Chapter 26: Alchemy Part 1

Although he knew those items were pretty useless, they were only useless to him.

For example, what use did he have for three different spears? He wasn’t even a spear lover.

He had basically recycled every single item that didn’t fit his current needs. That included pills, weapons, and even techniques.

After all, most of those techniques were pretty useless to him. He did have a use for the spells and martial arts.

He also found an alchemy note for Beginner and Intermediate levels. Surprisingly, this guy was also an alchemist.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t a very good alchemist. Most of those pills were recycled because they were useless, failed pills.

Thinking about the alchemist, Tyler turned his attention towards his sister.

Right now, he couldn’t leave the tower. Not just right now. Even after a week or a month, he might not be able to leave the tower for long.

He couldn’t keep his sister alone in the tower. Even though he had friends and family when he was young.

So, he planned not to start that journey immediately. Instead, he could start learning alchemy.

This was an essential skill for a cultivator. Not all cultivators could master alchemy, but if they did, it could become a trump card for most.

Especially him, who needed a large amount of resources.

’If I become an Alchemist, I can earn a large amount of spirit stones simply by selling those pills.’

’Although the problem is I don’t have a Fire Spiritual Root, it doesn’t matter since alchemy can be done with just spiritual sense.’

In fact, that Golden Core Cultivator also didn’t have the Fire Spiritual Root. That’s why he could only become an intermediate alchemist of First Rank.

First Rank Beginner Alchemist could produce 60% of fine First Rank Pills like Qi Enhancing Pill, Qi Recovery Pill, and Healing Pill.

Qi Enhancing Pill could improve one’s Qi by ten percent, but the more one took, the harder it would be to enhance one’s Qi.

The Qi Recovery Pill could instantly restore a person’s Qi, depending on its qualities.

’That being said, even the Golden Core Cultivator could only become the First Rank Intermediate Level Alchemist.’

’There are a total of nine ranks, and each rank has four levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Peak.’

’If I want to become a powerful alchemist, I need to acquire the Fire attribute in my spiritual root.’

At this moment, Marx felt clear awe at the power of The Great Evolution Technique.

It could literally give him any kind of attribute he wished as long as he could find a person with that attribute and devour it.

"Brother, what are you thinking about?"

Maria asked, pulling the corner of his pants.

Marx jumped out of his thoughts and shook his head.

"Nothing! Did I make you wait long?"

Maria nodded.

"Yes, you have been silent for a long time, but I didn’t want to disturb you."

Marx smiled, picked up his sister in his embrace, and nudged her cheeks.

"My Maria is very responsible. I am sorry, I can’t play with you."

Maria shook her head.

"Brother is a powerful cultivator."

Marx said.

"I have something for you."

He looked at his system store and spent five bronze items to take out five puppets.

Dog Puppet, Cat Puppet, Deer Puppet, Tiger Puppet, and Butterfly Puppet!

They were First Rank Intermediate Level puppets.

"Wow! Brother, is this a dog? Is this a cat? Is this a tiger? What is it?"

Maria excitedly jumped from his embrace and ran towards the puppets. Except for the Deer Puppet, she recognized everything else.

"Hmm! They are not real animals, but they can do this." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"Dog, go fetch!"

Marx took out a small metal disk and threw it away.

The Dog Puppet was made out of wood, but its exterior was painted to look just like a dog.

Its eyes flashed red before it immediately ran towards the metal disk.

"Wow! Brother, me too! I want to do this."

Maria excitedly ran back to hold her brother’s pants as she asked for the metal disks.

"Here, I have enough for you."

He took out several of those disks. After Maria got those disks, she immediately tried to make the cat fetch them.

But it didn’t do anything. So, Maria looked back with teary eyes.

Marx had no choice but to explain the functions of every single puppet and also registered her as their sole controller.

He also took out a notebook and started writing stories.

That’s right!

To keep his story busy, he started drawing picture books from his memories. As a cultivator, he could work nonstop and at a very fast speed.

He was able to finish three picture books in just a single day, each picture book being as thick as his Science book from high school.

He wasn’t exactly writing seriously. He was writing anything that came to his mind.

Maria had already eaten and fallen asleep.

Marx worked the entire night, but he still didn’t feel any tiredness.

"Maria, I have another gift for you."

He smiled as he took out three books.

But Maria’s expression changed from morning yawning to horror.

"Noooo! I don’t want to study."

Seeing the sheer despair in her face, Marx couldn’t help but remember how his parents forced him to study almost every single book from an early age.

Just like him, his sister was also talented.

"Don’t worry, they are not those books. You will find them very interesting."

Marx smiled as he gave her the books.

But Maria ignored them and ran out to play with the puppets.

Seeing this, Marx helplessly shook his head and made them some breakfast. He also made them some lunch.

"Maria, I’ve already made lunch. If you are hungry, you can eat it without asking me."

He shouted before walking into another room.

It was an empty room and also a perfect place for training.

He took out five large books.

Looking at these books, he felt like he had returned to his university days.

But no matter what, he had to pull through and study all of them. This was essential for alchemy.

A Week Later

Marx pulled through and memorized all of those books. It took him five days overall, but he had to use two more days to test his knowledge.

He gave himself several tests, and after doing well in those tests, he finally decided to start with alchemy.

During this week, he also got to know Maria better.

She was very close to him. Despite only knowing her for a week, she barely left his side.

More importantly, whenever he was reading those books, she wouldn’t disturb him.

Of course, she wasn’t without flaws.

If she got bored pretty quickly, she would destroy things that looked boring.

For example, the dog puppet was good for playing fetch, the cat puppet was good to play with, and the deer and tiger puppets were also good for playing.

The butterfly puppet was pretty useless. She played with it for ten minutes and got bored.

So, she simply destroyed it.

Then, there was one of the storybooks that looked absolutely boring to read. After reading for half an hour, she also burned it.

In her mind, if it didn’t add any value to her life, she didn’t need it.

This kind of mentality was normal for a child, but it was also weird that she would simply destroy them.

Normally, kids would stop playing with something and forget it. But she would make sure to destroy them.

This felt more like her past life personality than a flaw.

Except for that, she also became very attached to him. Whenever he walked out of the house, she would follow him.

Whenever he went to another room, she would run to that room. The only time he could be alone was in the toilet.

But that made him feel good. After all, she was his sister.

More importantly, within this week, she slowly forgot about the painful memories of her parents.

She didn’t forget them, but she would no longer cry upon seeing their photos.

After a week, Tyler got a good idea about his sister. This also fueled his desire to reach the Foundation Establishment Realm.

If he couldn’t make a clone and let that clone be with his sister, he wouldn’t be able to do anything.

She was very considerate of his commands, but she would also be overbearing if he left her without giving any proper explanations.

He had to convince her how important alchemy was to him and how important it would be for her.

Only then did she leave him alone in this room.

"Without further ado, let’s start!"

Tyler muttered as he took out a large tripod furnace and placed a burner beneath it.

At the same time, he also took out several of the herbs and placed them on his side. He had cleaned them and prepared them for this round of alchemy.

After a week of study, Tyler understood the Alchemy on a basic level.

Alchemy was the nuclear fusion of herbs.
