Chapter 133: Chapter 107: Fair Rewards and Punishments

Li Ziyu sat on the White Bone Throne, head in his hand, replaying the recent events in his mind.

He wasn’t the calmest person, to be sure, but this was the first time he had flown into such a rage—to the point of wanting to kill—all because of a bad morning mood. The sudden, inexplicable fury wasn’t normal.

"Boss, I’ve brought them."

Just as Li Ziyu was lost in thought, Zhang Peng led the two Cat Girls into the hall. His soft call broke Li Ziyu’s reverie. Li Ziyu looked up, his gaze somewhat vacant as he looked down at them.

Meng Ni shielded her younger sister behind her and bravely looked up at Li Ziyu. The moment their eyes met, his silent, vacant gaze made her heart shudder.

Sensing her sister’s trembling, Mengmeng quietly poked her little head out and peeked around.

’Hmm, the Master of the Undead looks sleepy. What’s my sister so afraid of?’

Mengmeng glanced at her sister in confusion, unable to understand.

’Honestly,’ she thought, ’the Master of the Undead doesn’t seem like a bad person. At least he was willing to give me food, and he didn’t actually try to kill me. He’s much better than a lot of the other Races in the Wasteland.’

She was sure that if she had brought information to the Goblin Tribe or the Headhunter Tribe, she wouldn’t have walked out alive.

"Great Master of the Undead, I beg you, please spare my sister and me," Meng Ni pleaded, suddenly dropping to her knees with a trembling voice.

Mengmeng hadn’t expected her sister to suddenly kneel, leaving her completely exposed. Her big, bright eyes darted around until she noticed everyone looking at her. She froze.

’Sister, you could have given me a heads-up! This is so awkward!’

Mengmeng gave a strained laugh as everyone stared at her, wailing internally.

"Give me the information, then you can go." A dull ache was starting in Li Ziyu’s head again, making his thoughts sluggish. He waved a hand impatiently.

"We don’t know any information. Mengmeng is still little. Please, Master of the Undead, don’t hold her nonsense against her. I’ll discipline her when we get back," Meng Ni said, prostrating herself on the floor with her head bowed low.

Hearing her sister, Mengmeng grew frantic. ’You can’t say that! If you do, I’ll lose my meat!’ She took a step forward, positioning herself in front of Meng Ni, and tilted her head up. "No, no, no, Master of the Undead! Don’t listen to my sister! I have information, I really do!"

"Mengmeng! Stop messing around!" Meng Ni looked up in a panic and grabbed her sister, trying to make her be quiet.

’Who do you think is up there? That’s the Master of the Undead! How dare you spout nonsense in front of him? Do you have a death wish?’

But to her surprise, her sister pulled free from her grasp and took another step forward. "I saw it! I saw it with my own eyes!"

Without another moment’s hesitation, Mengmeng recounted what she had seen from the tree—the Alliance Army. Meng Ni’s eyes widened in astonishment as she stared at her sister.

After listening, Li Ziyu nodded and waved his hand, dismissing them.

Overjoyed, Meng Ni grabbed Mengmeng and started to leave. The Little Cat Girl struggled but couldn’t break free from her sister’s grip. She was dragged away, looking back over her shoulder every few steps.

"Map," Li Ziyu said softly, his eyes half-closed.

Liu Xingxing hurriedly pulled up the system map and presented it to Li Ziyu. ’The boss is terrifying right now. I can’t afford to be even a little slow. It would be just my luck to make him angry.’

Zhang Peng saw the look in the Little Cat Girl’s eyes, then glanced back at Li Ziyu studying the map. He picked up the piece of meat from the floor and ran after them.

...

"Wait!"

The two Cat Girls had just stepped out of the main building when they heard someone call from behind. Startled, Meng Ni grabbed her sister and bolted, only to find two figures blocking their path.

Two Minotaurs stood in their way, their towering bodies like a wall blocking the sisters’ path.

"The Master of the Undead said we could leave!" Meng Ni argued, her face pale, as she tried to sidle past the Minotaurs.

The Minotaurs cracked their knuckles—CRUNCH, CRUNCH—making it clear that if Meng Ni caused trouble, they would be forced to deliver a "loving" beatdown. Meng Ni didn’t dare move a muscle.

A moment later, Zhang Peng caught up, huffing and puffing. His stamina was clearly lacking; his lungs felt like they were on fire after just a short run. He bent over, hands on his knees, gasping in front of the Cat Girl Sisters. "Hold on... hold on... just let me catch... my breath."

After a few deep breaths to compose himself, he held up the meat. "I was just bringing you this. What were you running so fast for? The Master of the Undead is fair with his rewards and punishments. If he said it’s yours, it’s yours. Here, take it."

Mengmeng’s eyes lit up when she saw the meat in Zhang Peng’s hands, and she immediately reached for it. Meng Ni quickly stopped her, shooting her sister a glare before politely saying, "We thank the Master of the Undead for his kindness, but we cannot accept this."

"What, afraid there’s a problem?" Zhang Peng laughed. "Relax, we wouldn’t bother poisoning you. There’s no need. If it’s for you, just take it." Without waiting for an argument, he shoved the meat into Meng Ni’s hands. Then, still huffing and puffing, he turned and ran back toward the main building, not giving her another chance to speak.

Meng Ni looked down at the meat in her arms, somewhat dazed.

"Sister, Sister, don’t just stand there. Let’s go," Mengmeng whispered, tugging on Meng Ni’s arm.

"Huh? Oh, right. Let’s go," Meng Ni said, snapping out of it.

She glanced back. The two Minotaurs had already stepped aside to clear the path. They wore simple, good-natured smiles and even gestured for them to proceed. Meng Ni eyed the two Minotaurs warily before grabbing her sister and hurrying away.
