More and more smaller villages joined the Borealis Kingdom. It was simply because they offered a much better life in this cold hell. People were dying every day just to survive the cold.

But the Borealis Kingdom was different. No one died. And even more people from outer worlds came to join them. Mainly the Psychics.

Since the moment Mater found out that the Psychics thrived on Chaos and war, he had been constantly giving them that. And with the amount of information they gathered from Valeria, the door to Rank-4 Psychic wasn't that far away anymore.

Crow had given Leslie all the information he found in Vic. The secrets of the GOD Suspension and the key to Rank-4 Psychic. Soon, there would be another Psychic, and that person was about to be Selina.

As for the other Psychics, they were slower. But a few of them had already reached Rank-3. One notable example was Oscar Quill, Selina's former classmate.

He was a genius on his own. And now with the endless time the Wilds provided and Mater's knowledge, he had no prolems becoming the strongest.

The other classmates were a little bit slower but their path was clear. Soon, they would also join Selina in the peak of the realm.

The Borealis Kingdom had no problem collecting more left over Alchemical Sigils. Mater gave all of them to Rumius, obviously. Each was a boost to the power of the touched villagers.

And soon, that day had to come. The day for the Whitow Village to face the consequences of their actions. They had lost. But they lost on the battlefields of the enemy.

That day, Borealis struck Whitow Village's territory. The vast even planes in the center of the wasteland.

The leader of Ladnign Fortress was Ritony, a cunning dwarf that somehow found his way to the leadership of Whitow. He was not a touched villager nor did he a son or grandson of someone important. But he had a mouth like no others.

The short man stood on top of the fortress wall, overlooking the army marching at them. The unified army of steel and iron.

Ritony wiped his face in depression.

"Fuck!" He shouted. "Why did they have to send that stupid man."

"Who are you talking about?" Bas said.

"Mac. That stupid ambassador. I wouldn't even trust him throwing away trash, let alone being a messenger."

"Eh. Maybe. But who to think that a small village like them could become so big so quickly."

Bas looked over the wall. His bald head was shining.

"Hey, Bas. Since we're dying anyway, you must tell me where you come from."

Bas chuckled. "I'm just a sellsword, Rit. Beside, I expect you to once again find a way out for us with that mouth of yours."

Rit swiped his forehead full of sweat. Even in this cold weath, he was hot as hell.

"I'll try my best."

Unlike the other fortresses, this one opened their gate. Rit rode out with Bas on their horses. They went to the marching army, which had stopped and waited for orders.

The commanding officer of this army was Jace.

Rit stopped in front of him.

"Ah... You must be the famous dwarf. The self-made man."

"Please. I am just a smart little shit with a tongue."

Jace laughed. "I've never heard anyone describing themselves like that before."

"You are..."

"Jace, General of the Borealis Army."

"Jace it is. I'm here to negotiate our surrendering conditions."

"Surrender? You really are unique. No fortresses dared to surrender before. They were too afraid of retaliation from Whitow."

"Whitow isn't here."

"Sure. Speak. What do you want?"

"I want my fortress to be protected. I don't want it to be burned down by your soldiers. Or my people hurt. In exchange, you will have what you're here for. The Golden Tablet."

"Sure. Give us the Golden Tablet first and we'll talk."

"I hid it. No one knows where it is except me. It is not inside the fortress either. I will give you once your army has left this place."

Jace squinted his eyes. "You aren't in the position to negotiate."

"I know. But there's a difference. You can inform the good news to your queen only a day from now. Or you can find that piece of useless gold in weeks and months ahead. Your choice."

Jace chuckled. "You're quite a character, aren't you?"

They shared a glance. None stood down.

Jace breathed out. "Alright. Your fortress will stand. We will not attack it. But you must fall under the Borealis Kingdom from now on. We will take over the control of your city."

"And you promise me our people will be safe?"

"In the name of our Queen, your people will be safe."

The army of Borealis did not attack the fortress that day. Peace was kept thanked to the little mouth of Ritony.

Jace didn't even lead the army inside and instead camped outside the fortress.

"Holy shit!" Bas wiped his bald head. "You did it. Your mouth saved us again."

"Not exactly saving. Thankfully Borealis is quite civilized. And if we give them what they want, they are willing to make peace."

"So where you hid the Tablet?"

"You won't get the location our of me, Spy!"

"Haha..."

The fat cat sat on the map of the wasteland.

"We're getting closer to uniting the human." Mater said. "How are the Sigils doing?"

Rumius the Doberman lay on the floor while Evelynn scurbbing his belly.

"Fuck you, you heartless capitalist. I have been working hard in utilizing those Sigils!"

The Doberman stuck a tongue out and breathed like Mater had been forcing it into enslavement.

Technically speaking, he did. But Rumius's tiredness wasn't relating to Mater at all.

The dog was a workaholic. He just had to blame someone else.

"How is the statue doing?"

"Carly? Yeah, I finisher her design. She should be able to walk soon."

"Carly... So you naed her already. You two are pretty close, huh?"

"Don't imply anything, you fat cat. Our relationship is purely... professional."
