As they entered the room, Zhuang Yanyan hiding in the shadows secretly giggled, slipping quietly into her own room.

Seems she can truly be at ease now, thinking of her deceased eldest son and daughter-in-law, she couldn’t help but shed tears.

"What’s wrong with you?"

Leaning against the headboard, Qin Guozhong was reading a thick book, noticing his wife’s distracted and unusual face, he couldn’t help but put down the book, looking at her with concern.

Zhuang Yanyan took a deep breath, "Nothing, let’s sleep."

Staring at his wife, Qin Guozhong seemed to guess that she was probably missing her son and daughter-in-law.

"Let’s sleep." He patted her back, guiding her to lie down.

Feng Jinglei, having showered, wrapped herself tightly in a thick plush pajama set, opened the door, poked her head out to stealthily check the bedroom.

Noticing the empty room, void of Qin Feimo’s presence, she sighed with relief, and swiftly ran to the large bed, flipping the quilt over to dive directly in.

Snuggled in the bedding, she planned to fall asleep first, so even if Qin Feimo returned to the room, she wouldn’t feel uneasy or nervous.

She paused her movements, turning her head to see Qin Feimo returning.

"We have to get up early tomorrow, let’s go to bed early."

"Mm." She nodded, cautiously shrinking herself into the warm covers.

Then she heard the quiet footsteps pacing in the room, followed shortly by the sound of the bathroom door opening and closing.

She poked her head out from under the quilt, indeed seeing Qin Feimo already in the bathroom.
