Archie Lockwood hung up before Eleanor Bishop could finish. He stared at his home in the distance, his gaze dark and cold, and ordered sharply, "Howard, turn the car around. We’re going home!"

Howard Rhodes got out, walked over to Archie’s side, and opened the car door.
He swung his long legs out of the car and walked slowly toward the mother and daughter.
Rory clung to Eleanor’s neck, her big, round eyes fixed on the man without blinking.
Howard Rhodes shut the car door and hurried over, pulling out a key to unlock the main entrance to the villa.

Swallowing her unease, Eleanor Bishop followed close behind Archie Lockwood.

Archie Lockwood strode to the sofa and sat down. He lifted his icy gaze to Eleanor Bishop. "So, what did you want to talk about?"
