Chapter 842: Chapter 842. Extreme methods.
The spaceships glided through the starry sea, headed towards the second academy planet.
Eventually, the spaceships arrived on the second academy planet, the residential region.
The residential region was divided into four regions: the southern district, the northern district, the eastern district, and the western district.
When the spaceships arrived, the new students headed towards the various districts where their villas were.
Kailen eventually arrived at the southern residential district.
There were several new students that had also arrived here.
He proceeded towards his villa, Apartment 2304.
Several villas stretched along the place.
The skies were very misty and serene. The moonlight illuminated the place.
Occasionally, some students would walk past.
"It seems the new students have arrived," someone chuckled.
"Heh, it’s only a matter of time before they are either forced to join factions and become lackeys of others, or they are killed for contribution points. Let’s see how many of them will survive for long."
"I even heard that ten new students have been killed at the eastern residential district right now."
Kailen was not surprised by these whispers. It was just as the professors had informed them. This academy was a place where the strong could throw their weight around and the weak could only suffer.
It was only a matter of time before some people made a move on him.
A glint of coldness flashed through his eyes.
Kailen entered his villa and settled in.
He changed his clothes into t-shirts and some khaki shorts.
Someone would have thought he would be panicking or running away from whatever trouble lay ahead after he arrived. But, he was oddly calm.
He was even watching television on a holographic screen at the moment, and eating some snacks at the moment.
Suddenly, a group of people swaggered across the villas in the vicinity.
"All new students come out!"
Several new students used several methods to disappear from their rooms, fleeing towards various directions.
They knew they would die, or they would be forced to join factions and become lackeys of some faction leaders.
They were here to cultivate, not follow someone’s orders.
"Hmph!" The group of people snorted.
"It’s only a matter of time before they return. We will be waiting here for them." The leader of the group was a fish-looking Demihuman with razor-sharp teeth. He was dressed in a suit. He had a very uncompromising, malevolent expression on his face.
"I can’t wait to have more credits."
"Hehe. These fuckers think they can outsmart us. Unless they take on academy missions and leave the academy, they can’t escape from us."
Kailen was observing all this from his room.
"Someone really showed up, huh. I would have simply melded with the void and left this place to the first academy planet to lay low for a while had they been rank 2 intermediate stage Transcendents. However, since they are rank 1 intermediate stage Transcendents, I could use their contribution points. As for whether or not they belong to some faction, I naturally don’t care. Trying to be low-key and trying to take things lying down in a place like the academy will only invite more trouble. It seems I will have to resort to extreme methods during my stay in the academy."
After these thoughts, Kailen disappeared from his room and reappeared in front of his villa.
The group swaggered towards him.
The fish-looking Demihuman leader revealed a greedy and cold glint. All he was seeing was contribution points when he looked at Kailen.
His group stared at Kailen as if he was a dead man.
"No hard feelings. It’s just the way things work in the academy."
The guy shrugged.
Several bubbles of water appeared around him. The water bubbles turned into large water bullets and shot towards Kailen.
Kailen did not move.
He simply stood quietly with his hands in his pockets.
The moment the water bullets appeared close to him, the void rippled and bent. A spatial vortex appeared.
The water bullets twisted and were swallowed into the spatial vortex. The spatial vortex disappeared into the void.
"Boss Galgafa, this dude is not easy. We need to gang up on him," someone said.
What they just saw made it obvious that this new student was not easy to deal with.
Galgafa was, however, calm.
Kailen stared back at him, and he also stared at Kailen.
"This person is not simple. Perhaps, I should recruit him into the Isis Faction. Boss Isis will be pleased," he thought.
"Friend... how about you join our faction, the Isis Faction? My name is Galgafa. I can vouch that you will obtain the protection of the Isis Faction if you join us. In turn, you will come to the aid of the Isis Faction if another faction wants to kill us for our contribution points. How’s that?" Galgafa said.
His lackeys also stared at Kailen to know his response.
"Sorry... not interested." The moment Kailen spoke, Galgafa and company felt the void bend and twist across them. They wanted to move but they could not move. When each of them attempted to use their principle to attack Kailen, their attacks seemed to destabilize, as if the void was refusing to accept their existence.
"Shit... who the fuck is this guy?"
"Don’t you know the Isis Faction? If you kill us, you will die in less than a week in the academy!"
"You should let us go... we won’t bother you anymore."
Reason gave way to fear, as some of them launched threats at Kailen and others begged for their lives. They had never expected this fellow to be this powerful, and so crazy enough to try and kill them, even when he was aware they belonged to a faction.
Galgafa himself had pissed on himself.
He stared into the eyes of the new student. It was as if he was staring into an abyss. He had never felt so much fear. Was he really going to die?
A very large spatial vortex formed where the Isis Faction people were standing.
Their forms warped and morphed as the spatial vortex swallowed them whole.
Their dying screams echoed across the place.
The whole place turned silent.
Not even their bones remained.
They were dead. They had been simply erased from existence.
The spatial vortex disappeared into the void.
Kailen turned around.
Several older students were observing everything covertly.
They could not help but feel chills crawl up their spines.
Indeed, not all new students could be bullied.
Some of them had taken videos of what had happened. They decided to post it on academy forums.
As for Kailen, his gaze peered through the void as he scanned some of those who had watched the altercation.
His look was simple: if anyone thinks he could be pushed around, they were free to come after him. He would welcome their contribution points.
After that, he looked at the notification of large amounts of contribution points he had obtained and entered his villa.
