Time passed and now the two were sitting on the bed, resting their backs against the bedframe, with Nora’s head on his shoulder and her baby still in her arms, and Austin holding Nora close to him.
The two remained silent for a while, not saying anything, and right now the cute wolfkin had a beautiful smile on her face as she registered the thought of the three of them looking like a family.
Austin was the father and she was the mother, and right now the father and mother were hugging and snuggling each other with their cute little baby between them.
Nora pondered about this, and the thought instantly brought a huge smile to her face as she embraced the feeling of becoming a mother and having the perfect husband by her side.
Meanwhile, Austin kissed her beautiful forehead before finally asking. "How long was I asleep?"
"Five days."
"What? Five days?"
"Yeah, and I was really worried because after that lady brought you here, you didn’t even blink or open your eyes for five days, but you were still breathing, so that brought a bit of relief to our hearts."
"A lady? What lady?" Austin asked, not knowing who Nora was talking about. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
"Huh? Do you not know who she is? But she saved you and brought you here. She said you saved her, so she decided to do the same for you." Nora explained, and Austin finally understood what she was talking about.
It had to be the voice he had heard in the forest.
To be honest, at first Austin had thought everything that happened in the forest was a dream, but the moment Nora mentioned a lady had brought him here, he finally realised it had to be the voice he had been hearing in his mind.
"But she’s really weird." Nora muttered to herself, but it was loud enough for Austin to hear.
"What do you mean?"
"I’ve never seen a lady walk around without any clothes before, and she felt no shame doing it either. If sister Rowena hadn’t urged her to wear some clothes three days ago, she probably would still be walking around completely naked."
Hearing this, Austin couldn’t help but smile at the adorable expression on his beautiful wolfkin’s face, so he leaned over to kiss her cute pouting cheek.
However, he instantly stopped himself when he suddenly replayed the words Nora had said.
"Did you just call her sister Rowena?"
"Huh? Um, yeah. We’re friends now. Actually, we’re more like sisters now."
"Sisters?" Austin unwittingly asked again, still finding it hard to believe what he was hearing.
However, Nora nodded with a smile as she replied. "Yep."
"What did I miss these past five days?"
"A lot..." Nora replied with a giggle.
These past five days had been the most troubling and scary experience of Nora’s life, but also the most amazing and touching, because not only had her cute little baby been born into this world, Nora had also bonded with the big-chested Countess.
Their sisterhood had been forged through the shared worry and concern they had for the unconscious Austin.
Nora spent four days in the room where Austin lay sleeping.
She sat close to him and waited for him to wake up, because she wanted to make sure she was by his side when he did, but there were times when she felt extremely sleepy, so whenever she went to rest, Rowena would take her place.
At certain times, the two would sit in the room together, sharing stories of their experiences in life and talking about Austin as well.
Rowena was particularly interested in hearing about Austin’s childhood.
Since Austin had decided to become her friend, Rowena had developed a strong desire to learn as much about him as possible.
Learning about him had unexpectedly allowed her to grow close to Nora as well, and now Nora wasn’t just her friend, she had become her sister.
And this was a very meaningful first experience for both of them, because neither had ever had a sister before, so it felt really nice to finally have one.
Anyways, Austin stayed silent as he enjoyed the warmth of hugging his beautiful wife, then he stared at the cute little baby cradled in her arms.
Now that he had ensured his beautiful wife was in good health, Austin could finally focus on his cute little baby as well. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
Meanwhile, Nora noticed his gaze and smiled before asking softly. "Would you like to hold her?"
"It’s a girl?" Austin asked with a surprised look on his face.
"Yeah, she is. Even though I wanted a boy, I’m happy to have her nonetheless, because she’s ours." Nora said softly as she handed the baby over to Austin.
Being a father for the first time, Austin was extremely gentle and careful as he held his cute little pup in his hands.
Looking closely, Austin could see that his cute little girl had the same colour of hair as his wife, but since she was still asleep, he couldn’t see what colour her eyes were.
"Have you given her a name yet?"
"Not yet. I was waiting for you before we decided on what to call her."
Hearing this, Austin smiled as he pondered on a good name to give their daughter.
He stared out of the window where he could see a bright moon, and a name instantly came to mind.
"How about Luna?" Austin suggested this name because while he was in Blacksand Forest, he recalled how dark everything was, but the thought of seeing his wife and child had been the only thing that kept him going. Luna just felt right, because his little girl had been his beacon of light urging him to stay alive, and that was why he felt the name suited her perfectly.
Meanwhile, Nora pondered on their daughter’s name and really liked how it sounded, noting how close it was to her own name.
And so, with this thought in mind, Nora leaned against him even more as she nodded in acceptance of the name.
