Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Just Coveting His Good Looks

Although she wasn’t pleased with his behavior, Summer Lancaster took the toothbrush anyway. She hopped off the vanity and brushed her teeth furiously. When she finished and came out of the bathroom, she saw that Kenneth Yates had laid a white sweatsuit on the bed. Combined with the one he was wearing, they were a matching set!

"When did you get these?" Summer Lancaster walked over, picked up the clothes, and held them against herself. It was a perfect fit.

"Just now!" freeweɓnovel.cѳm

Summer Lancaster’s hand trembled, and the clothes nearly slipped to the floor. "What? You said just now? Are you kidding me?"

"I had Fletcher get them ready this morning. He just delivered them," Kenneth Yates said, standing up and walking over to Summer Lancaster, backing her into a corner. "What’s wrong? Do you have a problem with it?"

"N-no... You should really give Fletcher a raise. Heh, I’m going to go change!" Summer Lancaster fled into the bathroom as if making an escape. ’If I had to be Kenneth Yates’s assistant, I wouldn’t do it no matter how high the pay. He basically treats people like his personal maids, and he’s so bossy.’

When Summer Lancaster came out after changing, she saw Kenneth Yates leaning against the door, looking extremely impatient and repeatedly checking his watch.

"Does it really take you that long to change? Did you decide to remake the outfit from scratch?" Kenneth Yates grumbled, taking her hand and leading her outside.

Summer Lancaster didn’t say a word, merely covering her mouth to stifle a laugh. ’That’s right,’ she thought. ’I was stalling on purpose. That way, I’d get to run a little less.’ frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

Kenneth Yates ran very fast, and it wasn’t long before Summer Lancaster couldn’t keep up and fell far behind. Seeing that he had no intention of waiting for her, she gave up and just started walking. After all, he was just focused on his own run and wouldn’t be looking back at her.

When Kenneth Yates reached the lake, he turned to look for Summer Lancaster, but she was nowhere in sight. He glanced at his watch; it was getting late, almost time to leave for work. So, he decided to wait for her by the lake.

A moment later, a few college students walked by. Seeing the tall, stylish man standing by the lake, they started chattering amongst themselves.

"Hey, look! He’s so handsome, right? I wish there were guys like him at our school."

Hearing them talking behind him, Kenneth Yates turned to look at them.

"Whoa, his face is absolutely perfect! I’m swooning." The girls stood there, completely smitten.

Just as Summer Lancaster ran up, she overheard one of the girls say, "I’d die to have a boyfriend who looks like that." Following their gaze, she saw the tall, handsome man standing by the lake. Her mischievous streak flared, and she ran to Kenneth Yates’s side, intimately linking her arm with his.

"Honey, why’d you run so fast? I couldn’t keep up at all." Though she was speaking to him, her gaze was fixed on the other girls, shooting daggers at them. Taking the hint, the group of girls beat a hasty retreat, leaving only Summer Lancaster and Kenneth Yates.

"Were you talking to me?" Kenneth Yates asked, noticing how her glare had "escorted" the students away. Summer shot him a look, wrenched her arm free, and turned to head back. "No! I was talking to myself!" Her voice was tinged with a flicker of anger.

"Hey, Summer Lancaster, what are you so mad about?" Kenneth Yates asked, hurrying to catch up with her.

Summer Lancaster stopped in her tracks, struggling to suppress her rage. "You’re asking me? Why didn’t you wait for me during the run? So you could stand here and pick up college girls?"

"I didn’t do anything! Am I not allowed to be looked at just because I’m handsome? You being slow is your problem. Besides, wasn’t I waiting for you right here?" Kenneth Yates’s innocent expression only made Summer Lancaster even more furious.
