest among them.
It was easy to explain.
Old Henry had wasted his life in his bedroom for about a year ever since he awakened mana core. Tsk, in fact, even if he had gone to the gate to cultivate, it would still have been useless with his [F–] rank potential.
In short, he was at least one year behind others his age. His generation was now second-year students in Dawanreach Academy.
Meanwhile, my wife’s mana core had been completely shattered before, and all her accumulated mana had run out. So being able to cultivate again was nothing short of a miracle. Requiring her to restore [D–] rank again was too much.
At some point, a sound rang out.
Ting!
Ting!
[Congratulations! Your wife is becoming more and more attached to her life. In addition, she is starting to show signs of developing feelings for you.]
[Support Level: High]
[The Gods knew that you never took the initiative to do it, so they gave you a bit of motivation.]
[Calculating rewards...]
Items:
– Galaxy Blanket: When a couple shares this blanket, mana will automatically be absorbed into both of their bodies.
– Spiritual Water Wine Flask: Restores a shattered mana core.
I blinked for a moment before sighing.
"Hope that blanket will be good."
An hour later, I returned to my room so she could drink the [Spiritual Water Wine Flask]. This time, she drank it without hesitation.
Her mana had recovered by around 20%. At least tomorrow, we could kill more monsters in the [F]-rank gate.
I took the Galaxy Blanket out of my storage ring before laying it out on the bed.
"Sleep."
My wife stared at me with a dumbfounded expression.
"Are you kidding me? It’s only 9 p.m."
I replied,
"I want to test a few things."
I went to bed and pulled my wife into my embrace, then covered us with the blanket.
My wife stared at me with an angry, blushing expression, yet offered no resistance. I could feel her heartbeat racing wildly in my arms.
However, just a few minutes later, her expression changed as she noticed something different.
"I can feel my mana increasing. Is this blanket some kind of artifact that helps awakeners cultivate?"
I nodded before falling asleep.
"Kinda like that."
Indeed, each time I hugged my wife, I couldn’t resist the feeling of falling asleep right then and there.
[POV]:Arthea
"Hey, wake up. You idiot."
Regardless of how I yelled at him, he showed no reaction. I even headbutted him lightly, but it was still no use.
I gave up.
Now, I just stared at his handsome face that I wanted to hit, but also wanted to caress.
It was quite complicated.
Being hugged by him wasn’t as bad as she thought. In contrast, she felt a strangely comforting sense of protection.
I wanted to hug him back. That was my only thought at that moment.
Damn it, I hated it. I couldn’t refuse my instincts as a woman.
But now, we’re already husband and wife, so that’s something basic, right?
I self-hypnotized myself with that logic before letting out a long breath.
I stared at my husband’s face for a long time, then bit my lip. I couldn’t help but agree that he had helped her a lot – a price she could never pay.
She struggled to say,
"I’m grateful to you....but I still hate you.’’
