Chapter 166: Princess Meets Yuki

In the middle of nowhere, deep inside the woods, Princess and Beam were tied up, kneeling on the ground. Heavy silver chains were wrapped tightly around them, the metal sizzling as it made contact with their skin. It smelled like burning flesh, but neither of them could break free from the binds. ƒrēewebnovel.com

Princess gritted her teeth, pulling against the links with everything she had left. She didn’t care about the smoke rising from her wrists or the way the silver seemed to bite deeper the more she struggled. No matter how bright her eyes glowed or how much her muscles strained, the chains wouldn’t budge. It was like trying to break a mountain with her bare hands.

Beam, on the other hand, was trying to do the same, but she didn’t have the same fire. Her movements were sluggish and she was already weakening, her head hanging low as the silver drained the life out of her.

Then footsteps approached through the dry leaves. Someone was coming. The sound got closer and closer until a figure stepped into the small clearing.

It was Yuki. Beside her stood two rangers, their faces blank and professional.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk... wow, I really can’t believe this. Princess Kings is actually here. The lover savior," Yuki said, her lips curling into a cruel smile. Her expression was nothing like the one the fans saw in the ring. The mask was completely off. Even her tone had changed, it carried a sharp, villainous edge that made my skin crawl.

Princess stared up at her with pure, unadulterated hatred. She wished more than anything that she was free just for one second, just long enough to rip that smug smile right off Yuki’s face. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

"I am going to kill you once I set myself free. I promise you that," Princess threatened, her voice low and dangerous.

"Alright then, go ahead and do that. Free yourself," Yuki said. She bent down, getting right into Princess’s face. She reached out and touched the silver chains with her bare hands. There were no burns. Nothing happened to her.

"A wolf like me is immune to this. I cannot get burned by silver. Even my claws are made of silver. That is how much I hate Alphas. I am willing to do anything to see you brats become extinct," Yuki said, her eyes flashing with a cold light.

"Where is Faye?" Princess asked, ignoring the threats.

"Oh... even on the brink of death, you’re still asking for your little puppy," Yuki laughed, the sound echoing through the trees. "Don’t worry, I’m going to protect Faye. The only thing you should be worried about is those... things you put inside her."

"I swear on my mother’s soul, I am going to rip your heart out. I will make you regret ever laying a hand on my girl!" Princess said, her voice cracking with rage.

"You shouldn’t make false promises you can’t keep. Faye is not your girl. She never will be. Faye is built for something much greater than being some Alpha’s pup bearer. If you had never shown up that night at the club, your life would have been a lot longer. Too bad it’s about to end right here."

Yuki stood up and turned her gaze toward Beam. Beam didn’t say a word, she just returned a steady death glare.

"I am an Alpha. You can’t kill an Alpha that easily," Princess said, her chest heaving.

"I know. But very soon, I will be able to achieve exactly that. There’s only one wolf who can do that, and all I have to do is fill her mind with so much hatred for Alphas that she does it for me."

Princess snarled, a wave of hot anger rushing through her veins. Even the silver chains began to vibrate against her skin from the force of it. Yuki noticed the movement but remained perfectly calm, almost bored.

"You better stay away from her. Don’t you dare try to tamper with her emotions. Just let her live her life the way she wants to live it," Princess said.

Yuki took a step back, studying Princess with a curious look. She realized then that Princess knew more than she was letting on.

"So you know. You knew exactly who she was this whole time. The Moon Wolf," Yuki said. Silence followed her words, confirming the truth. "Why wouldn’t you know? Your family is famous for hunting down the Moon Wolf. Destroying entire villages and towns just to prevent its birth. It’s what the Kings do best."

"Moon Wolf or not, Faye is my Omega, and I am going to protect her. I will never let anyone touch my family," Princess said, her voice steadying.

"She is not your family. She will never be. Faye is my family now. Look, I don’t have time for this chit-chat, I have to go back. So, this is goodbye, Kings."

Yuki turned away without another word. The rangers followed closely behind her, leaving Princess and Beam alone and bound in the middle of the dark woods.

"I’m sorry... I couldn’t protect you, Princess," Beam said quietly. The guilt in her voice was heavy.

"You shouldn’t apologize. I’m the one who is supposed to be protecting you, not the other way around. Let’s just find a way to get out of here, and then I will go find my girl," Princess said, her eyes scanning the surrounding trees.

"I shouldn’t have made you take your drugs during the car ride. If you hadn’t, you would have killed that bitch the moment she showed her face," Beam said. The chains were draining her much faster than they were Princess. Since she wasn’t an Alpha, the silver was like a poison moving through her system.

"I know my strength comes from being numb, but I can’t be in that state right now. I need to be clear-headed when I find my girl, okay? There’s always going to be a way out of this," Princess said.

"What about getting angry? You could gain strength from the anger and break free," Beam suggested, her voice getting weaker.

"Well, I don’t know if that would work right now. If Yuki were still standing here, I could use that. I just need to think of something else," Princess said, looking for any weakness in the links.

Then she started hearing it, low growling coming from the shadows. It wasn’t just one wolf. She tried to focus her hearing to figure out where they were.

"What about me? You should feel anger for what I’ve done to you in the past," Beam said suddenly.

"It’s all in the past, Beam. I think we’re not alone out here," Princess whispered.

"I slept with your girlfriend and tried to ruin your image. I hated you," Beam pushed.

"I think you really need to stop talking. Someone is coming, or they’re circling us. And by the way, I have a new girlfriend who actually loves me, so I don’t care about any of that anymore. I forgive you," Princess said, her eyes still darting around.

"I made a sex tape of you and Faye. I’m the reason you lost all your strikes. Your Gramps cut you off, your brother denied you because of what I did," Beam shouted.

"Okay, that’s enough," Princess cut in, her jaw tightening.

"Your own brother, who has always loved you, beat the absolute shit out of you because you’re a failure. You can’t even save your girlfriend. You can’t save the mother of your pups. You’re losing your family because you’re a failure. You failed everyone. You failed your mother, you failed your grandfather, you failed your brothers, and now you’ve failed Faye!"

"I said ENOUGH!!" Princess growled, the sound ripping from her throat.

The anger finally surged back, hotter and more violent than before. Memories of Adam’s fists, the humiliation of being cast out, and the paralyzing fear of not being able to find Faye flooded her mind all at once.

She felt the power bubbling up in her chest, raw and uncontrollable. She was ready. She was going to use every bit of that burning anger to snap these chains and tear through anyone who stood in her way.
