Chapter 851: Chapter 851. Destroying two factions with one slash

Heavenly Tyrant Academy.

5th Academy Planet.

Kailen was currently in a rare principle fragment tower on the fifth academy planet.

He was currently comprehending space profundities in space principle fragments.

His focus was to break into the rank 2 intermediate stage Transcendent level before he left the principle fragment tower.

There had been some change of plans. Initially, the plan was to rotate between the academy training regions (the planets with the principle fragment towers and secret realms) and deal with the Isis Faction when he breaks into the rank 2 intermediate stage Transcendent level. However, that was no longer possible.

"Isis and company are definitely waiting for me outside this principle fragment tower. Even if he were to be someone who thinks with his brain and would want to stay out of my business, he probably understands that I won’t let the Isis Faction off, not after how things have developed. He sees me as a threat that will come after his faction. So, out of necessity, he’d want to eliminate me. If I leave without breaking through, I have to admit, I’ll die. I need to break through before I leave. Fortunately, I’ve bought myself enough time," Kailen thought.

He moved to another space principle fragment, made a connection to it, and started comprehending the space principle profundities in it.

After the principle fragment grew ethereal and disappeared, he proceeded to another one.

Kailen repeated this cycle over and over again.

Several years passed again.

Kailen’s eyes flashed open. His abyss-like eyes were calmer and more profound.

"I’ve finally managed to break into the rank 2 intermediate stage Transcendent level. My time inside here is not up. I should continue cultivating. I need all the strength I can get to get rid of the Isis Faction," Kailen thought.

He closed his eyes again and continued.

****

Outside a principle fragment tower on the fifth academy planet, a commotion was brewing.

A large group of people, led by a dark-skinned human fellow wearing summer t-shirts and sweatpants, stood a couple of walks away from the principle fragment tower.

This group of people was the Isis Faction, led by Isis.

Rumors were that they were here to get rid of Kailen Darkhaven.

The new rank 4000 on the top rankers list. (A/N: Top rankers list is top 5000 on the Heavenly Tyrant Rankings.)

Many sighed.

As expected of the academy. A genius would rise today and would get killed the following day.

It was something that was seen every day.

It seemed this Kailen Darkhaven’s luck was very bad.

It was not that he was looked down on.

Isis himself was a rank 2 intermediate stage Transcendent, and everyone he brought here with him was a rank 1 intermediate stage Transcendent ranked on the high rankers list.

Even he could not take on so many of these rank 1 intermediate stage Transcendents, let alone Isis.

Kailen Darkhaven would still be a rank 1 intermediate stage Transcendent, no matter how strong he had become when he came out of the principle fragment tower. He would definitely fall today.

Suddenly, a group of people arrived here too.

"Are those not the members of the Redeemed Faction?"

"Even Redeemed himself is here?"

"What are they doing here?"

Whispers spread across the place.

Isis approached Redeemed.

Redeemed was a pale-skinned female elf, a rank 2 intermediate stage Transcendent.

She was clad in fairly regal robes that highlighted her beauty.

She was ranked 3001 on the Heavenly Tyrant Rankings. Just a rank below Isis. Their strength was literally on the same level. What accounted for their difference in ranks was just a single contribution point difference. Isis didn’t dare to look down on her. Instead, he treated her like an enemy he could not get rid of. Now... she was here too? What was she here for?

"What are you doing here, Redeemed?" Isis asked.

"Isis, don’t tell me you are not happy to see me?" Redeemed replied. "Naturally, I am here to recruit the person you are here to kill."

Isis nodded. He was not surprised. "And if he rejects your offer?"

Redeemed shrugged. "I’ll kill him, if you don’t beat me to it first. After all, he’s a potential threat to our ranks if he’s left alive."

"You took advantage of the perfect opportunity to offer him a way out," Isis sighed. "You know he will be desperate to survive once he comes out and realises he’s cornered. You’ll tell him he should join your faction. Knowing he will die by my hands or the hands of your faction members if he does not join your faction, he’s definitely not gonna refuse, huh?"

