Chapter 164: Chapter 164: Don’t Tell Me You’re Shy?

Once Wen Yaozu was gone, the living room fell quiet.

Wen Ci leaned back on the sofa, crossed her legs, and hooked the man with the tip of her foot. Her eyes were sultry, her gaze swimming with affection:

"Not saying anything? Could it be someone’s feeling shy?"

’Even though she’d walked in on him pleasuring himself, they were husband and wife. It wasn’t as if they’d never seen or touched each other before.’

’What’s there to be shy about?’

At her words, the tips of Huo Jingyuan’s ears turned red. "Can we please not talk about it."

Wen Ci burst out laughing as she watched the man’s impossibly handsome cheeks flush. "Mr. Huo, you really are shy, aren’t you? Aren’t you usually so quick with the dirty talk?"

"I’m not."

The man’s voice was barely a whisper.

’Wen Ci was inwardly ecstatic.’

’Huo Jingyuan’s flustered expression was just too amusing.’

"You’re not what?" Wen Ci continued to tease him.

Huo Jingyuan stood frozen for a moment. Then, an idea seemed to strike him. A smirk played on his handsome, aloof face as he sat down beside Wen Ci.

His large, calloused hand gripped her waist, forcefully pulling her closer.

’Since he couldn’t fend off Wen Ci’s verbal teasing, he’d turn the tables and make his wife be the one to surrender.’

He gave her waist a squeeze, making Wen Ci’s eyes go wide. He leaned in close to her ear, his breath hot against her skin, and said nonchalantly:

"Darling, if you keep teasing me, I’ll let you experience what a man’s endurance is all about."

Wen Ci: "..."

’She was utterly speechless.’

But her expression was defiant. Her slender hand came to rest on his left cheek, tracing his chiseled jawline. Her lips curled into a smile:

"While Wen Yaozu is busy with his homework... why don’t we go upstairs?"

’The sixth-grade homework wasn’t hard for Wen Yaozu; he’d be done in half an hour, tops.’

’But half an hour was nowhere near enough for Huo Jingyuan—it wouldn’t even cover the kissing and cuddling.’

A vein throbbed on Huo Jingyuan’s forehead. His gaze was scorching as he bit out each word, "Are you messing with me on purpose?"

’Teasing me like this but only giving me half an hour.’

"Of course I’m not."

"Hmph. Women."

Huo Jingyuan’s tone was like that of a wronged newlywed, his brow furrowed as he put on a pitiful look.

_

Half an hour later, Wen Yaozu finished his homework and came out, looking thrilled.

"Sis, I finished my homework! Let’s hurry and go eat at the state-run restaurant."

The words were barely out of his mouth when he saw a pile of money on the table in front of the sofa, including plenty of large ten-yuan bills.

Wen Yaozu’s eyes widened. "Sis, is this all the money you’ve earned recently?"

Wen Ci nodded.

’On the first day, the soldiers from the logistics department had recorded how many pounds she sold, so she had a good idea of her earnings.’

’On the second day, she wasn’t sure how much she’d made at the market. It had been too crowded and chaotic to count the money.’

Wen Yaozu looked thrilled. "Sis, how about I drop out of school? I can be your helper."

At his words, Wen Ci slowly lifted her gaze. Her eyes narrowed, and a palpable killing intent radiated from her.

"What did you say?"

"I said..."

"Hmm?"

Wen Yaozu was about to repeat himself when he heard the rising lilt in her voice. His eyes met his sister Wen Ci’s, which were filled with murderous intent, and he immediately snapped his mouth shut.

Seeing him shut his mouth obediently, Wen Ci took out a one-yuan bill and handed it to him. "This is your allowance. You can spend it however you want, but you can’t use it to buy food."

"Thanks, Sis!"

Wen Yaozu clutched the one-yuan bill. He had to pay for meals at school, and since he lived on campus, he didn’t really have any pocket money.

’It was just that his parents would bring him good things to eat.’

He frowned as he stared at the huge sum of allowance money in his hand. "Besides food, I can’t really think of anything else I want to buy."
