Chapter 519: Chapter 48: Origins and Speculations (Double-Length) (2)

Returning to the colorfully chaotic void, looking back, that green plane still quietly floats.

However, the "frizzy" squirming on its barrier surface has calmed significantly, only occasionally still sending out subtle energy ripples, like a giant baby who has just finished crying and is still sobbing.

Viola spreads the shield, incorporating the soul state Starfall within it, floating together with Jeming in the void.

Soon, the four returned to the battleship.

The battleship has restored its stable ecological cycle system, with fresh air and soft light inside the cabin, forming a stark contrast with the chaotic void outside.

Clark, Viola, Jeming, and the soul state Starfall sit around in a simple lounge, the atmosphere no longer tense as before.

The experiences of the Starfall Wizard were briefly summarized before: the activation experiment was successful, but the flesh was "digested" by the plane, and the soul was stabilized and rescued by Clark in time.

The focus naturally shifted to Professor Clark.

Clark remained in his usual expressionless demeanor, picked up the hot drink brought by the mechanical body, and simply said: "I didn’t do anything special. Located the laboratory, detected internal energy anomalies and the rapid weakening of the Starfall soul signal, broke through the barrier, and at her critical point of assimilation, cut the link and brought her out. That’s all."

He spoke lightly, as if he had merely retrieved something misplaced at a neighbor’s house.

But the three understood that in the chaotic environment of plane activation and newborn thought rejection, precise location, violent breakthrough, and safe rescue each required unimaginable skill, judgment, and absolute control over the risks.

Clark paused, his gaze sweeping over Viola and Jeming, continuing: "After rescuing Starfall and understanding the specific situation of this plane activation, I realized that my intrusion, although necessary, was the worst stimulus for that newborn consciousness—like a powerful stranger suddenly breaking into the nursery and taking away what it vaguely identified as a ’mother’."

He looked at Viola, giving a rare, clear affirmation: "Fortunately, Viola, you maintained enough calm and restraint outside, not launching a destructive attack due to the plane’s stress reaction, and your timely adjustment to the binding strategy."

"Otherwise, under internal and external pressure, even if I could bring out Starfall, this newborn plane consciousness might collapse completely or become uncontrollably violent in extreme panic and aggression, with unpredictable results."

Upon hearing the mentor’s praise, Viola was initially stunned, then a rare, unnatural blush crept up her face, her gaze began to wander, and her fingers unconsciously twisted together.

Clark, being such a person, immediately saw through her guilty expression.

The eyebrow under his gray robe twitched imperceptibly, his eyes flashed a hint of understanding, then turned his gaze to the always steady Jeming sitting next to Viola.

"I see." Clark’s voice remained calm, but within it was a clear note of praise, "It was Jeming who persisted, judged that the plane consciousness was not malicious, only scared, and persuaded you to change the strategy, right?"

Jeming slightly bowed: "The student just provided a perspective of observation; the final decision and meticulous execution were all thanks to the senior sister."

"Well done." Clark nodded, a simple three-word evaluation representing his high appraisal.

"Exactly!" The Starfall Wizard immediately floated to Jeming’s side, a translucent hand mockingly patting Jeming’s shoulder, wearing a face of shared glory.

"Little Jeming is reliable at critical moments! So calm and sharp, much stronger than certain reckless individuals who almost blasted my ’child’ and us sky-high!"

"Who are you calling reckless?! Starfall, you soul-only bastard!" Viola instantly flared up.

The slight guilt and awkwardness from earlier vanished into thin air, she sprang up from her seat, clawing at Starfall’s soul:

"Do you know how much military merits I spent on your mess this time?! Do you know how desperate I was when I saw the Binding Array about to collapse?! I put in all my heart power, was nervous and fearful, and you call me reckless?!"

Starfall agilely dodged while laughingly retorting: "Oh, can’t let people speak the truth? If it weren’t for Little Jeming holding you back, wouldn’t your Annihilation Beam have been blasted over? Reckless! Just reckless!"

The two (or rather one person and one soul) actually began chasing and play-fighting in the lounge.

Jeming sat still, calmly accepting Professor Clark’s praise amid the chaos, sipping his drink undisturbed.

Jeming also felt that the praise he received was well deserved, after all, these results came from his hard work and efforts.

"Enough."

Clark’s calm voice rang out, not loud, but carrying an undeniable authority.

The "fighting" Viola and Starfall simultaneously froze, quickly separating. Viola adjusted her Mage Robe, and Starfall altered the soul light effect as if pretending to adjust, then the two obediently returned to their seats.

Viola took several deep breaths, making an effort to calm her emotions, bringing the topic back on track, she looked at Starfall, her expression turning serious again: "Alright, enough fooling around. Starfall, what’s your current situation exactly? What specific plans do you have next?"

Discussing serious matters, Starfall also collected the playful expression, an excitement glowing on the soul body’s face: "My theory has been perfectly validated! Activating a plane and pushing the Spiritual Law toward the path of creating life is feasible! Although I’ve lost my body this time, my soul not only remained intact with Clark Wizard’s help, it actually gained a deeper understanding of the essence of spirituality and material transformation through the complete ’fusion—separation’ process! This is definitely the key opportunity for my promotion to the Seventh Level!"
