Chapter 162: Chapter 162: Mission Complete
After leaving the black market they appeared in the forest of dancing trees. Gratavellorytorra and her partner didn’t stop.
They ran for nearly an entire day but eventually they reached their designation where they met up with Alex and the other two.
" We were told to meet you here and you’ll lead us to the target." She spoke and Alex nodded.
" Follow me." He led them to the targets, unfortunately they were still in their hotel room.
They waited the entire night and early morning the four targets came out. Alex stopped the ogres from attacking.
" We’re still inside the city, if you attack now, you’ll be detained and the mission will certainly fail."
They nodded, " Thank you." Ogres were known to be impulsive brutes who act before they think.
They waited and watched, four more days passed and eventually the targets showed signs of leaving the city.
Even Alex had been fed up with waiting. He informed the ogres and they followed the four targets out of the city.
A few hours of trailing, Gratavellorytorra finally had enough. " It’s time, we should act now."
They were deep in the desert that bordered the city. The heavy sandstorm helped to hide their large frames.
However before they could act, their targets stopped. " Are you not going to come out? you have been following us for a while now after all."
" We’ve been had." She told her partner and they stopped hiding. The old man smiled at them.
" To what do we owe these two friends of the ogre race? If I remember correctly, there’s no malice between our two races."
The honest truth was that he was nervous, two level 3 orges were more than he can handle.
His subordinates were only at level 2 and they were not particularly strong. ’ I should’ve expected they would send somebody.
I just didn’t think it would be ogres, how did they even manage to convince ogres who look down so much on weaker races?’
He couldn’t figure it out but that didn’t matter now. He knew exactly why they were here and he had no intentions of giving it up.
" Give us the artefact and we’ll be on our way, nobody needs to die." Gratavellorytorra suggested.
" Hahaha, how noble of you but for one of your kind to not want to fight is strange, this just makes me confident in fighting you."
Gratavellorytorra sighed, " Thinking we’re all the same will get you killed, well no matter, I gave you a chance."
" Truly strange, you’re a female, shouldn’t your husband be the leader here? Isn’t that the practice amongst your people?"
Gratavellorytorra took off her fur coat and threw it on the ground. Her lean grey muscles became visible.
The two horns on her forehead glistened like daggers pointing to the sky. " Again, your preconceived notion of our race will be your downfall.
Disregarding the fact that even the weakest females of our kind is more than a wench like you can handle.
I’m nothing like the others and you’ll have to learn that the hard way." A greyish aura appeared on her boots.
A red aura on her gauntlet. Then she moved, wind surrounded her legs increasing her speed.
Boom, a sonic booms spresd out sending sand through the air like a bomb had gone off.
The old man acted, a scorpion tail appeared behind him and stabbed at her. She punched the tail sending it reeling to the side.
But its force diverted her fist causing her to miss. BOOOOOM, the air shattered around her fist.
A cone shaped shockwave spread out in front of her. She kicked, her leg moved so fast it turned into a blur.
Just as it was about to hit the old man another tail suddenly appeared and blocked the kick.
The old men was sent flying dozens of metres away. He stood up and coughed up sand in his mouth.
Gratavellorytorra jumped back and landed next to her partner. " He must be of royalty to have two tails.
If he uses that artefact, dealing with him will not as easy. Get ready Barragannietorg."
He nodded and pulled out a massive axe from his back. As expected, the old man took out the artefact.
But what he did next, even the two of them did not expect. His tails lashed and in a blink of eye he killed the other three unsuspecting subordinates.
When they died, the transformation ability Fayera use to hide their true forms disappeared.
This was one of the reasons the organisation acted very quickly when Fayera fought.
When they died, their true nature comes to light. The only change to those three was that they grew scorpion tails and antenna.
Then the old man ripped out their tails and took out a sack from each of them. This was their venom sack.
Each Scapra had one, it was their most powerful weapon. He poured all their venom on the artefact.
The bronze scorpion became pitch black and emitted a feeling of dread. Hiding far away, Alex saw this.
’ Should I act?’ he asked himself but chose not to, unless the ogres were in real danger, he should sit back and watch.
The old man stabbed himself in the heart with the scorpion artefact and a black aura surrounded him.
"Yes yes yes, this is it, this is the power that was meant to be mine and now, I have it back, I have it all back hahaha!"
He started laughing and his body started changing. He transformed into a scorpion over 8 metres long not counting the tails. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
Speaking of tails, be grew two more and now had four tails that danced behind him like hungry serpents.
Gratavellorytorra’s face grew grim then she felt a large hand on her shoulder. She looked up and saw her man looking at her with gentle reassuring eyes.
She smiled softly and leaned in on his hand. Then he stood in front of her, his broad shoulder brought her comfort.
Gratavellorytorra had suspicions about her partner but she didn’t voice them but she knew.
His strength, did not match his name at all, he was much much stronger. Ogres didn’t have a ranking system like vampires did.
However even on the same level, there was still a difference in strength between ogre. She sat down and watched.
He gripped his axe with a single hand then he attacked. BOOOOOM, the ground shook like a bomb had gone off.
The sand rose to the sky for dozens of metres and a tsunami of sand cane crashing down on her.
Before it could tough her, she felt thick arms wrap themselves around her protectively.
