Chapter 855: Chapter 855. Opportunity
"Spatial ripples," Kailen thought. "This secret realm is a spatial principle secret realm. Only Transcendents with the principle of space will come here. And the chaotic beasts here have the principle of space."
Just as Kailen was in thought, a very large group of swords with distorting spatial energies blinked towards his direction.
They had the power of a rank 3 novice stage Transcendent.
"Shit... this thing could kill me."
Kailen melded with the void and disappeared from where he previously was.
He appeared on the peak of another mountain, far from where he previously was.
He quickly deactivated his principle of space, in order to not draw the attention of whoever was having a fight with who or what.
Kailen squinted his eyes.
He saw ten individuals materialize above the mountain peak he was previously on.
From where he was, he could see them. Although the distance between the mountain he was now on and the mountain they were on was quite far, it was not to a point where he could not see them.
Quickly, he sat motionless on the mountain peak like a statue, as the snow completely covered his figure.
If one did not pay close attention, they would not even discover him.
Kailen observed the ten individuals.
They were two groups.
Five on each side.
"Are you really going to kill us? We all discovered the secret about that island together. This is the second time it has emerged again. We could all explore it together. Why are you doing this?" One of the people, a vampire from one group, said.
"Yeah... this is very unfair... we all discovered the secret together, and you want to kill us and head there to explore the place yourselves?"
"Since you want to kill us, then we will go all out and kill you!"
Someone from the opposite group spoke.
"The universe is a law of the jungle. Don’t be naive. If you are strong enough, you can take anything you want. Kill them."
The moment she spoke, her group clashed with the other group.
Spatial principle attacks ranging from spatial swords, staffs, arrows, slashes, among others clashed throughout the place.
The void twisted and bent. It was a very cataclysmic battle. Even the mountain above which they fought and several forests surrounding it were reduced into nothing.
As for Kailen, a glint of greed flashed through his eyes.
Through emotional resonance, he had read their thoughts.
"North from this place, an island in the middle of a dreadful ocean, 80 million kilometers from here. There are enough principle fragments which can help me break through to rank 3 and even rank 4 intermediate stage Transcendent level. I need to make sure the surviving group from their clash do not cease this opportunity for themselves," Kailen thought.
"But if I move now, they will discover me and I’ll get killed. When their battle is over and they leave, I will also head towards the location. As for how I will handle them when I get there, I will think of a solution along the way."
Very soon, the group that had intended to initially kill the other group were slaughtered by the other group they attacked.
The group that had survived bolted towards the northern direction from the vicinity, headed towards the island.
When they left, Kailen heaved a sigh of relief. His camouflage had worked. Though he was calm, he was not emotionless. He was naturally nervous during the whole period. Just one person among the group could have killed him with just a single attack had he been discovered.
Kailen left towards another route, not intending to even follow them.
During the journey, he passed across several mountains, rivers, oceans and came across a lot of chaotic beasts.
He even came across a lot of Transcendents. But he did not reveal himself to them. Each of them were powerful enough to kill him. He did not dare to give even the slightest idea of his presence. If he saw them from 8 o’clock, he would disappear towards 12 o’clock before they even noticed him.
Neither did he attack any of the chaotic beasts.
His focus was the island he was headed to. There was no need to waste his time.
He came across various environmental hazards such as mysterious spatial principle storms, terrifying volcanoes with the power of fire principles, among others. But he narrowly escaped these places.
Eventually, Kailen arrived at a seashore. Kailen decided to stand on a tall mountain at the seashore.
From the peak of the tall mountain, he spotted five transcendents somewhere above the sea, heading towards the middle of the ocean, where an island which looked like a tiny dot from his current location was.
A glint flashed through his eyes.
"I need to do something about them. If they arrive on the island before me, all my effort would have been in vain. They will claim all the principle fragments for themselves. I should find a way to get rid of them before they arrive," Kailen thought.
"Is there some sort of environmental hazard I could make use of... after a long time of thinking, that’s the best course of action I could come up with," Kailen scratched his chin.
"Wait... what is that?" Kailen saw a very large spatial whirlwind shoot from one direction.
Another one shot from another direction. They zipped across the ocean, causing the waves to meld and twist.
The spatial whirlwinds were approaching the group of five, heading towards the Island.
The group of five noticed.
Expressions of shock and fear flashed through their eyes.
It was obvious they could deemed the spatial whirlwinds extremely terrifying.
Their figures melded with the void and reappeared at different spots on the sea. However, the spatial whirlwinds were too fast.
It would blink and catch up with them.
Eventually, just when they almost arrived on the Island, the spatial whirlwinds overtook them, drowning them in its attacks.
The group died, just like that.
Kailen felt a chill crawl up his spine.
"If I had rushed across the oceans... damn."
The spatial whirlwinds kept circling across the oceans, wherever they passed, even chaotic beasts gallivanting in and out of the oceans died.
"How do I get to this Island?" Kailen thought.
