Chapter 1813: Chapter 1812 - A Different Kind of Seclusion
Lind had a few surprises when he came home. It seemed Pelia had gone through some kind of transformation. She wanted to resolve her body issues so she could cultivate properly.
He had been waiting for more time to pass and for her to feel comfortable being free before putting her under for another procedure. He had been long prepared though.
At his level, he had not only examined her but done what repairs he could safely in her delicate state previously. As such, he had accessed his records and found a few bloodline types that could be safely fused to her current body.
He took a full month to prepare and the actual procedure took almost 2 days. Whether everything would turn out correctly was similar to Ryl actually. He was unable to fully determine what was fused to her originally, only gauge its reaction to new bloodlines.
Reptile, insect, and generally non-mammilian species were dangerous. Divine bloodlines could override most issues but she was just too weak to handle any of them. Given her current state, he considered Ryl’s own bloodline but that seemed to be rejected due to its draconic power.
He ended up with a mix of tiger variations as they had the best result. He was aiming for her to have her body back with no pain any longer. Feline bloodlines were highly resilient without the risks of other species that have high regenerative abilities.
She did well and went into a year long recovery with an adjustment period. She actually looked more human now yet her hair had taken on the fur characteristics of beasts. Once the body settled, she may have more appear but it would still only be partial.
Qing and her team would be able to do far better care at that point.
Ryl then became an issue as he was ready to resume wandering the countryside. The young Dusk Grypwolf was excited to head out and Lind sighed as it was time for him to learn wandering was not all there was to life.
Also, Shatterheart had revealed Ryl had a stunning capacity to learn during her brief training stint. So, he instead explained to Ryl that he would be getting formally trained in the Blessed Crimson Range.
Everything from Harmonic Dragons to Shoti would ensure to delve into the depths of the Dusk Grypwolf potential.
[PACKLEADER COME PLAY TOO?!] The words had thundered in his head as Shoti led him away. Lind knew it was time for Ryl to separate for a time for other reasons than his training.
Even mortal pack animals eventually had to let the young face the world on their own when they thought they were ready.
Once those 2 were settled, he thought to enter seclusion to truly digest the facet he had grasped as well as to go after the remaining 2. Yet, the instant he tried to meditate, he felt something off.
It was like the Tapestry Layer was empty.
He had been feeling like progress was flowing forward to only suddenly be back at a bottleneck! He emerged after a few days and the instant he began interacting with the world it all came flooding back!
Such a stark change made it clear. His current Mystery would not come to him in isolation. Still, he did not think just living would work either. freewebnσvel.cøm
The times it was the most intense was saving Pelia and bonding with Ryl. As he considered them, they both fell under the first facet.
{All bonds weave the pattern}
It seemed to have truly been born with Ryl and solidified when he added Pelia to the pack. Yet, the intent seemed too narrow if that was true. It felt far more powerful in the moment.
As he picked apart the pack bond, he felt progress as he was unaware he was walking the corridors. His feet moved and while he passed many people, none could see him!
Lind was walking in two worlds without realizing it!
Only 2 beings sensed the change but one was recovering so could not parse it out among all the other issues with her body. The other was not allowed to investigate and could not find the words to express what he was feeling.
Lind was walking until he came to a door. Normally, the formations or weavings would react to his presence yet now nothing happened and he walked right through them! The open doorway was the only reason he was not snapped out of the trance.
The very air, stalks of grass, pebbles, or anything that could impede his steps seemed to magically avoid him. No one even noticed he had left seclusion despite moving through the complex.
He eventually made his way down into the city and began to walk every road. There were alleys, bridges, and even simple ladders to get around obstructions! None of it even registered and his feet adjusted his balance as if it was part of him breathing.
Eventually, after exhausting the city, he began to walk the range. His strange state went on for months and then years!
Despite his courtyard being open and exposed as empty, it was as if something hid him from the world.
His perspective, on the other hand, was like a sponge. He was following the fully realized facet and it was leading him to something. He felt the connections from the lowest Soul Realm to the highest Master Tier were more powerful than anyone realized.
He had done an impossible thing that if asked to do it again, he highly doubted it would be possible. The raiding of the Veridian Bone Sect found sad corpses almost disposed of as some had suspected an attack was coming.
Those that had been caught had been crippled instantly and were being punished severely under Fey. Those that had not killed their pseudo-thralls, had to be quickly isolated as they were carefully disconnected.
If done properly, the actual thing done to them would keep them alive as they descended to the Heaven Realm Lands for their own safety. The Moebius Sect with the Heavenly Maiden Sect were taking care of that process for him in the lower realms.
They would have a long life ahead of them and would be allowed to decide how they lived or died.
Even that event, was connected. Everything was connected no matter how distant someone thought they would be. A simple act of kindness or cruelty spreads outwards. Whether it is actively halted locally did not stop the effects!
Finally, after nearly 50 years of walking, Lind seemed to emerge from the trance to find himself in the heart of a forest. The trees had nearly black bark all around him and it was high summer based on the humid heat around him.
The sounds of nature flooded him and he smiled as his Eyes shimmered.
Only his Mystery Eyes had changed. Unlike his other Talents, he has used them from the earliest days to pierce the world beyond the visible surface to all. Now, he saw some kind of very faint connections.
He could not touch them, but he could see them. They were not like actual thread as the colors varied even changed as he looked. Unlike his traces that were built with intent to connect sigils, these connections felt more fragile and more powerful.
"I see." He felt enlightened and then his head nearly split as a new amount of knowledge slammed into his skull.
{All bonds weave the pattern} The words thundered in him and he grasped much more. It was easy to say but the actual concept behind it was massive. All life and death created a pattern beyond just survival.
The man that saved a wolf in winter could suddenly find his life spared from a bear when a pack saves him in the summer. A child gives half their bread to a starving man and a powerful cultivator comes to take the child under his tutelage as he had found his brother barely alive due to that act.
It would be such extremes or even just a greeting. No one knew the effect or power of an act until much later, if at all. He had gone to the Northern Continent and stumbled on a rare issue of an egg covered in incompatible bloodlines. A dying Master Tier bear had taught him a pack was not so simple. Ryl had made a new species and he had found a demonic princess echoing the old life of his wife Cyntilla.
It had led to revelations of a darkness hiding in the shadows and it seemed so random or fated but it was neither. Each step led to the next but only by his choice.
He could have walked away and Ryl would never have been born. He could have dismissed the battle maniac and made her face her inevitable death. He had nearly walked away from the demoness entirely until the magic words were heard.
He could have squashed the entire Veridian Bone sect without investigation but the effects were just as dire. An entire species was never born, Luxor may have destroyed an entire swath of the Northern Continent, and such bloodthirsty actions would have likely spurred others to be as vindictive.
He highly suspected the energy of his choices had flowed together to make saving Pelia possible. Karma existed and he now felt closer to how it was decided.
The pain passed and he realized how horrifying powerful just one facet was. He was about to head home when a random thought passed through his mind.
What would have happened if Karu could not reset time?
He coughed up blood as his body felt like something slammed into him and his vision doubled. He recognized the feeling! He had accidentally triggered another facet!
{A single thread can bind it all}
