Chapter 365: Chapter 366 Give Me Genevieve

Christina’s POV

Hudson pulled out a stunning blue crystal and dropped it in my palm.

"It’s a powerful anesthetic. If you’re in trouble, use it. One drop will knock most people out."

I studied the small blue vial. It sparkled in the light, looking like jewelry rather than a weapon.

"He’s giving us weapons," Akira observed approvingly.

"The case is flexible," Hudson continued. "When empty, you can take it apart and reassemble it as a blade."

With practiced movements, he took an empty one apart and fitted the pieces together into a thin, clear dagger. Light caught its edges, making it shimmer dangerously.

Hudson grabbed my wrist before I could touch it. "It’s razor-sharp. You’ll get cut."

To show me, he lightly dragged the tip across the glass coffee table. It left a deep scratch on the surface.

I muttered, "Holy shit." That could’ve been my finger.

Hudson took the dagger apart and reassembled it as a bottle. Then he threaded the crystal onto a red cord, tying it around my wrist as a bracelet.

It looked delicate and innocent. No one would guess it was a life-saving weapon.

Still...

He’d gone to all this trouble to arm me, but wouldn’t say a word about punishing Genevieve. Was this his way of making it up to me?

My thoughts vanished when Hudson shifted on the bed. Suddenly I was on my back, his body over mine. His mouth crashed down on mine, stealing my breath and scattering my thoughts.

I kissed him back desperately, wrapping my arms around his neck. He was as lost as I was, and my response was like gasoline on fire.

Hudson pulled away, breathing hard. He leaned over me, arms on either side, eyes dark with desire.

I pushed against his chest, switching our positions. Now I was on top, in control.

I traced a circle on his shirt. "This is a hospital. Kind of public, don’t you think?"

Hudson’s eyes darkened. "Private room. No one’s coming in. Guards are outside."

I could feel his desire. I wanted him just as much.

But...

I leaned in, licked the edge of his lip, then bit down hard. Before he could react, I jumped off the bed and ran to the bathroom.

I yelled through the door, laughing, "Doctor’s orders! No sex during first trimester!"

I heard him growl through the door.

***

When I woke up, it was afternoon, and Hudson was gone.

My stomach growled with hunger, and I slowly sat up, wincing at the ache throughout my body. When I got out of bed, my legs shook so badly I almost collapsed.

My face burned as last night’s memories flooded back. I muttered, "That possessive wolf. Could he have been gentler?"

"You weren’t complaining last night, " Akira teased.

I went through my morning routine, then took a long, hot bath.

I left the bathroom to find Hudson changing.

He wore trousers and was buttoning his shirt. Everything he did seemed effortlessly powerful.

He heard me and turned, a knowing smile on his lips.

I asked, "When did you get back?"

He said, "Just now. Get changed. I’m taking you out."

"Where to?"

"To deal with something that irritates us both."

Instead of explaining, he said, "Wear something with a high neck."

He finished buttoning up and left.

Alone, I understood what he meant. I touched my neck, face burning with embarrassment.

The mirror showed everything clearly: bruises trailing from neck to shoulders, proof of how thoroughly he’d marked me last night.

I chose a long-sleeved, high-necked dress with small flowers on white. I added a matching hat.

When I was ready, Hudson nodded approvingly at my outfit.

"Want to eat first?"

"No. I was too curious about where we were going."

Hudson took my hand. "Let’s go then."

I never would have guessed Hudson was taking me to the pack’s old house. His father and stepmother still lived there.

We’d been in the living room only a minute when Gwendolyn Laurent came downstairs.

She stopped at the bottom, keeping her distance. "Hudson, what a surprise. You should have called."

She tried to sound confident, but her voice trembled.

Hudson refused flatly, "No need. This isn’t a social call. Give me Genevieve."

Gwendolyn feigned confusion. "Genevieve? What Genevieve?" but her eyes darted guiltily upstairs.

Hudson followed her gaze, expression hardening. He told Harry, "Go get her."

Harry nodded and gestured for two guards to follow. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

Gwendolyn blocked their path. "What do you think you’re doing?"

Hudson didn’t answer, just gave Harry a cold look.

Harry said, "My apologies, Mrs. Laurent," then walked around her and went upstairs.

Panic crossed her face, but she stayed silent.

Soon, Harry brought down a struggling Genevieve.

"Let me go! What are you doing?" Genevieve cried, looking wildly for Gwendolyn. "Mrs. Laurent, I’m pregnant with your grandson! Help me!"

Gwendolyn whirled on Harry. "Let her go right now!"

Harry didn’t respond, looking to Hudson instead.

"Her grandson?" Hudson sneered. "I didn’t know Gwendolyn had another son besides Declan. Or is it Declan’s baby?"

Genevieve’s face showed pure panic. "Hudson, how could you say that? You know this is your child!"

"My child?" He gave a short, mocking laugh, then gestured to Harry. "Remove it and we’ll see whose child it really is."

"Hudson, stop! I won’t allow this brutality!" Gwendolyn was clearly alarmed. Desperately, she lunged forward and grabbed Harry’s arm.

Harry immediately let Genevieve go and stepped back, moving away from Gwendolyn.

He looked to Hudson for direction.
