"Have you heard? That small village in the edge of wastland just disrespected Whitow Village."

"Blice Village? They are an okay village. I never thought they even dare to do that."

"Blice? No. Even smaller village. This is Frine Village. They were a village that even Blice Village bullied."

"Then how did it..."

Aster, a Rank-2 ice-touched human, rushed to the Frine Village. She was a drifter. A human with no affiliation to any village.

But Aster was an acquaintance of Jace's father. They were good friends from back in the day.

"Jack... What are you thinking provoking Whitow?"

Astor went to the Frine Village. She thought that she might talk some sense into Jack and tried to tell him to runaway with his people.

But what awaited her was something entirely different.

High medieval stone walls ran all the way around the pine forest. Watch towers every few steps. And soldiers patrolling back and forth upon the walls.

"Huh? Did I transmigrate to a different world?"

Aster couldn't hide her presence too long. The soldiers noticed her.

"Who's there?!"

"Ah, shit! Time to dash!" Aster ran away but he underestimated the soldiers.

Red Chaos wrapped around the soldiers as they bolted to her and surrounded her.

"Red energy? What kind of power is this?"

The soldiers pulled out their Psycho-Blade. Aster laughed at those small daggers.

"What even are those? Are you going to poke me to death?" Aster said.

Then each soldier activated their Psycho-Blade.

"Huh?" Aster widened her eyes.

The small Blade Core spat out pure kinetic energy and turned into proper weapons. Some used long swords. Some used broad swords. Some even used weapons like spears or halberds.

Aster was surprised but she wasn't worried. These soldiers, as weird as they maybe, were only Rank-1. She was a Rank-2, a proper higher-up inside the wasteland.

"Get out of my way. I do not want to hurt you. I only want to see Jack."

"Do not resist and you shall be spared."

The soldiers were uncompromisable.

Aster rushed at them and they collided. Aster's iced gauntlet slammed on the soldier. But she was surprised to be met with a pink barrier with hexagonal scales.

"What is this?!" Aster widened her eyes.

And that was the last thing she thought as the soldier slammed her head with a Psycho Hammer.

When she woke up again, she was already inside the prison under the Frine Village.

"What happened? Where am I?" Aster mumbled. She was chained to the ground.

Jace leaned forward, revealing himself to the dim light of the prison cell. He was on the other side of the jail cell.

"So... What do you want to do with my father?" Jace said.

"Your father?" Aster observed the man in front of her.

He had a scar accross his eyes. And that gaze was that of a warrior that saw too many battles. Even Aster was intinidated by him.

"Jack is even younger than you. What do you mean your father?"

Jace's appearance actually didn't change much because he didn't age. But his vibe and overall tone completely changed. He was not that weak leader that barely able to protect his village. He was a total general.

Jace lit up a cigarette. "When I was stationed in the Venus frontline, we used to bake bread with cow milk to keep our mind sharp. It tasted like nothing but it was reliable."

Creatures in the Wilds were most of the time sentient as well. So those Cow Fey were willingly or unwillingly giving their milk away.

"What are you even talking about?" Aster rolled her eyes.

"Back in those days, I thought about father a lot. He always had the same smell..."

"Charcoal and dust..." The two them spoke in unison.

"You really are his son..." Aster frowned.

"And who are you?" Jace said.

"I am your father's friend. I am here to make sure you won't bring your village to destruction."

Jace pressed his cigarette in the tray.

"To that statement, I'd say you don't know anything about us."

Jace snapped his finger. Chaos leaked out and opened the jail cell. A trick he learned from his Psychic friends in the Wilds.

"Let me show you what Frine Village truly is... Village is an unfit word. We are now called Borealis Kingdom. I am its First General."

Jace showed Aster the new Borealis. A 'village' would be too small to call such a grandiose place such as this.

Mater brought more Psychics from the Wilds to help the villagers. They taught the villagers the power of the mind and many technologies that this ancient world didn't have.

The Frine Village was pushed right through its survival phase and into its medieval phase with stone walls, swords, and shields.

Mater could push the technology even further but he liked the medieval aesthetic on Eternum. They still had modern technology of the Digital City but they just kept the aesthetic the same.

Jace was very surprised the first time he found out how time worked in the Wilds.

"This is... Am i even in Eternum anymore?" Aster was speechless.

"In a way... No. This is not Eternum." Jace said. "This is Borealis."

War came not long after. The Whitow Village marched toward the pine forest. They were much more advanced than the other villages in the area with armor made from hellbeast skins and weapons made from the bones of Undead.

"We're here to get back the honor of the Whitow Village, boys! We shall show them no mercy!" The commander shouted.

"No mercy! No mercy!" The Whitow soldiers roared.

Suddenly, in the opposite of them, Northern Lights filled the sky. They fell onto the ground meteors. Soldiers in full plate armor stepped out from within it.

"What the?"

Whitow stared at the army that came out of the light. A disciplined well-equippes army with uniformed marching formation.

Each had a special high-grade weapon in their hands.

Jace pulled out his ice-touched weapon.

"What are we?" Jace shouted.

"Soldiers!" The soldiers shouted.

"What do we do?"

"Kill!"

"Follow me to war, brothers and sisters!"

"War!"

The soldiers stomped on the ground, causing an avalanche in the far away mountain.

The commander of the Whitow Village sweated.
