Chapter 126: Chapter 126: Rescue

Neo and his group reached their destination in the afternoon.

They descended onto a seemingly empty space in the vast desert. There were no buildings, no signs of life, and no vegetation. There was only an endless expanse of rolling sand dunes.

The raging wind brought waves of sandy air, making their hair flutter wildly.

Neo took the lead.

He calmly extended his hand into the empty space, feeling a solid, hard texture where there should have been nothing but air.

Yes, it was an illusion.

Marcus had given him the precise coordinates and told him about the cloaking illusion surrounding the facility.

While the rest of the group watched, curious as to how he would break the barrier, Neo raised both of his hands into the air.

"Earth Hammer (E)"

"Heaven’s Smite (E+)"

"Greater Strength (E)"

He activated three skills back-to-back, not worrying about the mana consumption at all. He had more than enough in his reserves. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

Furst, a sturdy hammer, made if pure earth elements manifestednin his hands.

Then "Greater Strength" caused his muscles increased his physical power by 200%.

While "Heaven’s Smite" wrapped the entire devastating hammer in crackling, destructive golden lightning.

"Break!" with a thunderous roar, he smashed down on the empty air with everything he had.

BOOOM!

The impact was absolutely deafening. The invisible barrier rippled violently, struggling to absorb the terrifying brute force of the combined skills.

For a second, it looked it could hold just fine.

But the golden holy energy of Heaven’s Smite, gave it way.

CRACK!

The empty sky cracked like spiderwebs of different dimension..

Then, finally it broke..

As the swirling dust finally settled, the true landscape was revealed itself.

Standing in the center of the barren desert was a colossal, fortified metallic fortress.

It was a massive, brutalist tower forged from pitch-black steel, armed with heavy nuclear cannons, dense energy shields, and glowing blue plasma lines.

Neo looked up straight.

It pierced the sky like a giant ominous spear. The end was nowhere in sight.

This was the Rothschilds’ hidden dimension teleporter.

"So this is where those rats hide," Leon muttered, shielding his eyes from the lingering dust. frёewebnoѵēl.com

Even as a veteran, he was utterly astounded by the scale and expense of the Teleportation Tower.

Zestia gripped her twin daggers, her eyes narrowing at the imposing structure, while Noir conjured a hellfire chain.

WEE-OOO! WEE-OOO!

The facility instantly went high alert by a blaring alarm.

Heavy floodlights snapped on, painting the desert in harsh red light.

The giant mechanical gates at the base of the tower hissed, and hundreds of heavily armed sentry Mechas and combat drones began swarming out of the hangar bays to intercept the intruders.

Neo lowered his fist and glanced at Leon and Zestia.

"You guys take care of them. Noir and I are going inside to secure my mother and sister."

Zestia and Leon nodded, stepping into combat formation alongside Elena and Clark.

Without another word, Neo and Noir shattered the barricade of Mechas and headed inside.

The interior of the tower was a massive, bewildering maze. All around them were endless metallic pathways and tightly packed, interconnected rooms. The center of the colossal structure was completely hollow, save for a heavy-duty central elevator shaft designed for rapid vertical transportation.

Neo activated his Spirit Eyes, sweeping his gaze across the facility to search for his family. However, he immediately encountered some kind of intense energy interference. His enhanced vision could not pierce through the heavily shielded metallic walls at all.

He turned to Noir, asking, "Can you find them, Noir?"

She smiled sweetly. "Darling, I can only smell humans in general. I cannot locate anyone specifically."

"That is enough. Lead me to those humans. They have to be in here somewhere. I will tear everything down to reach them," he said darkly.

"Then get ready, darling." With that, she unfurled her magnificent demonic wings, their pitch-black feathers scattering through the air like omens of death.

She swooped straight down the hollow vertical shaft in a steep dive, signaling for Neo to follow.

Neo glided down right behind her, his cold eyes taking in the complex, sprawling structure of the steel-and-bar maze as they descended deeper into the earth.

They plummeted through the central shaft like two harbingers of death.

Whenever they encountered a barricade or a camp of heavily armed guards stationed on the suspended platforms, they didn’t even slow down.

Slash! Crunch!

Noir danced through the air, her pitch-black wings severing energy rifles, reinforced armor, and the men holding them in clean, merciless arcs.

Neo simply crashed through the fortified steel checkpoints like a meteor. His bare fists crushed combat droids and heavily Type 7 beyonders as if they were made of wet paper.

The Byzon guards could only scream in agnoy.

They cleared five entire security sectors in less than three minutes, leaving a trail of absolute carnage.

Finally, at the very bottom of the facility, Noir’s wings cooled down, bringing her to a sudden halt before a rune-inscribed vault door at the end of a heavily shielded corridor.

"They might be inn here, darling. I smell intense fear. And familiar blood."

Neo’s expression turned absolutely glacial.

He stepped up to the colossal vault door, completely ignoring the glowing biometric scanners. He dug his fingers directly into the solid, foot-thick titanium plating, and pulled.

SKREEEEEECH!

With a deafening groan of tortured metal, the massive blast doors were violently ripped entirely off their frames.

As the dust cleared, he saw two figures tied in the center of the room were two figures.

They were battered, clothes torn, and their faces going pale from exhaustion and terror.

They was his mother, Amelia, and his younger sister, Nina.

Hearing the explosive breach of the vault door, Mrs. Godson instinctively threw herself forward as much as the glowing energy chains would allow, trying to shield her weeping daughter from whatever new horror was coming through the smoke.

But as the dust settled, Mrs. Godson became stunned.. Her tear-filled eyes gazed onto the tall and imposing figure stepping out of the shadows.

"Neo...?"

She was in disbelief.
