Chapter 518: Chapter 448: Cause and Assumptions (Double-Length)

"Good for nothing!"

Viola’s anger burned like tangible flames, fiercely ablaze in her eyes.

She instantly rushed to the Starfall Wizard, completely ignoring the translucent and ethereal soul form of the opponent, raised her hand, and gave Starfall a fierce slap on the head.

Although her palm passed through the illusory hair, the intense psychic shock and anger attached to it were solidly conveyed.

"How can you be alright?! Where’s your body?! Where did it go?! What kind of foolish thing have you done?!!" Viola’s roar echoed in the vast and chaotic laboratory, causing the surviving instruments around to hum.

"Ouch!"

The Starfall Wizard let out an exaggerated cry of pain, clearly in soul form, yet was still knocked off balance by the slap, the whole "person" swayed back and forth, and actually fell with a ’plop’ onto a relatively intact lab table below.

The ethereal, unworldly soul quality collapsed instantly.

She floated up awkwardly from the ground, rubbed the nonexistent back of her head, with a mixed expression of embarrassment and guilty conscience on her face.

"Well...ahem, played too much, accidentally messed up." Starfall’s voice was still crisp, but lost the ethereal echo, gaining a bit of a down-to-earth, ingratiating tone.

"In the final stage of activating the living plane, the intensity of spiritual backlash exceeded my most optimistic estimate... The physical body couldn’t withstand it, was ’digested’ into starter fuel and foundational framework."

"Thanks to Wizard Clark arriving in time, forcefully stabilizing my soul core and helping me sort out the link with this newborn plane consciousness, otherwise this time might really have crashed, turned entirely into the ’built-in intelligent management system’ of this big silly entity or simply assimilated."

She floated over to Clark, striking a ’relying on the big boss’ pose.

Then turned to Viola and Jeming, trying hard to appear relaxed, "But now everything is really fine! Although temporarily without a body, my soul core is intact, consciousness clear, not dissipated on the spot, there’s plenty of ways afterward to reshape the body or transform existence form. Moreover, this experience has made my understanding of ’spirituality’, ’material transformation’, and ’plane life form’ increase tremendously! Blessing in disguise, found a more fitting pathway for Seventh Level..."

"Shut up!" Viola angrily raised her hand again.

"Viola."

Professor Clark’s calm voice sounded, not loud, yet like a bucket of ice-cold water, instantly extinguished Viola’s raging anger.

His gaze under the grey robe calmly swept over Viola, "Your emotional fluctuations just stimulated it again."

Jeming also sensed something strange.

In the moment when Viola was enraged and spiritual power stirred violently, the entire laboratory and outside produced a clear chain reaction.

The atmosphere sent a wave of uneasy tremor, like a giant stone cast into a tranquil lake.

In the distance, through the broken walls and dome of the laboratory, the outline of the continuous mountains showed subtle yet distinct shaking.

The ground beneath emitted a low and vague humming, as if some enormous presence twitched unnervingly.

Silently watching here, treating Starfall as "mother" or "creator", the living plane consciousness was evidently seriously startled by Viola’s aggressive and angry spiritual eruption, feeling threatened and discomforted.

Viola’s body stiffened, she instantly realized the potential consequences her anger might bring.

She abruptly closed her eyes, her chest heaving sharply a few times, then took a long deep breath and slowly exhaled.

When she opened her eyes again, the anger in her eyes was forcibly suppressed, leaving only suppressed worry and lingering fear.

"Sorry." She whispered, her voice a bit hoarse.

Clark nodded slightly, his gaze turned to the outside window at the mountains and rivers not yet completely calmed by consciousness fluctuations: "It’s just born, clumsily learning to control its massive body and power, highly sensitive to external stimuli. This place is not suitable for a lengthy stay or intense discussion. Let’s leave here first."

Starfall, Viola, and Jeming had no objections.

The Starfall Wizard floated to the center of the laboratory, gently pressed with both hands in mid-air, as if sensing something, then nodded toward a certain direction.

Soon, a passage edged with soft green light appeared out of nowhere from their location, extending straight to beyond the plane barrier.

This was a "safe passage" opened by the living plane consciousness, actively guided by Starfall.

Before leaving, the Starfall Wizard floated to a broken gap on the edge of the laboratory, bent down, reached out a translucent hand, softly hovering over the exposed rocky ground below.

Her expression was gentle and regretful, murmuring a few inaudible words.

As if understanding her whispers, a deep yet rich rumble came from deep within the earth.

The rumble wasn’t violent, instead, it had a hint of attachment and reassurance, like a giant beast making a "got it" rumble from its throat.

The tiny tremor throughout the plane caused by Viola’s anger gradually calmed down in this rumble.

"Be good, we’ll be back soon," Starfall last said gently, then turned, following Clark, Viola, and Jeming, together flying into that green passage.

Inside the passage, streams of light flowed magnificently, filled with gentle life energy.

As they approached, the plane barrier, like a living water membrane, softly parted to both sides, forming a neat circular exit, "sending" them out.
