Chapter 157: Astronaut

Ray had too many skills to train on if he wanted to excel in his talents, yet he had no time for such luxury. He had six months for a way to kill the king of silence, yet he needed years and years of training. The answer came to him when he thought of parasite; he certainly stayed on a planet where time ran slower. Time itself didn’t matter without resources to level up usually; however, he needed only time.

Going to space was an easy task for him, yet surviving on a bare planet with no life form was the hard part. Unlike Mars, Mercury had nothing for a human worth exploring, long days that could burn one human, and nights that froze to death.

Base stats only meant how strong he was; it barely had anything to do with his durability, which made the environment perfect for him to increase his physical conditions while training his magic.

After nearly 40 years, Ray faced a wall of yellow flames; Cindi had magic covering her eyes. She only looked inside the orb, yet Ray didn’t mind as he looked at the glorious sight from up close. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

"Separate yourself from me." Ray walked to the edge near the burning wall. "What type of weapon do you use?"

"Spears!" Cindi stepped as far as she could from him, observing each of his movements.

Sun used fusion to produce energy; unlike the star that he met before, he only could extract flame or fusion magic from the sun; for star magic, he needed to maintain a big source of fuel for it.

"Essence of the world."

Seeing the strings of the sun near the surface, so little fusion magic existed. Starting to tunnel them inside the cage, the burns started to appear.

If he wanted to tame the magic with his own emotions, the weapon would have been tightened to him, like Crimson Star. Instead of that, his devil magic shaped a long spear in front of him. As the devil itself, his devil magic had a hunger for any magic outside of his body; the bloods of fear and hunger stabilized it inside of his body, but the outside world was different.

All the magic that he pulled inside was swallowed by the dark spear; he had to increase the tunneling to stop it from hurting the defenses around him.

"Now, the main ingredient!" Six bloody hands grew from his waist, each working on one part of the weapon, replacing the devil magic with his own diamond blood, giving it a physical form, while three other six hands fused the two magic together, with the stronger one being the fusion magic.

The task needed much more time as Ray’s hands worked with precision behind the levels of any human-made bridges between the two magics; he constantly destroyed his magic and replaced it, making it as thin as possible to the point that it could affect the strings of magic.

Cindi watched the process with her jaw dropped. "His tools are helping him a lot, but this amount of talent..."

Time passed as Ray continued his craft; minutes turned into hours while Ray stayed focused on the spear. With its true form made out of red diamond with flames burning inside of it, it was one of the most beautiful weapons that he had ever created.

"What are those cracks?" Cindi asked with enthusiasm, having that weapon had its own benefits for her.

"That, my love, is the gift for your help." After another hour, only the tip of the spear remained. Creating half of its blade at the top, Ray watched the cracks that led to the blade.

Before he was pure magic, it couldn’t exist seconds outside of his body. Watching the amazement in Cindi’s blue eyes, destruction magic purred out of his body, filling the gaps between the sparks, sparkling a red light in the right side of the blade. With the diamonds being from his body, pure magic could easily be tied to them, and the one magic he had mimicked before was the most useful one in a weapon.

"It’s ready." Taking a deep breath, he let the spear float in the air while he sat to catch his breath.

With long steps, Cindi caught the spear in her hands; its weight was higher than usual spears.

"It matches the color of your hair." Ray cleaned the sweat on his forehead; even after so much preparation, he had used more than half of his magic, his whole pure magic, and his devil magic. "Name it, and you can see its attributes."

"You will fall off the red star." The spear shined in her hands as it got absorbed into her system.

Weapon: Fall of the red star

Rarity: Mythical

Passive: Doubles any flame’s strength, Storm of Destruction

Level: Unkown

"It’s comparable to my main weapon..." Cindi couldn’t believe the amount of power it gave; it buffed all of her attacks without even being used. "Can you make Aria’s weapon too?"

"With the amount that she was going to pay, I will make a simpler one for her; just let me catch my breath."

"Join the Starblaize squad."

"Already declined."

"Everything has a price."

Ray said with a smile, "I will think about it."

"After that we will go to Mercury again?" Cindi wanted to return to Mars as soon as possible after the news of his crafting skill took over the whole of Mars; she wanted to be the first person in line.

"Yes, but it will take around a day at best; everything is set in motion already."

Taking one hand to play with her hair, she asked the main question on her mind: "You crafted this one in return for my help; what is your price for another one?"

Thinking for a second, Ray still had many needs before becoming an immortal. "Any blood artifact is accepted; for the price, how about 5 million dark crystals?"

"I will pay 15 million; in return, after Aria, you wouldn’t make any weapon with this method for anyone else."

"Deal." Ray took it with no hesitation; it was enough for him to reach the wall of level 10 and max out his abilities. "Now, let me finish this one."

He started the process again, but instead of his devil magic, from the beginning he used his diamond blood. As a result, it had way lower fusion magic inside of it, and repeating the steps only took him half of the time.

"Can you send this to her?" Ray watched the red longbow in front of him; it barely touched the limits of what a mythical weapon was capable of. Nonetheless, its powers could be immense.

"Yeah. Do you want to go to Earth first? Now, a company wouldn’t be bad."

It took one week for both of his magics to replenish completely. Understanding her implication, he let his plans stay for later. "Why not?"
