Chapter 199: No Need to Hold Back

I wondered where this journey would end up taking me...

Now that Ren is properly seated, I guess I should go and look around the house. Since I left in a hurry, maybe there are some things here that I should take back with me. First, I should check the bedroom.

“I’m just going to look around. You can stay here if you want,” I told Ren as I got up from my seat.

Ren watched me silently as I headed towards the bedroom. The bedroom still looks the same. It was also less dusty than the living room, probably because the windows were closed properly, and it was at the back of the house. I started looking around and soon I was absorbed in my own thoughts that I didn’t realize it at first when Ren came up behind me.

“Do you remember when we first met?” Ren asked from directly behind me.

“Thank you for saving my life back then, Rin,” Ren said before he smiled gently at me.

“No...it’s nothing. I’m sure everyone would have done the same...” I said feeling suddenly very embarrassed.

“I don’t think so. Not everyone is kind enough to help a poor-looking and wounded stranger that’s laying in the middle of the snow,” Ren stated firmly.

Putting it that way, perhaps, he was right...

However, for me, it felt like the most obvious thing to do. I did that for him, but honestly, I would have done the same for anyone.

“I would. If I can help, then I’ll help. It’s what my father taught me to do...” I said proudly.

“Didn’t your father teach you to never bring a stranger into your house? Especially if that stranger was a man? That perhaps he might take advantage of you and have his way with you?” Ren asked as his eyes darkened.

Seeing that I was silent and struggling to find a comeback, Ren laughed softly.

“I guess he didn’t. Helping other people is fine, but you should never put yourself at risk,” Ren warned.

“Well...in the end, nothing happened, and it turned out alright...” I said in my own defense.

“That’s because you were lucky that that man was me. Although you probably don’t know how tempted I was when I saw how completely defenseless you were...” Ren said, sounding slightly displeased.

“What? You...” I gasped in shock as my eyes widened at him.

Ren...had those thoughts even back then? I felt heat rushing to my cheeks as I thought about it. Reflecting on it, it really was like we were living together for the week that he was here. I just never thought about that...

Ren pulled me by the wrist towards him and I almost bumped into him. I looked up at him and our eyes met. There was an unmistakable look of desire in his captivating brown eyes as he looked down at me.

“I guess I don’t have to hold back anymore this time...” Ren whispered seductively before his head dipped down to nibble softly on my ear.

My entire body shivered, and it wasn’t from the slight cold in the small house. Taking my chin in between his fingertips, Ren bent his head down and kissed my lips. It started off as such a sweet kiss before his tongue probed and entered my mouth. I heard myself whimper softly as his tongue teased my own and our kiss deepened. He continued kissing me passionately as he slowly backed me towards the bed.

I felt the softness of the mattress behind my knees before I was gently pushed onto the bed. I closed my eyes as I let Ren take over my body and soul. Laying on the bed, I couldn’t see anything except for Ren as he hovered over me. We’re slept together in this room before when I first healed his injured arm. I could still remember those days that we spent together.

Ren kissed me ardently and I moaned into his mouth before I hugged my arm around his neck, pulling him closer to me. The bed creaked softly under our weight as he moved on top of me. Ren broke our kiss and began kissing and sucking on the side of my neck. I arched my neck to the side to grant him easier access to the sensitive skin of my neck.

His hands quickly moved to undo the sash around my waist before he parted the soft fabric to the side.
