Chapter 57: Chapter 57 Hot Night
Sylvia’s POV:
His words sent shivers down my spine, igniting something primal within me that I’d been fighting for years. Caesar’s presence was overwhelming in the confined space of the Bentley, his natural dominance filling the air with an intoxicating energy that made my wolf whine with need.
"You can’t just say things like that," I managed to whisper, but my body betrayed me, leaning into his touch as his fingers continued their maddening path through my hair. The warmth of his hand at my waist burned through the thin fabric of my torn blouse.
Caesar’s eyes flickered with that peculiar golden glow that marked him as something more than just an Alpha. Supreme Alphas were rare—one in a generation—and their power was said to be unmatched. I could feel it now, rolling off him in waves that made my skin tingle. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
"Why not?" he murmured, his lips brushing against my ear. "It’s the truth. You’ve been mine since the moment I first caught your scent at the Pack Summit three years ago." His thumb traced my bottom lip, careful of the small cut at the corner of my mouth. "I’ve respected your distance, Sivi. Watched you chase after that fool Zane Thorne who couldn’t recognize a true mate if one bit him on the ass."
I should have been offended by his arrogance, but something in me recognized the truth of his words. My wolf was practically purring, pressing against my consciousness in a way she never had with Zane.
"The Supreme Alpha doesn’t take orders," I reminded him breathlessly, even as my fingers traced the hard planes of his chest through his shirt. "He gives them."
A low growl rumbled in his chest, and suddenly I found myself pulled fully into his lap, my thighs straddling his hips. The new position brought our bodies flush together, and I could feel every hard inch of him pressing against me.
"Then here’s an order," Caesar’s voice was rough with desire. "Stop fighting this, little wolf. Stop denying what’s between us."
His hands slid down my sides to grip my hips, and I couldn’t suppress the moan that escaped me. The power radiating from him was intoxicating, far beyond anything I’d ever felt from another werewolf.
"I feel it," I admitted, resting my forehead against his. "But it terrifies me. You terrify me, Caesar. The way you make me feel... it’s too much."
He captured my lips again, and this time there was nothing gentle about it. The kiss was demanding, passionate, claiming. When he finally pulled back, his eyes were fully gold, his wolf close to the surface.
"Let me show you," he whispered against my lips. "Let me show you how good we could be together. How right this is."
His hands slipped under my blouse, calloused fingers tracing patterns on my bare skin that made me arch against him. Every touch sent sparks of pleasure through my body, awakening parts of me I hadn’t known existed.
"Caesar," I gasped as his lips found my neck, teeth grazing the sensitive spot where a mating mark would go. "We’re in your car... in public..."
He chuckled darkly against my skin. "My windows are tinted, sweetheart. And right now, I couldn’t stop touching you if the entire Pack Council was watching."
The raw need in his voice made me shiver. This was what it meant to be wanted by a Supreme Alpha—this all-consuming desire that threatened to devour us both.
"Take me home," I whispered.
In one smooth motion, he lifted me back into the passenger seat, but not before stealing another searing kiss that left me breathless.
"Hold tight, Sivi," he growled, starting the engine.
Caesar carried me from the car into his private estate, my body cradled against his chest like I was made of glass. The warmth of his body against mine sent tingles through every nerve ending, but I still felt the need to protest.
"I can walk by myself, you know," I murmured, my voice barely above a whisper. "You don’t need to carry me."
His lips curved into that devastating smile that made my wolf purr. "I enjoy holding my mate in my arms," he said, his deep voice rumbling through his chest and into mine. "Let me have this pleasure." ƒгeewebnovёl.com
I bit my lower lip to hide a smile. Fine. If the Supreme Alpha of North America wanted to play servant, who was I to deny him? After everything I’d been through, being carried like precious cargo wasn’t the worst fate.
The mansion was magnificent—all modern lines and understated luxury, yet with an undeniable air of power. Just like its owner. He moved through the halls with confident familiarity, never once jostling me as he carried me to what must have been the master bedroom.
Caesar placed me gently on the enormous bed, his fingers lingering against my skin a moment longer than necessary before he disappeared into the adjoining bathroom. I heard the sound of running water, and realized he was preparing a bath. The thought of hot water soothing my aching muscles made me nearly moan with anticipation.
When he returned, his tie was loosened and sleeves rolled up, revealing powerful forearms dusted with dark hair. Without a word, he scooped me back into his arms.
"How did you know I wanted a bath?" I asked, genuinely surprised by his intuition.
His silver-blue eyes locked with mine, the intensity in them making my breath catch. "I’m your mate, little wolf. Reading your needs is my privilege."
The possessiveness in his tone should have offended my Alpha nature, but instead, it sent a delicious shiver down my spine. The bathroom was a marvel of marble and glass, with a sunken tub large enough for four people. Steam rose invitingly from the water, carrying the scent of lavender and chamomile.
As he set me down near the tub, a wave of self-consciousness washed over me. Despite the electricity between us, despite that soul-shattering kiss in the car, we were still virtually strangers. The idea of being naked in front of him made my cheeks flush.
"Thank you," I said quickly, gathering the edges of his suit jacket more tightly around me. "I can handle it from here."
I wrapped a plush towel around myself before removing his jacket, unable to meet his gaze directly. The heat of my blush spread down my neck.
Caesar didn’t budge. Instead, he leaned casually against the doorframe, his eyes never leaving mine. "We’re bonded now, Sivi. There’s nothing of you I haven’t already claimed with my wolf."
"That’s—that’s different," I stammered, my face burning hotter. My hand reached out to push against his chest, intending to guide him out of the bathroom.
His reaction was instantaneous. His fingers closed around my wrist with gentle precision, turning it to expose the angry red marks where the restraints had dug into my skin. His expression darkened dangerously, the earlier playfulness evaporating like mist under a harsh sun.
"Those men did this to you?" His voice had dropped to something primal and deadly, the voice of an Alpha preparing for war.
