Chapter 15: Chapter 15 Do You Like It
Sylvia‘s POV
The moon’s silver glow filtered through the penthouse windows as I felt Caesar’s voice rumble against my skin, deep and intoxicating. My heartbeat quickened instantly.
"Caesar..." I blinked, arms draped around his neck as I attempted to maintain some semblance of control. "I remember you promised we could take things slowly if I wasn’t ready."
The sexual experiences with Caesar were too wild. I believed that if this continued, I might even forget my goal of becoming the Alpha of the wolf pack. I couldn’t fall into depravity like this, so I made an agreement with Caesar to slow things down. Caesar had whispered promises that he would never push me beyond my comfort zone.
A smile curved his perfect lips. He tilted my chin up with one finger, his eyes clear and cool yet filled with unmistakable heat.
"Are you unwilling then?" he asked, his warm breath skimming my ear.
The sensation sent ripples of pleasure down my spine, making me shiver with need. My wolf stirred restlessly within me, recognizing what my human mind still struggled to fully accept—this man was my true mate.
"God, you’re impossible," I thought, feeling my resolve crumbling beneath his skilled touch.
So much for his reputation as the untouchable Wolf King. Behind closed doors, he knew exactly how to break down my defenses.
I tightened my arms around his neck, my voice dropping to a whisper. "Caesar, you’re infuriatingly sexy."
A low laugh escaped him before his mouth claimed mine, pinning me firmly between his hard body and the couch. I couldn’t escape even if I wanted to—and I definitely didn’t want to.
His technique was masterful, alternating between deep, consuming kisses and lighter, teasing ones. His fingers interlaced with mine, holding my hands captive while his other hand traced patterns on my skin.
My mind fogged over with desire, my body surrendering to the primal heat between us. The bond between our wolves hummed with increasing intensity as I stopped fighting the inevitable.
The sound of our kiss deepened, and I felt myself melting into him completely. His towel had come loose, and I could feel every hard plane of his body pressed against mine. My wolf howled in approval, urging me to claim what was rightfully mine.
"Mine," he growled against my lips, echoing my wolf’s sentiment. His fingers trailed down my spine, each touch leaving a trail of fire in its wake.
Just as his hand slipped beneath the hem of my shirt, a shrill ringtone shattered our heated moment.
I startled at the sound, my clouded thoughts partially clearing as reality intruded. Glancing at my phone, I saw Morgana’s name flashing on the screen.
Instinctively, I pushed against Caesar’s chest, though my efforts were futile against his superior strength. His fingers continued their tantalizing path along my spine, eyes darkening to midnight as his lips brushed my earlobe.
"Ignore it," he commanded, his voice rough with desire.
The phone persisted in its demands for attention, each ring hammering against my already frayed nerves. Caesar’s mouth descended to my collarbone, his hot breath fanning across my sensitive skin, making me tremble beneath him.
My earlobe caught between his teeth sent waves of pleasure coursing through my body, turning my limbs to jelly. Despite the haze of desire clouding my judgment, I shook my head when I saw the caller ID again.
"I can’t... it’s Morgana," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
Caesar’s expression showed he was contemplating snatching the phone away to end the interruption. Before he could, I reached over and pressed the answer button.
"Hello?" My voice sounded strained even to my own ears.
"Girl! Why aren’t you answering my texts?" Morgana’s excited voice blasted through the speaker. "Don’t tell me you’re studying that family heritage video I sent you?"
At her words, my face burned crimson. I glanced up at Caesar, only to find him watching me with undisguised amusement, a knowing smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
"No, I... I haven’t watched it yet," I stammered.
"Why not? You absolutely must! Study it thoroughly!" Morgana continued enthusiastically. "Then go buy some sexy lingerie to show off that amazing body of yours. I guarantee my cousin won’t be able to resist! Those brooding types like him go crazy for that kind of surprise!"
Morgana’s volume hadn’t decreased one bit, and she seemed completely oblivious to my embarrassment. I felt my face growing hotter by the second, certain I must resemble a tomato by now.
Caesar chuckled softly, his lips brushing my ear as he whispered, "So you enjoy playing those kinds of games?"
I bit my lip in mortification, wishing the floor would open up and swallow me whole. My wolf, however, was practically purring at the suggestion.
"Listen, honey," Morgana continued her unsolicited advice, "men love women who are pure in public but wild in private. It drives them absolutely—"
"Morgana," I finally interrupted, finding my voice. "I’m kind of in the middle of something."
Caesar’s hand slipped further up my shirt, his fingertips tracing circles on my bare skin. My breath hitched, and I knew Morgana would hear it.
"Oh my god," she gasped, immediately understanding. "Is he there? Are you two—"
"I’ll call you back tomorrow," I managed to say before quickly ending the call.
I tossed the phone aside, meeting Caesar’s intense gaze. The interruption had done nothing to dim the fire between us; if anything, it burned hotter than before.
"Now," Caesar murmured, his voice a delicious growl that sent shivers racing down my spine, "where were we?"
My cheeks burned knowing Caesar had heard every single word of Morgana’s inappropriate suggestions. I couldn’t even look him in the eyes now.
I needed to cool down. Pushing against his chest, I sat up on the couch and straightened my rumpled clothes, trying to regain some semblance of dignity. With practiced nonchalance, I reached for the water glass on the coffee table and took a long sip, desperate to hide my flustered state.
Caesar’s smile only deepened as he observed my pitiful attempt at composure. He rose to his feet in one fluid motion, moving with the predatory grace that only born Alphas possessed, and bent down until we were eye-level.
"Why so flushed?" he asked, his voice a velvet rumble that sent shivers racing down my spine. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
My heartbeat thundered so loudly I was certain he could hear it. I avoided his penetrating gaze, my eyes darting around until they landed on a magazine lying on the coffee table.
"It’s probably just warm in here," I mumbled. "I think I’ll... read for a bit. Reading before bed is good for you."
Caesar studied my nervous demeanor, amusement dancing in his eyes. Instead of pursuing me further, he casually settled onto the couch beside me, maintaining a small distance that somehow felt more intimate than if he’d been touching me.
He picked up his phone and began scrolling through messages, appearing completely unfazed by our heated moment, as if nothing had happened between us.
The room fell into silence, broken only by the soft hum of the air conditioner. I stole a glance at him from the corner of my eye.
He was focused on his phone, likely handling pack business or Vertex matters. His profile was striking—strong jawline, perfectly sculpted features illuminated by the warm glow of the lamp. My mind wandered back to Morgana’s words as I studied his broad shoulders, narrow waist, and long legs. Everything about him exuded the raw power and magnetism of an Alpha wolf in his prime.
My heartbeat accelerated again, betraying my attempt at indifference.
Caesar sensed my gaze and looked up, catching my eyes before I could look away. He set his phone down and leaned closer, his warm breath brushing against my cheek, carrying a hint of tobacco and something uniquely him.
"Don’t look at me like that," he murmured, his voice dropping to a dangerously seductive level, "or I won’t be able to stop myself from kissing you again."