Redeemed smiled. "As expected of Isis, your deductive abilities are terrifying."

Isis simply nodded and returned to his faction members.

Those in the vicinity observed the interaction.

Kailen Darkhaven was screwed. Really screwed.

However, they didn’t leave.

People enjoyed the demise of others. To them, this was entertaining. Some had even started recording the whole thing, planning to post it on academy forums later.

Suddenly, someone came out of the principle fragment tower.

Abyss-like hair and eyes. Tall, lean athletic build. Pale, fair skin. Clad in a long coat, jeans, and white sneakers.

Kailen Darkhaven.

When he saw Isis and company, he was not surprised.

"It seems my reasoning was on point," Kailen thought. "Fortunately, I made sure to break into the rank 2 intermediate stage Transcendent level. Not only that, I took advantage of the remaining time I had left in there to comprehend a couple of principle profundities."

He scanned the place again. Kailen noticed a pretty elf in some fancy robes, with a group trailing behind her.

The moment they locked gazes, she smiled and spoke.

"Hi, I’m Redeemed. Leader of the Redeemed Faction. Would you like to join our faction? I’m sure you are aware of the current situation, Mr. Darkhaven. I can offer you a way out. I’m ranked 3001 on the Heavenly Tyrant Rankings, not in the least bit weaker than Isis over there. If you join my faction, he won’t dare to harm you."

"And if I refuse to join, you’ll kill me if he does not beat you to it, right?" Kailen said.

Redeemed nodded innocently. "Yes. I’m sure you know how things work in the academy. Everyone is a potential threat to everyone. But people like you are more of an asset as an ally or a time-ticking bomb as an enemy. If I don’t kill you now, you may one day become too strong and come and hunt me and my faction members down for contribution points. So, no hard feelings."

Kailen simply nodded.

"I refuse." He stepped forward before anyone could process what he meant.

Redeemed stepped forward.

A crimson-colored ribbon formed from flames appeared before her. The ribbon of flames shot towards Kailen.

As for Isis, he was quiet. He didn’t make a move.

If Redeemed could dirty her hands and kill Darkhaven, why would he bother? He would only step in if, for some ridiculous reason, she could not handle him.

Kailen waved his hand. The void twisted and bent. An ethereal spatial katana appeared in his hand.

Several eyes, including those of Redeemed and Isis, went wide open.

Rank 2 intermediate stage Transcendent level.

Impossible...

Isis knew he had to step forward.

This fellow had broken through. He would be dangerous to deal with.

A greenish hue surrounded his body for a moment.

The greenish hue transformed into several earth palm prints.

The palm prints were extremely large and overbearing, blotting out everywhere.

The palm prints shot towards Kailen.

The ribbons and the palm prints appeared close to Kailen at the same time.

He slashed with the spatial katana.

Something profound, lethal, and mesmerizing happened.

It was as if Darkhaven had never moved. At the same time, it was as if his single strike had peered through various layers of the void at the same time.

The earth palm print and the ribbon were sliced through. Then, they folded inwards and disappeared from existence.

Simultaneously, Redeemed looked at her figure.

Why was she seeing things sideways?

Why did she have a hollowed feeling around her neck?

Isis felt the same way. Why was he feeling numb in several parts of his body?

What was this hollow feeling across his body?

As for those observing, they knew the answer.

The faction members of Isis and Redeemed.

They were all dead.

Body parts dismembered from one another, as if hollowed out and bent at grotesque angles. Expressions of shock on some dismembered faces.

Those watching saw Redeemed and Isis.

Redeemed, her head had been hollowed from the rest of her body, it tumbled and fell. From the expression on her face, she did not even know how she died, neither did it even register.

Isis, he had been cut into pieces.

He did not even have a recognisable body.

How was it possible?

How could one fucking strike achieve all this?

How terrifying was this new student’s comprehension of the principle of space?

Many stared at Kailen Darkhaven.

His eyes were calm. He looked nonchalant, spatial katana in his hand, as if he had never moved.

Several rank 2 and rank 1 intermediate stage Transcendents across the place were terrified.

Who the hell was this new student??
